    Key word here: narcissist. One very illuminating comment from OP was that she thought she owed him $1000, but in reality it was $5000 - and that meant that HE was trying to humiliate her! Wow, she's good! Wonder if that would work for her if she had a loan through the bank? He's well rid of this broad, and he made the right decision. And I'd be willing to bet her new boyfriend is only in this for what he can get from her.

      In the UK, it's pretty simple to deal with shared ownership outside of marriage. You can allocate shares at the point of purchase. I did a 50/50 split with my boyfriend before we got married, and then the property automatically converted to marital shared property when we got married. Admittedly, we were unofficially engaged at the point where we bought the house. I wanted a house, he wanted to get married. We agreed to do both. We'd both been married and divorced before so we knew exactly what we were getting in for and we'd both been the ones to sign away pretty much everything from our previous marriages so this is a gold digger free zone. 😆 No pre-nup required. It's entirely possible to divorce without being an AH about it.

    It always bothered when cheaters say "you worked too much that's why i cheated" your spouse was working extra hours so you could live more comfy life. Truth is if you work a lot you are most of the time too tired to cheat, so it's lack of working that causes cheating more likely.

    • @paulman34340
      @paulman34340 Рік тому +5

      It's a nice twofer when you think about it.
      The 1st part of it is it gives you a look into that person's mind if you had made the mistake of believing that they were a good person righteous or any type of positive that type of excuse making just shows you what a vile individual they are. And the 2nd part is it shows you just how much of a Moron They are if they were so desperate for an excuse that they clung upon the most cliche and obviously Not a real excuse they could think of. I feel the hurt someone gets from a cheater is less because they cheat it more because they feel like a fool for not seeing them for the piece of garbage that they are. Sort of like what happened when you take off alcohol goggles, And realize that hot chick that you saw in front of you was actually a bearded woman. Your pride takes a hit that you almost are you already did do it with someone like that.
      I always feel bad when I hear ghosts like the poster debate themselves to try to get back together with such ugly individuals at the end. But it is good when during the pick me they choose the pick they're cheating partner that's for the best because it'll wake the cheated on that their partner was never a good person to begin with and they were a fool for even debasing themselves like this Allowing them to properly move on hopefully making progress before the cheating piece of garbage Decides they actually want them back because things didn't Pan out. At least in that case The cheated on can redeem themselves By telling them where to stick it And get the last word in😊

    People deflecting blame when they cheat is horrible!
    I remember this movie where a girl cheats on her guy, to her credit she breaks up with her boyfriend before he finds out, but still. When they finally talk about why she stepped out she tells him it was his fault because he's a homebody and she did all this work to try to get him out of the house. Seminars, psychology books, therapy, talking to her mom, but nothing made a difference. I could get behind the frustration, but I was frustrated too because she never once mentioned talking TO HIM!!! about being unhappy, or whatever.
    The breakup obviously needed to happen, but there's no excuse for cheating.

      Yeah. Typical cheater nonsense. Blaming the person they betrayed for their infidelity or do anything to justify their cheating. How selfish, how immature, how weak. This is why even if they're not trying to be subtle about how much they suck, I'll always be more angry and frustrated at the cheater than I will be at the victim because even if the victim does act like a doormat, at least they have a chance to grow out of it, especially with a great support group. OP is a nit wit for continually engaging in any communication outside of financial concerns. He allowed her to get him take blame in the failure of the relationship. Needless to say, the cheating fianceè sucks, and OP made the right decision in leaving her dead weight. Thank heavens he found out before the wedding. In my opinion, if you cheat and then blame your betrayed partner instead of communicating with your partner what your problems are, then not only are you selfish, but you're also weak, immature and cowardly. And I know some people would say OP is an idiot, a simp or a doormat and maybe he was, but I think he was another one of those people who probably never had this happen to them before and/or was blinded by love. That being said, I'm glad OP is going to therapy, taking care of himself and realized that he deserved better and even managed to find some new love. A lady who loves him genuinely. I wish OP the best! ❤

  • @fluidwolf

    Dude works to financially support her so she doesn't have to work herself while getting on her feet and she says he works too much. Hate crap like that. Like who do you think he's working FOR? And like he said she never communicated her problems to him yet it is somehow exclusively his fault.
    Also when they cheat they are the one who broke the relationship, not the other person finding out and getting away from them. This idea that it is the person finding out and wanting to not be with a cheater that is what causes the break instead of a partner choosing to cheat on them is just awful.

  • @SteveMichael
    @SteveMichael Рік тому

    I really feel for this guy as breaking up sucks and finding out your fiancé is a liar and cheater is even worse. However, he did not marry her and have children! I am sure not having the dogs will be tough BUT she now has to take care of all 3 of them and deal with a horse. This dude is FREE. He can say that he tried to save the relationship and hold his head up high. She on the other hand, will now be with a dude that has to actually live with this chick. The grind of the daily life will be there AND they work together. This is a disaster waiting to happen and my hope is that this dude does NOT take her back when or if this horrible cheating person comes back. I do think it is to soon for him to be seeing someone else as he needs time to heal.

    One thing I would like to say, and I think this is crucial advice. While the cheating is not his fault, of course, you should never dedicate yourself 100% to someone else's needs, forgetting your own self, especially when you haven't asked if this would be appreciated. Don't assume your partner wants you to be a selfless slave. Always keep a hobby or something just for you, out of respect for your individuality! It's not worth it otherwise :)
