This is gonna be a bold statement of mine. But this is my personal favorite Marvel film. Mainly because I am a guy who enjoys watching stuff where tough guys are battling monster like creatures. Also the quotes from Blade and song "name of the game" makes it a great watch.
@@TopTechTrendsX Thanks. I did videos on the other 2 Blade films. Peep Blade Marvel's 1st blockbuster and Wesley Snipes vs Blade Trinity. Thanks for the acknowledgement.
@@christopherjones7513 Yeah Highlander Endgame was his first American film. I plan on doing a video essay on some of Donnie Yen's films in the future. I did a video on Jet Li's Fist of Legend. You might like that video.
@@omn8612 I certainly will. Jet's movies were my gateway into kung fu movies, and led me to go backwards to Bruce. Love that this channel (and you) is all in to the same shit as I am, loving it.
Blade 2 for me is my favorite non- MCU film and accentuates my love for the character itself but I do agree that blade is still the better movie but play to has the better fight scenes and interesting story
man, I said something similar about the Damaskinos and Al Ghul comparison years ago (Nyssa is even the name of Talia's Sister) heck they even have a Lazerous Pit type of deal in Blade II with that Blood Pool in that BLade fell into and was healed and rejuvenated. (even with scenes of Eli Damaskinos taking a dip in a more ancient looking blood pool Glad Im not the only one
My thoughts on the whole trilogy the first movie is a great introduction to blade's character, the world he lives in and the conflicts he faces as dhampir The second film further expands his world and show the parallels between him and nomak which raises the question if they lives were reversed what would be the outcome? How different would they be? The Third movie feels bittersweet to a point where I personally feel it was conflicts of ideals between Blade and Drake (Dracula) and calls question Blade's existence I personally enjoy the first movie of the trilogy.
Del Toro should've kept going. Imagine him directing a whole slew of Marvel horror movies. The MHCU (Marvel. Horror. Cinematic. Universe). Blade could've been the Iron Man 1.

It's not bold, Blade 2 is potent. I personally think Blade 1 is the better of the 2 but Blade 2 is dope.
Blade 1 imo
Agreed
@@omn8612 great breakdown still brother.

My first introduction to Donnie Yen as I recall. They should put Donnie in everything.
Donnie Yen is probably my favorite martial arts actor.
@@omn8612 totally agree. I will watch anything he is in. Even if it's Highlander 4.

I like Blade 1 more, it has more black characters and the fight scenes are better.
True l also think Blade 1 is a bit deeper with its racial subtext.

Good analysis of Blade. I recommend checking out my other 2 videos on Blade on the channel you might like those too.
@@omn8612I'll definitely take a look, great video analysis here.(sidenote: what's the name of the music in first half of video?)
@@zachampofo4945 I found that online somewhere. I will share it when I find it in my computer.

That's a good idea. Especially since Morbius was supposed to be in the 1st and 2nd Blade movies.
