This was a fabulous episode. Thank you so much for sharing some of your story, Presvytera. I have a baby in heaven named Seraphim Michael. What a joy to know I will see him again one day, Lord willing. And it’s a joy to know your Michael Seraphim is loving his life and has such an amazing community to support him. God be with you all. ☦️
Being a Presvitera must be the most challenging role in society. Any parish with a good serving priest is subsidised by their Presvitera and her children
I am new to “Everyday Orthodox” and this discussion with Presvytera Melanie is so touching, yet inspiring. I was so taken by her candidness about her personal struggles in youth and college years - to finding strength through faith to be the best mother to Michael Seraphim and channeling that strength to helping others . Thank you for providing this content - this episode is a gift.
Trying to find a church and the Othrodox looks lovely, a lot like the Catholic Church, some say they are both. I hope one day I find my church. Appreciate and enjoyed the content ❤
Hi Melanie! I so appreciate what you are doing! I moderate our UA-cam Live Channel during Liturgy on Sunday morning. Regular attendees are there from as far away as Abu Dabi and Belgium. Others are not able to leave their homes. A year ago I broke my femur, turned on the Greek Archdiocese Liturgy but it was in Greek with no subtitles. I was so disappointed like the deaf seeing movement with no sound. Why don’t we at least have subtitles?! Yes ASL is preferred but subtitles you can even be AT church and see the words with no volume on. (I watch Liturgy on my phone from a sensory safe room until time for the Eucharist). Forgive me for my ignorance in this area. I’m sure you know best and have thought this out already.
