    I haven't been quail hunting since I was 25 I just turned 50 I'm going to start getting back into it this winter, I live in Arizona we can do that here LOL. But this recipe is definitely going to get used this year.

    That looks fantastic! Out of curiosity, why did you choose peanut oil?

    • @NYCoturnix
      @NYCoturnix  4 роки тому

      Because I have a bunch of different oils.. I use that one special for taste (marinades, stir frys..)

    With a charcoal grill put the quail on the COOL side NOT direct heat cause they will burn.

    I plan on raising my own quail but haven’t actually eaten it (only yummy quail eggs). So this is extremely helpful! Looks so yummy and easy!!! How long can you keep it stored after processing them?

    • @NYCoturnix
      @NYCoturnix  3 роки тому

      You can keep them in the freezer for as long as you keep any other meat, so I guess it depends on who you ask, but I usually keep my frozen meats no longer than around 18 months or so. Thanks for watching!

    How long do you cook them for? I know they cook fast and dry out easily

    • @NYCoturnix
      @NYCoturnix  4 роки тому +1

      They cooked just under 30 minutes

    do you always skin your quail or do you sometimes do them skin on .

    • @NYCoturnix
      @NYCoturnix  4 роки тому

      I have a habit of just skinning them.. but that will be changing with the next batch

    My guy, my cortunix flock has killed by a squrriel. My last remaining quail was killed inside her coop by either a very small nimble cat or a squrriel.

    How much time each side?

    • @NYCoturnix
      @NYCoturnix  3 роки тому

      probably around 11 minutes

    • @bhaswatiroychoudhury9848
      @bhaswatiroychoudhury9848 3 роки тому

      😱 11 mins each side means we have to eat those poor quails all charred!

    • @NYCoturnix
      @NYCoturnix  3 роки тому

      @@bhaswatiroychoudhury9848 I forgot to mention - I keep one part of the grill cooler than the rest. I move the meat around
