Probably the greatest movie ever made. George Lucas said he wished Star Wars was one tenth as good as this masterpiece. The fact it didn't win a single Academy Award proves the system is crooked.

Ummmm. "Greatest movie ever made?????" You must not have seen too many movies. This thing is only barely watchable, and only then due to the cute women. And i REALLY doubt Lucas ever said that about this movie. Nice try tho.

The 3 greatest sci-fi movies of all time for me are :
1_ "It Came From Outer Space"(1953)
2_ "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers"(1956)
Which would be best if left in b/w

This copy has been severely cropped along the top and bottom and down both sides.
For example at 18:24 where the standing woman is handing a disc to the guy you should be able to see 5 people and the whole of the table. Only one version on UA-cam is showing the full print and that is the upload from Videospace but it does have large foreign subtitles.

This version has about 2 mins. of audio muted starting ~1:05. While the Italian "spaghetti westerns" had very good writing and production for the Clint Eastwood movies, that is not the case for this one. Spoilers:
They have instantaneous communication with a ship light years away, disregarding the purported speed of light limit. The ship goes to Vega quickly. Star Trek did likewise, but had at least the old saw of hyperspace and warp speed as an excuse. The protagonist is confronted with an evil robot out to take over the galaxy. He misses his chance to press the red destruct button on it (really? Doofenshmirtz: "Why do I build all my inventions with a destruct button, anyway?"), and so he flings a circuit board at the evil robot, citing David and Goliath. The evil robot naturally blows up and is destroyed, and the planet blows up - along with all the friendly humanoids that have asked them for help, except for one that has escaped with them. The friendly alien smiles as his home people and planet all are destroyed. A crew member who has been hacked by the evil robot fights the friendly alien; so everybody just leaves the bay they are fighting in, and the captain spaces them both. More of an epilogue than a Bond film, anyway.

Yeah the film is bad, but honestly having grown up on Gerry Anderson shows (and being a big fan of Space:1999 in particular) I can at least appreciate the 70s space look. Control panels with dozens of multicoloured lights and buttons, practical FX and spaceships filmed with models rather than CG, 'futuristic' synth soundtracks, that's the stuff.
