***** being stuck with a rock for about a week crushing your hand, then BREAKING your own bones AND cutting it is more brave than a soldier doing his job. If he died, that's a shame. He served his country and he is considered a hero. But torturing is %100 worse than killing. And he was torturing HIMSELF, you have no idea how it feels like.

This is an example of a man that cares more about his family than himself, he sacrificed a part of himself just to see his family, cares more about his family and his life than his death, and i see that as a true love, really proud that he chose his family than accepting that he's going to die, tbh anyone would most likely think that they're going to die in a situation like that, but he didn't, and that's sort of my inspiration, never think that you're going to die, when one of you limbs is trapped

I just sat there and watched in horror as this guy whos been stuck under a rock for 5 days. The score, sound effects, camera work was so intense it always stuck with me. I'll never forget the relief and sadness i felt after that ending. I had no idea it was a true story until a year or 2 ago. This man is a hero and deserves a good long life for what he's done. I went to the emergency room but they kept giving me fluids and sending me home. I got to the point where it felt like my body was on fire. I felt like I was going insane. All I thought about constantly was water and food. It took finding high amounts of ketones in my urine to realize I was severely dehydrated and starving before they gave me antinausea meds and I got better. The pain he felt being crushed, dehydrated, and starving out in the elements to then amputate your own arm. I cannot begin to imagine the pain.

Not really, there were other people who took a 10,000 feet fall and still lived today.

Have you ever been in a situation like this no then shut up, and why are you even rude to me when I am not rude to you. and surviving a 30,000 feet fall, which is the world record of jumping of. And surviving a 10,000 feet fall and crawling for nine days in a jungle to a village is more hardcore then him.

I think thats why he said it had to happen the way it happened and he wouldn’t change anything. He needed that experience, and his guardian angels were right there. He made the choice and fought. Fascinating Story.

The fact that no one can imagine being in the situation to remove your arm proves the sort of thing the human mind will do to survive in extreme situations

When you think about it, if you were in his situation, you would probably be happy too if breaking your hand off was the only thing that could save you. Desperate times calls for desperate measures.

This man left a goodbye video the night before telling his family that he'll miss them when they eventually find his dead body. But the next day when he didn't die he realized he could break the bones in his arm and cut through it and decided it was the greatest realization of his life. The Hulk would say he's the strongest man in the world.

Can't imagine the feeling of once you cut off your arm, suddenly a rescue team shows up and you hear above you. "Hold tight, we got all we need here to get the rock off you."

    • @rubenyanez5645

It's the fact that if that family hadn't spotted him that he wouldn't have survived is what really gets me.
I had a dog bite once that was past skin deep. Def went into some minor shock and immediately started cleaning it out. I was whiting out every few seconds before finally calming down enough to breath properly.
I don't ever want to experience that kind of pain again which is why I know the only way I'd be able to do this is if I was beyond desperate and had major nerve damage.
This man is a fucking legend.

There's a specific scene in "Made In Abyss" where they mention that breaking your arm below the elbow makes a big difference in what you can do with it later in life... BUT! It hurts enough that most pass out long before they break it entirely. Alternatively, you can saw through the joints to avoid much of the bone

Even the thought of cutting your arm with a knife might be really scary but you'd be really grateful you have a knife..
And when you are going to do it you just think your going to be free and you wont think about the pain....
    But this man has guts
