Imagine if this is how the Tyranids started out before becoming the galaxy eating beasts we know today. There's actually a theory floating around that suggests the Tyranids weren’t always the ultimate threat, but were themselves fleeing from something even worse. According to this theory, they were once an intelligent species, capable of intergalactic diplomacy and all that civilized stuff. But, after being pushed to the brink of extinction by this unknown greater threat, they were left starving and desperate. To survive, they reverted to their primal instincts, consuming any biomass they could find to stay alive. Pretty wild, right? But hey, it's just a theory... a grimdark game theory.

this proves the fan theories wrong. The old ones did not create nids to wipe the galaxy clean. The nids naturally evolved .
where did that theory even come from, it's explicitly stated that Tyranids came from outside of the galaxy
