Its hard to look past that bed sagging. Right off the bat, it just hurts the truck badly. I don't know how you bring something new to market with such an obvious flaw. But, the over all look of the tacoma is fantastic, I don't want to bash the looks too much, I do appreciate the *licensed body. The counter rotating drive shafts look like an interesting cure for tork twist.
The sagging body is an easy fix. I also don't know of any Rc car that's perfect out of the box. Axial crawlers have so many flaws. Does that mean we should exclude it from the market? Of course not. This flaw is minor compared to many other name-brand RCs.
I saw scale builders guild, this am I noticed right of the bat in the running footage, that the bed was not looking quite right , another welcoming rig to the stress relief we call crawling, so therapeutic! Great video as always!
Flip the C hubs to put the Bump Stops at the rear to improve steering throw, also you can swap to alloy steering link and move the mounting point to innermost hole...
Opening seconds had me 🤣🤣🤣. Front cab looks AMAZING! Rest of the truck ... not so much. Great review as normal, appreciate your hard work and content as always!
Those dang axles haven’t changed yet! 😥 Those things are huge! Glad they moved the battery and put the servo on chassis though. I have the V1 coyote and have done soooo many upgrades to it. Thanks as always for the in depth reviews and tests!
That controller is just like the one I ordered for a WPL c-24-1 kit I built a few years ago and it's still going strong I think it's a Austar Hobby AX-7S 2in1 but for $20 I swear by the the electronics that it has.
I'm liking the long wheelbase on this one, and, of course, the transmission! My SCA1E Range Rover has the battery up front, but the torque twist was pretty bad, especially since I softened up the suspension. So I fitted a fairly hefty anti sway bar at the back, it's reasonable after that. I wonder if I can adapt that transmission onto mine!? And just to give you a laugh, I'm running olive oil in my shox!!!!!!! 😅
It needs two things before I'd buy it: First, fix the sagging bed. Second, a color option besides black. Meanwhile, I have my eye on the Axial Base Camp.
That bed flop gets me. I hate that part so much I’d build a flat bed for it or do some sort of support to make it not do that. Love the details of the truck though.
I have the v1 lynx, first crawler, soooo many mods now, I wonder if this body will be my next upgrade... I built it into a lightweight 1.9 comp w/ hyrax tires, upgraded servo and batt placement swap this thing competes! Keeps up w/ rigs that are way more$
Great review as always Greg ,thorough yet to the point, I'm having a hard time looking past the sagging bed but I'm pretty sure with a lil ingenuity one can remedy that. On video it appears to have a lot of wheel offset ,I'm curious if that has anything to do with them backing off on the end point and having such huge steering radius, are they concerned it'll hit the bumper or inner body, Great video....
This is a good looking truck with great solutions like the battery in the front and the in different directions spinning drive shafts. And all for a fair price. If my grand children someday want to crawl this is the right choise. But I have one big question. What does the coffee cup on the box mean? Can the rig brew me one out on the track?
Greg, good video nice detailed review, that TX would never work with my filming rig and the rear bed bobs up and down in every video i have watched, nice looking rig but i wont be getting one.........keep up the great content
I just got one. I’m struggling over here trying to figure out how to plug in the mpg1 card to change to liPo. I’ve had it two days and I haven’t even been able to drive it. How did you do it?
Awesome looking rig. Carisma it’s time to move away from those shocks. We need smaller not larger shocks bigger is not better when crawling in my opinion
Wouldn't touch anything ever again from Carisma, cheaper than dirt and customer service is non existent. Belongs in Toys R Us. Try taking the axles apart without stripping the screws, cheapest plastic and hardware they could possibly use. They fool everyone with a flashy licensed body. Trust me on this one folks.
@@jjm2948 Fair enough, I've owned many different rc's over the years, one of them was the Carisma F150, same chassis. I have a video on it, I thoroughly went through ever single part on that truck. I was blown away at how poorly it was put together. My own opinion. 👍
So sad, such potential. Too much competition in new trucks being released right now to put one out with such obvious flaws. They will regret this decision, I see another price drop in it's near future.

@@FarmerFpv what??
Gmade also offers the counter rotating driveshafts.
Agreed but it wouldn't be bad to level the bed out
That's a gorgeous rig. The sagging bed is an easy fix. I love my Tacomas & Tundras.
Yup, I have a few ideas. It’ll be sitting pretty soon. But I had to be honest and show it as is in this video.
I saw scale builders guild, this am I noticed right of the bat in the running footage, that the bed was not looking quite right , another welcoming rig to the stress relief we call crawling, so therapeutic! Great video as always!
I wanna see this go against the knightrunner
Knightrunner will make it his b*****

Great video dude & a Great looking truck 👌🏼

Wow, that's one GREAT looking truck, if the bed sag can be corrected.
I may need to have this in the garage.
Absolut Spitze☝️👍🤝
Sagging rear bed was a super simple fix.
Best reviews here.
This truck in a 1/24 scale would be awesome!
Great looking truck

Very nice truck

That is a nice looking truck🤩
The Knightrunner with Knight customs grille still looks better and doesn’t have a soggy bed, but still a cool release
Hello from southeast alaska that is a cool looking truck bro

looks good but definitely needs a support extension for the bed to fix the sag...and not a big fan of the huge pumpkins on the axels
Nice rig… Bed bouncing around is definitely! Good beginner trail truck.
Good evening Greg. Nice truck but yeah I agree. Good video man and like button selected.
Sick.. we have the Brat! Definitely needed a better esc.
Good review
I like that body and the wheels for a different truck. I’d just fix the bed by fabbing a rear bumper for it to mount to
Great review looks awesome.. 👍🤩🚴
Very cool.
I’m curious to see if the chassis mounted bumpers fit the body well and prevent the bed from flopping. It would also look better with 1.55” wheels.

Steering is easy fix flip chubs and better servo with longer horn
Real ?
Wow looks great 👍
Put a dig feature on that and little more overdrive be great 👍

I'm sure you will come up with a fix for that rear bed. That would bug me too being such a nice looking truck
Please do a carisma SCA-1E mitsubishi pajero, I'm thinking of buying one, would love to hear your thoughts on it .
I just got one and the third time playing with it and steering servo s*** the bed
So many new RC's its hard to keep up
What’s the wheelbase?
I just got one. I’m struggling over here trying to figure out how to plug in the mpg1 card to change to liPo. I’ve had it two days and I haven’t even been able to drive it. How did you do it?
Very cool
Good other then the goofy offset
350 hmm paying for that license . Looks nice
LMFAOOOOO 4:25 HIVTEC charger
Tacoma obviously doesn’t have a solid axle but it’s still a good looking rig nevertheless.
Awesome looking rig. Carisma it’s time to move away from those shocks. We need smaller not larger shocks bigger is not better when crawling in my opinion
I would rather have a TRX4 Sport any day of the week for this price, this looks like a radio shack toy.
and it also twerks..🤣
I was gonna get this one buy the knightrunner looks alot better that bed sagging I'd a big no no
it's begging for Knight customs parts
I'm so early i don't know what to do...
Good looking truck except the bed droop. Poor thing looks like it needs to take a shit. Lol

Lose those obnoxious useless axles and ill buy one.
I won’t buy another Carisma rc, not impressed with the quality and parts availability
Absolutely first thing I noticed, looks horrible
