Twin Turbo S10 Gets Big Tires!

- In this here video the twin turbo square body S10 gets a set of massive radials in order to put all the power to the ground. The tires are Mickey Thompson ET Streets on a shortened Ford 9" axle from S&W. Strange axles and Wilwood brakes. She'll be rippin soon.

Watched the whole build series, awesome job. Just bought an 02 s10 in the process of tear down now for a 6.0 on nitrous. Hopefully I won't have to tear out my firewall tho. Keep up the awesome work so we can see that bad boy make a pass.

Love the truck. I had same exact tires on my s10 when did the back half. but they were 18.50s and first we took it to the track. it went 6.06 at 115mph in the 8th, on motor alone. With a 434 sbc.. But every one at my home town track runs small tires. So when i came back the next week i went to small tire. Went to a 29.5 x10.5 non W an made a motor pass to shake it down and it went 5.58 @ 128 on motor alone. Just from tire change... it picked up a lil over half a sec on motor alone just buy getting rid of the big heavy radial tires and going to the 29.5 10.5 slicks... and it is amazing how much u can pick up ET wise when u get rid rotating weight.
Yeah I'm looking for a good set of small tires for it but the backspacing basically needs to be 0 haha. It would probably be more competitive in small tire classes anyway
@@SneakyZeke i have the same problem. Im ordering a set of 2 in spacers an narrower, 12 in wide wheels. Ive got the 29.5 10.5 on a 15x15 rim. So it sets in a bit with the narrow rearend and the wide wheel. It looks like a 26 in tall tire on that wide ass rim
@@SneakyZeke i dont wanna run spacers but it will get tire back in grove atleast. But when i get the money im ordering a set of RC components wheels. They have a 15x12 with a 1 inch back space an with that i want have to run a spacer on small tires.

Are those 15x14 wheels with around 6.5”-7” backspacing? Just got my s10 a few weeks ago and fixing to order the “pro stock”’rear frame kit from auto weld chassis. I was just curious on the backspacing needed? Luv the truck man! Been watching your build and it’s coming along great!
Where did you get the wheel tub? Or the extension in the rear so you could put wider tires
swracecars.com/ has great kits for S10's, I highly recommend them.
Better be goin for 1400-2000hp if you got a big tire set up
That's the plan eventually, for now they're just for show kind of, getting a set of small tire for competition
