I was just feeling discouraged because I have been saving for a van, but added the cost of a build out to the cost of a van and found out it would take me forever to afford it. But…I love what you have done so affordably and that it looks so put together, not junky! I think I can do this! Thank you for sharing 👍
I'm a Virgo. When I look at spaces, apt., vans, etc. I mentally reorganize. It's a decease 😒but not this van. O M G (Janice's voice) amazing. So much stuff and it doesn't look cluttered. Masters 👍
Thank you so much! We hope you found some helpful tips if you are looking to go a No Build route! Happy travels! Keep making memories & adventure on! ~Karen & Shannon WOY
I am so impressed by your no build van. Would score 10/10 for comfort, practicality, design. The only thing is I don’t understand how this video hasn’t got millions of views. Thanks Ladies, I have learned so much from this 😊
How kind of you! We appreciate the encouragement! We hope that you found something that will work for you - we have very much enjoyed sharing our process.............
That is one of the best van set ups I've ever seen, I love the idea of using the lockers for storage, who wuld have thought of that, two people living in a van and you have as much if not more room than any I've seen. Amazing ladies, enjoy your life on the road.
Thank you! We appreciate the kind words! We are not full time van lifers - but we spend as much time as possible traveling in the van! Travel on and thanks for watching!
It worked out well and was the perfect solution for us with our set up! We knew we did not want the typical van build. Took a bit of time to fine tune, but we are perfectly happy with it! Thanks for watching!
I love your "no-build build!" Those lockers are great! I often have a time trying to explain to my Husband where things are stored! With those lockers, I could simply say, "Darling, is in the #3 space of the Kitchen Locker!" He may actually find it!!
Yrs ago I was researching van camping safety, and one man talked of his experience and said “now” his first act to secure his safety was 1. He parks facing the exit, 2. All things are put away each. evening , 3. His drivers seat is always empty so if need be he can drop into the seat and depart (also he puts his key in the ignition) and 4. He finds where nearest police station is and writes their address and where he is on a small white board. This action saved his life. He had arrived late, so he just left everything in place. Thugs mistook him for someone and came with bats and guns. He drove off in his boxers and went to nearest police station where his attackers were identified by his front cameras.
There’s a lot of things that people don’t like to think of when they’re camping. Not only in a rest area or an off grid location but in a private campground. It’s a wise idea to have your own defense and health care plan in place for God forbid the day it happens to you, # 1 is to make sure that your phone is charged. The second one is the one my Father always said that is a wise choice is to travel with a dog. It doesn’t matter the size of the dog I’ve known Long Haul Truckers that had a medium sized dog that traveled with them for the purpose of not being alone and having the companionship, but to have an alarm system of sorts. All the best wishes enjoy your travels.
Thank you! We had tried to find some NO BUILD ideas when we were planning out ours - and couldn't find what we needed so once we figured ours out (with LOTS of trial and errors - lol) we figured that there HAD to be others out there looking for the same approach - a TRUE NO BUILD approach! Wishing you happy travels!
Finally. The van build outs use up an incredible amount of precious space just for the building materials & infrastructure in the quest to reproduce a tiny house. You two dont appear to lack for anything. Great video.
Guys you really do have everything sorted there, it's really impressive and I love the puppy pad idea for wet shoes, that's genius! Such a good set up ! ~ Anna
What a great idea for a build. It's my dream to get a van and go travel. I'm 69 years old, pretty healthy and active but I still don't want to have to build a whole van nor do I even know if I could so this would work great
I love your no-build set-up! Everything is so well thought out, organized, and clean. If I move up to a cargo van from my minivan camper, I will utilize many of your ideas.
I intended to do a nice build on my Promaster in 2019 but the plandemic put a halt to my plans and I'm glad I didnt build it because my life's needs have changed through the years and not having anything permanent has been a blessing. I also like having access to the use of bungee cords and magnets. Also, I lived in my cargo van for three years without insulation, and it worked out fine.
Agreed! We have been just fine without the insulation! So glad to hear that you have been able to change as needed - that is the beauty of this approach! Thanks for joining us!
Love love love this set up. I couldn’t find a no build set up that I liked. Like you, I didn’t want to spend my money on the van build but in traveling. I already had decided that I was going to use a cot, but these magnetic storages are just too good of an idea to let it pass. Now I can think, again 😂, of buying a van instead of a minivan. Thank you for such a great video. Subscribed!!!
Thank You!!! So glad it helped you with your planning! Fran is set up perfectly for us and we have found we have everything we need. Thanks for watching!
@@wanderingoutyonder yeah when it folded up into one single step stool I was like all in on that! Thank you so much for sharing your van with us-i love that its so organized and everything just makes sense. ❤️
Just fabulous! I may never be full time but this would work for a part time no-build van. I love your organization and how clean and neat you keep it. I want a van now.
Honestly THE BEST most creative and comfortable setup I've ever seen! Ive been considering this van for the same reasons you posted. The lockers are a great idea!
I watch a video of a couple in Alaska whose van was not lined and the metal was exposed. They explained why they removed all the insulation... Our iMax has just the factory lining with a custom kitchen, and bed box. Works for us in -0° to 30° C. It is our five seater town car and converts to a campervan in minutes. To date our longest trip was seven weeks including three and a half weeks in Tasmania.
Thank you so much for posting this. I foolishly let a friend gut my half built van to remodel it but the remodel has proven to complicated. I'm ready to head out in a week and throwing together a "no-build" build currently. Y'all have provided some great ideas!
Glad it helped! We very much love to hear that some of our approaches may be helpful. Thanks for watching and we wish you happy travels on your adventures!
This is SO useful! You two packed a lot of intelligent design into this van. Thank you so much for sharing your work. I especially appreciate the many detailed descriptions of what you did and how you did it.
Very well done, ladies. Just found this channel and I'm starting a build and I've always said keep it simple, Thoreau would be proud of you. Lol. I built my first van in 1974 and traveled pretty much all 48 states and I didn't keep it as simple as I should have but it worked. All the best and I have hit the follow button so I'll be looking for your next video
Good to take care of the step in! I've heard the #1 accident experienced by van dwellers is falling while stepping in & out of the van. It's so easy to become absent minded while walking in & out your door everyday anyway. I'm one who has experienced a bad ankle break from this very thing, looking at the scenery around me. I've trained myself to always look down at the steps before exiting now, & hold onto something if I can... & make sure your step doesn't rock & is leveled. Great tips you gave here. Take care, ladies!
We can believe that! We were finding that we weren't able to grab our balance before continuing on in or out - and if we had items in our hands it was making it just that much more difficult! The step has been a HUGE help for us in the van! Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much! We are glad to hear that you found some helpful information - we have done a few changes since then - if you would like to see the updates: be sure to also see: ua-cam.com/video/wXHWU_Bekuc/v-deo.htmlsi=na-zZisTJz_qlS7u
The is probably the most creative and amazing use of storage space in a no build van I have ever seen. The use of magnets, magnetic bins, etc. with the existing exposed metal is so well thought out. The lockers, that is cool! Subscribed.
I am in awe of the layout and organization of your van. Well planned, thought out, and efficient. So "Magnetic!" 🙂 On my next road trip, I am going to get one of those laundry bags, some of those dampered bags, small magnets to hang stuff to dry, and a small magnetic light. Very informative. Wow! Very nice!
Hi Ron! Thanks for the kind words - we are still fine tuning a few things, trying out some new additions and such - but for the most part are super happy with this layout. It worked cross country for us and remains to take care of all of our needs! The laundry bags are great - (they keep the smelly hiking clothes at bay!) and are easy to carry to the machines when it is time! The DampRid bags are a MUST for us - we recommend those to ANYONE vehicle camping! Yes - we are all about the magnets baby! Lol - take care! Keep making memories & adventure on! ~Karen & Shannon WOY
Best vid I have seen. You have done a great job giving a complete, no rabbit trails,to the point, intelligent with great flow and well made video. This has really encoraged me to work on a no build.Thank you so much!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Those fold up steps are great. It is amazing what products are out there. I love the mailboxes. All your lockers and bins are so handy. You are so organized. I have a few leftover puppy pads. I need to put them in the travel trailer!
Thanks so much for watching! We LOVE our steps - they are probably one of our favorite upgrades! And yes, our lockers are another one of our favorites - so handy yet so simple! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic! Just what I dream to do to either a utility trailer or preferably a van. I love the Ford Transit vans, and am so impressed by what you both have done with your blank slate! Happy trails!
Thank you, Ladies. I love your minimum build van. The only thing you didn't really get to describing is your bed/cot solutions, but that's OK, perhaps you did it elsewhere. I love seeing people's van homes but many seen disorganised and messy: I think the owners can immediately find anything they want, but I prefer a highly organised space (even if my own space is very imperfect when it comes to that). I really appreciate how neat, organised and tidy your van is - it is very visually pleasing and relaxing. Since I live in the UK I do notice that you have no real insulation in your van. Perhaps you don;t need it where you are. That's OK I am now in love with magnets!
So glad to hear that you found some helpful things! We felt that the insulation was not necessary for us - again -we do not live full time in the van - if we did - that may be something that we consider. We DO have a video of the bed set up and will be covering it more in depth soon! Thanks for joining us.
Great job of utilizing the space, making it functional, and keeping it eye-pleasing! If it were mine, I'd put some insulation on the ceiling. The car industry uses what's called "shoddy." You could put it up by gluing magnets to it. Thanks for sharing!
My thoughts exactly as Ariz. has 120+ temps, in C.FL everyday record highs, and a van is a hot tin box in heat and a very cold box in the winter. I love how you utilized the metal and magnets, but this IMO is a 'fair weather' set up, not to practical for a full timer who suffers bad weather at times.
I absolutely love this! So organized and versatile. I'm like y'all, a place for everything and everything in it's place. I heard magnets attract Aliens! lol.
Excellent video. Your Mali is stunning. They love to work as you know so carrying something, anything, gives them such purpose. It’s so good to see you back in the road. 💜🐾
Oh nice - we will have to check out those! The blue is functional - but sticks out - the charcoal color would match a bit better in the van! Thanks for the heads up! “Keep making memories & adventure on!” ~Karen & Shannon WOY
Wonderful and awesome job ladies, thank you for sharing this with us, I pray 🙏 to God to someday be a van lifer too, it's cheaper living and you're always home no matter where you are ❤❤️ y'all and I give y'all 5🌟's
Me too, even if your house is paid for, there is still taxes, insurance and utilities. Maintenance and cost of so many other things just add up. I think people are waking up, the American dream is not so dreamy being that mouse on that wheel to keep the lifestyle going.
I actually thought of using lockers. Do they rattle when you drive? I would do something simple like this to begin at least. My reason for considering van life is to be able to work and save money and not pay rent. Starting out with a huge van conversion expense is counterproductive. I don't need to make a van look like a house or rustic cabin. I basically need a bedroom and efficiency kitchen on wheels.
That was kind of our approach! We did a video on JUST the lockers (install and then another on how we keep them quiet -lol) You may find these helpful: NO BUILD Storage Lockers & Magnetic Options: Simple Van Camper Set Up For Clutter Free Camping ua-cam.com/video/ZnLwW2nhJcQ/v-deo.html NO BUILD, SIMPLE EASY STORAGE NO CLUTTER Adventure Van Project: Working on a Storage Solution: ua-cam.com/video/yaCUJQe41fE/v-deo.html Good luck & happy travels!
You can use Plus Nuts to install items into the holes in the van. Its like using anchor mounts for screws but used in vans and pther metal applications.
We use those DampRid bags in our beach condo. We hang them in every closet and in a few other places throughout the condo. They really help. And you can see exactly how much water you pull out of the air. It is amazing.
Hi ... Absolutely, brilliant use of space & so many useful tips to help living in a tiny van, like mine. Just subscribed & I look forward to seeing your past vlogs and new ones too. Kind Regards Buddeanie from London, England.

I was just feeling discouraged because I have been saving for a van, but added the cost of a build out to the cost of a van and found out it would take me forever to afford it.
But…I love what you have done so affordably and that it looks so put together, not junky! I think I can do this!
Thank you for sharing 👍
So glad to hear that it has given you hope!! We wish you the best of luck! Happy Travels!
Great tour. I'm 54 and just planning out my first live-aboard van. I like this idea for getting to know how I will eventually have my build.
I love this video. It made me excited to believe that my life is not over at 70. Thank you ladies.
So glad! We wish you TONS of luck and happy travels!

I'm 71 & starting soon
One of the BEST no build vans I’ve ever seen. Love how organized and well thought out it is! Amazing!
Glad you like it! We love to hear that we may have shared some helpful ideas! Happy Travels and thanks for joining us!
My thoughts exactly! Perfect for what I have in mind. ♥🏳🌈
SO, SO, PRACTICAL! And when you want to take everything out, it's not so complicated. Loved it.
Thank you so much! We appreciate you watching!
I’m a cancer and do the same thing in every space, definitely not just a Virgo trait.
Yes 100000%
Maybe it’s a “disease.” .??
Same!!! But not here!
That's it, after viewing 1000s of rigs, this is the best!!!!! And no build, omg, ty for sharing!
Awesome! We hope that you found some helfpul information!
I think I've watched this video over a 100 times! So well thought out and neat!
Awwww....that's great! Thanks for watching!!!
I REALLY like the way you thought outside of the box, using the REAR door as the entrance. Very nice, ladies. Great ideas! Thanks for sharing! 🌸
That's a great idea! We are so glad that you found something helpful! Thanks for watching!
OR SHE forgets where "things" are?
The metal lockers are the Best Idea Ever! Love all of your ideas!
We REALLY love those!!
Wow! What a fiasco! Lots of great information here! Thank you for sharing!
@pointingdog7235
if gods were real!
@rgruenhaus in the Bible God said, the fool says in heart, there's no God. I lost nothing if He's not real, but if He's real you lost everything 😊.
I couldn’t live like that. Thinking every night, at bedtime, that someone may awaken me trying to break in.
This is the best and most logical no build my husband and I have ever seen and we’ve been watching them for 3 years. The best!
Well said! Thank you! We are so happy with our set up!
Excellent all around including no mice can get to anything!
We have had no issues with mice, thanks for watching!
This is the best no build build I've ever seen...and I've seen them all.
Thank you so much! We appreciate that! We hope you found some helpful ideas! Happy Travels!
I didn't hear if your rig is insulated in the walls some way to help with heat and cold. Great ideas.
This probably the nicest van I have seen, a place for everything and everything in its place.
Thank you! We hope you found something helpful!
Guys you really do have everything sorted there, it's really impressive and I love the puppy pad idea for wet shoes, that's genius! Such a good set up ! ~ Anna
Hi guys! Thanks - we are always looking at creative ways to tackle an issue! Thanks for joining us!
What a great idea for a build. It's my dream to get a van and go travel. I'm 69 years old, pretty healthy and active but I still don't want to have to build a whole van nor do I even know if I could so this would work great
It has worked fantastic for us! Everything has a purpose and place and works very well into our adventures, thanks for watching!
We’re having a drinking game tonight for every time you say ‘utilize’! 🍺🍺🍺
Very informative vid though.
Thanks!
Hope you found something helpful. Happy Travels
Everyone needs a Shannon, someone good at remembering the names of everything and such😊
Thank you for watching!
The expensive van builds are amazing, but I can’t afford that. This was more practical for my budget. Good job! 😊
Thanks! 😃 We hope that you are able to get out and start adventuring! Safe travels!
Your van is amazing! The organization and use of the holes in the van and the metal with magnetic bins etc., is just fabulous!!!
Thanks so much! 😊 We hope you found a few things that may be helpful! We appreciate your comments!
Happy Travels!
So practical and so tidy - plus 2 or 3 really useful tips - puppy pads and hanging dehumidifiers Wonderful.! Thanks ladies.
Glad it was helpful! Happy travels!
I love your no-build set-up! Everything is so well thought out, organized, and clean. If I move up to a cargo van from my minivan camper, I will utilize many of your ideas.
Please do! We wish you safe & happy travels! Thanks for joining us!
The pee pads are a great idea! And I like how your beds are separate. It takes more room but I bet you get a better night's sleep.
Glad you saw a few things that may be helpful! Thanks for watching!
Took away so many things I want to do! So inspiring. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Thank you! Glad to know we inspired your thoughts on your own set up!
Not even 2 mins in and yall solved my step stool problem lol i love this! ❤️
Oh very cool! We were having an issue too and by far that is one of our best upgrades to date! Happy Travels!
@@wanderingoutyonder yeah when it folded up into one single step stool I was like all in on that! Thank you so much for sharing your van with us-i love that its so organized and everything just makes sense. ❤️
@@Norwood12 So glad to hear that it is proving helpful to you!
Just fabulous! I may never be full time but this would work for a part time no-build van. I love your organization and how clean and neat you keep it. I want a van now.
Hahaha - that is great to hear! We hope it happens for you and you can get on the road soon! Happy Travels!
This is BEST no build I’ve ever seen!! And best organization ever!!!
Thank you so much! We hope that you found some useful tips in the video!
Honestly THE BEST most creative and comfortable setup I've ever seen! Ive been considering this van for the same reasons you posted. The lockers are a great idea!
Thank You!!! It has worked fantastic for us! Easy, everything you need and everything has a home, so no clutter. Thanks again!!
"Making the most of what you have" should be your slogan...Your creativity and organizational skills have served you well. THANK YOU for sharing.
You are so welcome! We love that concept!
Great video. Thanks ladies.
Thank you so much for watching!
Ladies, you did a marvelous job with your home on wheels!! Incredibly smart ideas… too many to name! Wow!
Thank you so much! We hope you found a few helpful ideas!
Wonderfully organized! I can't wait to employ some of you gals ideas! Inspirational!
So glad to hear that you found some helpful information!
Awesome! We love to hear that people are getting out and about and enjoying adventures!
I love all your stickers. I'm a sticker aficionado. Your build is so neat and organized. Love it!
Glad you like them! Those are actually magnets from all of our van adventures!
This is SO useful! You two packed a lot of intelligent design into this van. Thank you so much for sharing your work. I especially appreciate the many detailed descriptions of what you did and how you did it.
Glad it was helpful! That makes our day to hear that it may have given you a few ideas!
Amazing ❤ You gals rock, this is one of the best no builds I've seen and your organization is out of this world!!
Wow, thank you! We hope you found some helpful information!
The best van video I've seen so for. So neat and organized. I love it. Thanks for sharing? Looks good.
Wow, thank you! We hope you found some helpful information!
Great set up! Really thoughtfully and love that it is utilitarian and still aesthetic.
Thanks so much!
We are so glad to have you joining us! We hope you find some useful information for your travels!!
I Love this video, so clean and in order, a place for everything. Exactly how I imagined my rig to be. Thanks for all the ideas!!!

❤ kia ora from New Zealand. What an awesome no build. Me being a tidy kiwi, a place for everything and everything in its place. 💖💯🤗🇳🇿

I appreciate the design simplicity and the many practical applications!
Glad you like it! We hope you found something helpful! Thanks for watching!
Very nice setup and organized 😊❤️Safe travels 😊❤️
Thanks for watching~!
The is probably the most creative and amazing use of storage space in a no build van I have ever seen. The use of magnets, magnetic bins, etc. with the existing exposed metal is so well thought out. The lockers, that is cool! Subscribed.
Oh we are so glad to hear that you found something helpful! Thank you for watching and we appreciate you joining us!
Well done!
Thanks so much! We hope you found something helpful!
Amazing setup. My favorite so far
We are so glad to hear that you found something helpful!
I am in awe of the layout and organization of your van. Well planned, thought out, and efficient. So "Magnetic!" 🙂
On my next road trip, I am going to get one of those laundry bags, some of those dampered bags, small magnets to hang stuff to dry, and a small magnetic light.
Love your van and all of the magnetic organizational items. It looks so neat and clean!!
Thanks so much! 😊 We are so happy with the layout and our approach! We appreciate you watching!
Best vid I have seen. You have done a great job giving a complete, no rabbit trails,to the point, intelligent with great flow and well made video. This has really encoraged me to work on a no build.Thank you so much!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
So glad to hear that! We LOVE this layout - not much has changed at all! It has served us well! Thanks for watching!
I love the attitude! I did try to keep things simple with my Transit build as well, but you've gone way further!
Thank you! Simple is best for us - and we wanted to get on the road as quickly as possible! Thanks for watching!
Love it! Thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks for watching!
Awww - well thank you! We hope you found some helpful information that may benefit some future travels for you!
You ladies are BRILLIANT with the storage, layout and organization! Thank you for all the great tips and tricks and for showing us your awesome van. ❤
Thanks for watching!!!
I may be able to get a van after all. Thanks! Great ideas!
Go for it!
That's OK
I am now in love with magnets!
So glad to hear that you found some helpful things!
We felt that the insulation was not necessary for us - again -we do not live full time in the van - if we did - that may be something that we consider.
We DO have a video of the bed set up and will be covering it more in depth soon! Thanks for joining us.
Awesome set up!! Love it!! Thank you for sharing your home on wheels with everyone. :)
You are very welcome! We hope you found something useful!
Great job of utilizing the space, making it functional, and keeping it eye-pleasing! If it were mine, I'd put some insulation on the ceiling. The car industry uses what's called "shoddy." You could put it up by gluing magnets to it. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the suggestions! We always love to hear what others have in mind!
Happy travels!
Roof rack or metal Decking on top? Have a 2 inch space between rack + van....ALWAYS park in the Shade !!
Simply the best ever build I have seen great thought has been put into your living space.
Thank you so much! We hope you found some useful ideas! Happy Travels!
Love it! I need to figure out solar and inverters etc. You ladies are rockin it
Thank you! We are still learning but are loving sharing our trails and errors along the way!
I absolutely love this! So organized and versatile. I'm like y'all, a place for everything and everything in it's place. I heard magnets attract Aliens! lol.
Thanks so much! 😊
We better be watching out for aliens then because we LOVE our magnetic options!
I love your mix of practical and just-for-fun decor!
Thank you! We love our set up!
Excellent video. Your Mali is stunning. They love to work as you know so carrying something, anything, gives them such purpose. It’s so good to see you back in the road. 💜🐾
Thanks for watching!
Love your set up ladies‼️🙌🏼
I utilize the puppy pads as well (they also come in a charcoal color👏🏼) HAPPY TRAVELS💜😎
Oh nice - we will have to check out those! The blue is functional - but sticks out - the charcoal color would match a bit better in the van! Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks didn't know...must be New?
love it. much better than some of these 'luxury' builds. Very practical and useful. Thanks for sharing.
Oh - so happy to hear that! Thank you! We appreciate your comments and wish you luck in your adventures!
@@wanderingoutyonder ditto!
I can’t get over how much stuff you have in this van! Great!!
Hi there! We hope you found the information helpful! Thank you for watching!
Wonderful and awesome job ladies, thank you for sharing this with us, I pray 🙏 to God to someday be a van lifer too, it's cheaper living and you're always home no matter where you are ❤❤️ y'all and I give y'all 5🌟's
Thank you so much! We hope your travel dreams are achievable! Thanks for watching!
Me too, even if your house is paid for, there is still taxes, insurance and utilities. Maintenance and cost of so many other things just add up. I think people are waking up, the American dream is not so dreamy being that mouse on that wheel to keep the lifestyle going.
I absolutely love your van!! Your no build is very unique & cost effective.
Thanks so much! We hope you found something helpful!
We did a video on JUST the lockers (install and then another on how we keep them quiet -lol)

You can use Plus Nuts to install items into the holes in the van. Its like using anchor mounts for screws but used in vans and pther metal applications.
We have heard of those! Thank you for the suggestions!
What a lovely video!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!

We use those DampRid bags in our beach condo. We hang them in every closet and in a few other places throughout the condo. They really help. And you can see exactly how much water you pull out of the air. It is amazing.
Oh agreed -we think that they are a MAJOR necessity in the van - especially with us going the NO BUILD route! Thanks for watching!
