    I'm thinking of doing a bench 200lbs to 400 lbs progression next. Then squat and over head press progression vids after that.

    The hate people spread for switching to sumo is just ridiculous. People have no clue how difficult it actually is to pull sumo... Hip mobility is tremendously underestimated there. I switched from conventional to sumo and it was a night and day. Suddenly after few months of sumo I don't struggle with repping weights that I used to max even with conventional. My current max is 150 kgs. I know it's nothing to brag about but I don't have any straps and belt so I rather use cautious approach. It's insane what you did.

    This is extremely impressive! I’m curious to what your unstrapped deadlift max currently is? I noticed that as you progressed further into understanding how to leverage weight in sumo, you also started using figure-8s, and by the time you hit your 750s your fingers are barely holding onto the bar 👀

      Around 700 lbs without straps.

      Yeah the fingers were nowhere to be seen he just strapped himself to the bar by the end

    Huge W. I'm a lot heavier than you but can only DL 600lb 🤣 Hopefully (like you) I can reach 800 in the next 1-2 years 🙏

    It's a shame to see so many young lifters these days give up on conventional because it's tough on the body and they plateau for the first time in their training. Your last lifts are nowhere near the same movement as the first. As you progress you're just learning to abuse leverages more to give the illusion of greatly improved strength. Its like a bencher arching gradually more and more and claiming all the carryover is true strength. People used to train in the pursuit of true strength, now its just about numbers no matter the mechanism.

      What, I never gave up on anything. I still and always train conventional, i just also train sumo. If you want to see conventional, go watch my other videos. Also people have pulling sumo since the 80s and 90s

    If this guy is truly natty with blood tests to prove the progression he makes is un fucking real esp in sub 170’s …. With or without straps sumo or conventional half the people that watch and comment haven’t deadlifted past 405 or bench past 225…. If you truly are natural impressive man …. If you’re on gear typical gains in this manner are expected and just be honest in this day in age it’ll get you much further

      I would love to all sorts of testing, but I haven't gotten a chance. I will definitely do a video on it when the time comes. As a natural lifter I am very curious on how high my testosterone levels are.

      yeah you stay injury free you'll go really far in the sport of powerlifting thats for sure. to showcase your ability I would suggest better lighting in your videos and better quality camera but at minimum lighting

    • @TheLegMan1
      @TheLegMan1  6 місяців тому +2

      I measured it once conventional was 24 inches while sumo on average was 18 inches, but if I frog sumo it's around 21 inches

      @@TheLegMan1 no I mean in the beginning u used a different grip and pulled the weight all the way up past your knees which is harder now your barely lifting the weight off the ground that’s all I’m saying u spread your legs too wide

    • @TheLegMan1
      @TheLegMan1  Рік тому +1

      Oh i see, but i a lot of variations of it. Maybe i should make a compilation but with only narrow and conventional lifts. Like a 700 lbs frog deadlift for reps or something around that

      @@davidcort2576 its called a sumo deadlift. Depends on your leverages, for some people its alot easier for some people its alot harder. Less ROM doesnt always mean its easier its using different muscles
