Your methodology was poor rather than your knowledge, you spent far too long thinking about one's you'd forgotten rather than just spamming the one's you know. There were whole areas of the map you didn't get to in the 30 minutes.
Was watching one of your other videos earlier on. I love your knowledge of London and you've aspired me to take on the knowledge. The geographical centre of London is a bench outside Somerset house just before the left turn into temple place on the river side of the road. Thank you for all your videos you're a true hero of a cab driver and a person!!!
When I did it the first time, I got about 38%. I'm not a Londonder, and not even a Brit. I've just visited once and watch a lot of Geoff Marshall's videos. Definitely harder than I thought it would be.
Really great effort for a road nerd rather than a railway nerd! I wouldve almost gotten them all as a railway nerd who knows the layout of the map but wouldn’t have known any road names, points of interest, business etc etc. so cabbies are still the masters of London!
Having just done the London Underground jigsaw while I recover from a hernia op, I am impressed with your knowledge. I know where many are but generally only to the correct area. DLR was to new for me.
I've done this, put them in the order I remember them. Then there are the places that have more than one station: Acton, Wembley, Aldgate, the Hams in east London
I left London 36 years ago, and never lived on or near either the Underground, what has become the Overground or the DLR, but I reckon I could get 75% within 30 minutes. There are probably 5-10 % I'd struggle with even if given an hour, almost all of them on the Overground or DLR. Put Croydon Tramlink into the mix, and there'd be a few more I'd have difficulties with, even though it was more my old area!
I got up to 95% but that took me weeks! I would leave it and come back to it like a jigsaw puzzle. I never peeked but any time I was taking the tube or Overground I would study the maps again. But some stations would just come to me randomly so I'd open the laptop and pick up where I left off. Still haven't completed it though!
You gave yourself too litle time to locate 510 stations: 272 underground, 113 overground, 45 DLR, 41 Elizabeth line & 39 tramlink (although there are many, many interchanges) and that's not including ALL the mainline suburban railways within Greater London
Ok if your gonna struggle then rather than 50% how fast can you can complete zone 1,2. do you think you could do Z3 as well? try the ones like that in the main zones you work and see how fast you get them first before morning on to the rest.
@@TomtheTaxiDriver Ohh Tom, now that you acknowledged you should try it out. I know it would be an epic collab. By the way, I really like this content too, the taxi rides are really great but general knowledge about London is awesome. Keep doing this great content
You live in Northwood and you didn’t get Northwood Hills 🤣🤣 come on (I’m from Ruislip originally) Fun one Do they have a city of London street map guessing game 👀
I'm a Belgian who's been to London twice in his life and I'm overly proud to say I got a better score than you, GeoWizard AND Geoff Marshall as well. On the other hand I guess that means I'm somewhat 'on the spectrum'.
This is a Geoff Marshall type of game !
There needs to be a Tom vs Tom with you and Geowizard!
Whether thats with Geogessur or whatever, I would love to see a collaboration between you two.

That’s a wicked score 👍🏻
No chance. Not a Londoner and not a brit you would never get 38%

in hindsight maybe don't go in order of stations...just spit out any station name you remember lol
I'm so glad to finally see you do this! This was another awesome UA-cam video by you Tom the Taxi Driver 😊
Tom, at 19:40 the station was Queens park, not kensal green mate
Having just done the London Underground jigsaw while I recover from a hernia op, I am impressed with your knowledge. I know where many are but generally only to the correct area. DLR was to new for me.
Would love more tube content, great work as always!
Did NOT expect that at 10:01 😂😂
Jay Foreman vibes
Was thinking he needs Jay or Geoff marshall 😂 would be a great collab.
Wasn't there a gameshow of some sort on TV where Jay went on and his subject was remembering Tube stations or similar?
@@MysteriousFigure your right, can't remember the name but it's on UA-cam remember seeing it on here a few months back.
@@MysteriousFigure yeah he went on some stephen mulhern show and had to remember the fastest journey between two specific tube stations
Good effort on the chase! The questions you got were challenging. Will you do a video talking about the day?
I'm surprised you've still got your cabbies badge after your lack of knowledge on the chase , valiant attempt through, keep up the great videos.
Why?

I was there shouting every time you got half the name hahah. Good effort!
Great video. Thanks Tom
Would be insane to see some sort of mission with you and Geowizard. Something involving both your skill sets, and being a 1v1.
Me screaming at the screen for Tom to do the 7 Acton stations.
U need ask jay forman he can name the all
272 Stations is just insane to say the least.
Well done, very interesting
New York has 472 OMG.
Tom somehow I can name the entire London Underground map Elizabeth line and overground despite not living in London
That’s impressive 🙌🏻
Hi Tom I thought you would have done better in the chase I couldn't believe it.
I tried
Tom, you’ve gotta do the jig-saw of the exact same map. I completed all the stations but gave up on the white background.
I was shouting "Maidenhead" (my hometown) and other Lizzy Line stations until 25:43 😂
I got up to 95% but that took me weeks! I would leave it and come back to it like a jigsaw puzzle. I never peeked but any time I was taking the tube or Overground I would study the maps again. Hornchurch, Ickenham, Hainault, Cockfosters...
I got 270 of the 272 underground stations, I missed Bounds Green and Becontree.
Only got around half the overground and DLR stations
Seen you on The Chase Tom bet that was an experience.
Tooting your cab horn 😂 🚖
I've visited all 272 London Underground stations, but I don't think I could name them all though

I just did mind in 2 hours and 45 mins but I did have to starch my head a few time, mainly on London overground lol
Very impressive dude, wish I could even get close!
you should reveal all stations and show your reaction to missing ones 😂
I would be kicking myself as it’s in the brain somewhere ha

Very good stuff !
I got 21%, but I don't live in London, rarely if ever use trains and never even been on the Tube.
You should do a collab with jay Foreman and compete
Yes, I second this. Someone should let him know.
Ahah! No contest for him, and he’d sing it simultaneously!
@@TomtheTaxiDriver Ohh Tom, now that you acknowledged you should try it out. I know it would be an epic collab. By the way, I really like this content too, the taxi rides are really great but general knowledge about London is awesome. Keep doing this great content
Imagine my shock at a taxi drivers South London knowledge being shocking 😉
You live in Northwood and you didn’t get Northwood Hills 🤣🤣 come on

Fun one
Do they have a city of London street map guessing game 👀
Used to love getting the H13 to the Lido and walking back to the other end. 😅
@ what a bus. Takes you the most indirect route of all time 🤣
You missed Kensington Olympia

Hey tom, I seen you on the chase this week unlucky mate
You no London a lot better than me I'm terrible reading maps
Seen you last night dude on
Kings road.
Would love some sort of collab between you and GeoWizard, there's definitely scope for a great crossover there.
You missed the Harrows 4 there ......
You got Picadilly circus Leicester Square Covent Garden
Were you on the to show the Chase?
I managed to complete it on my third attempt somehow!
Did I see you on the chase the other day
You don't mean Oakwood Leisure Park in camomern In Pembrokeshire
Warwick Avenue is name of sound
So many acton stations 😄
You did well. I use to be a leafleter and I could do better on that
And London City Airport
queensway station is on queensway
Bakerstreet
I got 44.1%, not too baddddd
Arsenal is by the new Arsenal stadium
Arsenal is by the old Arsenal stadium, no converted into flats

Just shows you ride around in the cab to much… I’m sure your customers would be happy to get out with you and take a trip on the tube instead….
