Too bad it is an abridged version. Some marvelous parts are missing, for example near the end that sublime section with the mournful saxophones. I know there is an abridged version made by VL himself.

Then it will be played more often because it doesn't take a too large part in a concert. Compare with making suites by the composer out of complete ballet music.
