As a fan of hannibal (the show) I almost died laughing 😂💀. That comment alone gets a follow from me lmao.
This episode, aside from the town's backstory is almost exactly the same as the game. You switch between playing Joel and Ellie in the different sections. Of course, being a game, there are way more than 4 people who ultimately die, even some infected at the start when Ellie and David wait for James to get the medicine, but you basically switch POVs to play this section. It was all there - cannibal pedos, the bite with the "I'm infected" diversion into killing the other guy with the machete, Joel interrogating the 2 people even down to the kneecap threat and of course the ending where she kills David and Joel holds her and calls her babygirl. All of it.
the acting in this ep was so good, i mean all of them are good, but damn this one had me on my toes.
The guy who played David (think he was also the dude in the final shooting scene of El Camino) really did a fantastic job
The ‘big guy’ in episode 5 is Bloater. The ones in episode 1 are Runners. The ones in episode 2 are Clickers. The one in episode 3 and 7 are Stalkers.

The fact that the reunion scene with Joel at the end was filmed before Ellie killed David.. what an amazing actress Bella Ramsey is. She’s 19 years old!
I love how the show makes you think you need Joel. But you don't. He gets to be an emotional support to what is now his daughter but she got the shit done. At a cost, but she prevailed. Bella Ramsey is extraordinary.
It is not a sin to hunt in the bible. Not religious but grew up very religious. You pray before you eat for this reason. It's kind of a way to honour and be grateful for what "god" gave you

I've been going around watching other people's reaction to this series and I have to say, I think you two are of my favorite reactors so far! I just finished catching up to your videos for the first season prior to the season finale and I am so happy I found your channel when I did! Perfect timing 😄 I've come across so many channels where people are talking over the show (which is fine a little bit.. I mean basically the whole time) and then they ask questions about things that were literally just explained by one of the characters or with some of the material in the scene (flyer, map, radio, etc) and it's been getting a little frustrating. I'm excited to see how much you both like the show in addition to how closely you both watch everything that's happening. TLOU is one of my all time favorite video games as it was basically the first game I've ever played. Highly recommend playing both Part 1 and Part 2 after this series! They are remastering and releasing the game for PS5 and PC after the show blew up - prior to that it was a PS4 exclusive.
I have played the games multiple times now and I just love watching people totally unfamiliar with the world watch this series. It reminds me of how I felt playing the original game for the first time. Sending positive vibes to everyone 💚

All of this happens in the game. They tweaked a few little details but for the most part this is very true to it. Most of the game you play as Joel, but when he gets hurt and is down you begin playing as Ellie and it kind of goes back and forth culminating in the boss fight being us playing as Ellie in the barn trying to battle this absolute psychopath. It was terrifying and I remember vividly even 10 years later the way I felt after she killed him there was no sense of victory, only horror. I set the controller down quietly and took a walk I was so shaken.

When in comes to religion and eating meat I believe the only religion that is against it is Jainism, to do no harm towards any living being. Also Hinduism is against eating beef as the cow is sacred. I'm not 100% sure about the details of this

Lol, im not going to roast my boy, but it's true. Often, for these hbo shows, the final 2 episodes are usually the craziest. For example in game of thrones the episode before the final episode would have the big battle and the final episode would have the hook to bring you back next season.

I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure the arm is the best place for injections. The way Ellie did it thankfully worked, but I'd be terrified of accidentally injecting into one of his organs. But her method probably sped up recovery since it was directly at the source. It's just risky though
It depends, antibiotics, unless in a diluted IV form which this is not, is usually injected in a muscle. If it in injected into the blood stream it can completely shock the system and kill the patient. What she did is not optimal but it could work, i guess. Sticking it in his but cheek would probably have been better. :D
Source: My mom occasionally has to give her horses antibiotics and it looks pretty much like the stuff Ellie got, and in those cases it's administered as an intramuscular injection. I guess to make sure the body absorbs it slowly and safely.

We gamers knew that Joel wasn't coming to save Ellie and that Ellie was going to have to save Ellie--we had been prepped for this since the game was easing Ellie on to us. David was such a creep in the game, and the actor playing him here did an amazing job--I hope people remember that the actor isn't David, and that he's just a guy.
What an epic episode. Bella was the right person for the job. They couldn't have cast a better actress. We're so lucky to have her.
