Kathy is in total denial, if she genuinely believes that Sharon is to blame. Its just convenient to blame Sharon and make her the scapegoat, as Kathy and the Mitchell's close ranks and Sharon becomes the outsider. However, even when Kathy does eventually marry Phil, things go from bad to worse as similar to Grant, Phil turns on Kathy and their marriage goes sour, perhaps Kathy should have taken a closer look at Grant and Sharon's marriage before she decided, who is to blame.
@@matthewdoyle3877 just blatant sexism. It was the mid 90s. So producers would have had old fashioned views. But even at the time I still felt it wasn’t right or realistic that Sharon got all the blame and Phil didn’t.
