I know this post has been around forever but for someone that has recently discovered DCS world and fell in love your key-maps has been a god send. Could you please do one for the AH-64 using x56 hotas. Mann that would be awesome. I know you have a collective and everything now but I’m balling on a budget. I have held off playing that module because I haven’t spent the time to map and f16 f14 and a10 have been time consuming. Haha. Love your videos btw. They have been my tutorials for everything.
Thanks for this...I recently bought an X-56 just for DCS. There are some FC3 aircraft I haven't even looked at yet because I hadn't found the time to set up the controls. No excuses now. Cheers. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that someone will post an X-56 profile for the AH-64D. ;)
I understand I'm late to the party here but I just wanna point out....pitch and roll for the Su-25T is currently bound to both throttle pitches and left/right thrust are bound to the joystick pitch and roll axes. If your goal has been to make me hate watch you play and do it better myself, you're accomplishing that.

The X56 configure gave me 2 columns one throttle (left) & one stick (right)automatically. Which worked with the download Grim Reapers Left HOTAS Right HOTAS files. BUT with TrackIR running; in configure the Throttle & stick swap over places? no idea why (with TrackIR new right hand column) So to load left & right files wont work. Would it not be better to name them Throttle HOTAS, & Stick HOTAS, rather than Left & Right.?
I just purchased DCS and the X-56 Hosta. My first and only plane purchase is the P51D Mustang (not the TF version that came with it), and I had started configured everything myself when I saw your video for Cap’s settings! I thought I’d try your Cap’s config link cause I liked what I saw! The left and right Hostas were confusing to me. I wasn’t sure if left was Throttle and right was Stick? Also I wasn’t sure if all my settings would get over-written automatically or if I have to delete all my settings first? Looking at the DCS controls for left and right aileron trims in your video, I believe left Hostas is throttle and right Hostas is Stick! I then assumed everything automatically gets re-written and I didn’t clear any of my control settings. Everything went Haywire! I went back and set the original “defaults” and will now start reprogramming what I originally had installed on my own. Don’t know what went wrong? Maybe you can steer me in the right direction?
Extremely useful IF you have the X56. I know at least one of the other GRs use the Thrustmaster Warhog HOTAS. Are they willing to share their setup files because configuring the HOTAS, Pedals and TrackIR for every single aircraft is a true PITA? I'm not sure what I screwed up, but my mouse can no longer be used to quickly scan around the inside of the cabin. What is the name of the function that allows me to use the mouse to look around the inside of the cabin? So I can remap it to the mouse...
I found that it happens because the controls are set to "All but Axis commands" - which doesn't include the commands for the HOTAS. In actuality, using the .lua files, doesn take effect and is being applied to the games controls.
@@Tomato_Jet EDIT: It's important to left click on any command line in order to check by pressing what command is binded to the button you pressed it takes effect, you just need to be in the "Axis commands" list, to see when it's working. take note that you can accidently place the throttle file to the stick settings, and vice-versa. for example - somehow my throttle controlled somehow both the "rolling" yaw and the throttle. so it's important to press the "clear all" *if needed*. so after applying each file to the stick or throttle - go to the "axis commands" list and check what took effect by using the stick or throttle, and if needed apply the file to the other stick or throttle. I hope I was understood. EDIT: It's important to left click on any command line in order to check by pressing what command is binded to the button you pressed
@@TorangaThanks for that tidbit of info! That’s what Grim Reaper was demonstrating at the end of the video. I didn’t pick up on that! I did not realize he was clearing a command to make sure it was being replaced on the correct HOTAS..throttle side or Joystick side. I took it that each assignment had to be cleared before the replacement commands would install. I’m new to all this DCS programming and in addition to that … a complete idiot! LOL!
THANK YOU !! so much Cap. Wish I would have came across this vid days ago. HOTAS should at least send you a new model controller. You have probably made them quite a few bucks just on the x-56 alone. You sold me on It bro. Just setting it up has been a pain because understanding and remembering all the abbreviation, Weapon's N systems and understanding there functions are and how they work are all new to me, and having to map them out is so difficult for someone new to dcs.

How to split the HOTAS into two different columns (Left & Right HOTAS) in DCS? .. My X52 Pro only show one column, and expect that doesn't differ that much from the X56 in config?

I have followed your vid for the A10-C and then for some reason if I increased the throttle or decreased it, the plane was also rolling left or right and the zoom knob was slowing the engine! LOL!!! I must have binded something to something else by mistake so guna use your files now! :) I want to join the Grim Reapers at some point when I have more practice in! I have a VIVE and now an x56 (tried to follow your A10 vid with a hotas X and ran out of buttons half way through!) lol! I am an Emergency services worker so as you can imagine in this current Covid world I am a bit busy! I cant wait to have more time to practice! give you a run for ya money in the Huey! ;)

Hey guys, my name is Russ from Daytona Beach Florida area. I am having trouble with my thrust master warthog stick throttle and rudder peddles. I have 58 hours of trying to get these devices working with DCS to no avail. I have watched every video and followed the instructions to what I think is the T. My pc I spared no expense and built a top of the line gaming computer with all the best components for flight simulation and DCS. I need help with sinking the flight controls to the aircraft. When I load all the flight controls to lets say the Wart Hog moving right down the list command by command being very careful to not overlook anything I still am missing something. When I go to fly the controls have jumped back to this glitch ware the rudder pedals are running the throttle and the throttle is running the rudders. I go I and make sure the commands are in without sharing but to no avail...Can you guys help me!!!!!????? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times and downloaded the drivers from trustmaster and nothing seems to do it I'm missing a step but I don't know what it is.... HELP!

Excellent video. I have this set and tried the a4 profiles but once importing the throttle profile only thing I can do is zoom. Nothing else responds especially throttle handles. Perhaps I need to manually set?
I have a Saitek X55... which is the same product... just from before Logitech bought them and changed the lights. Is it possible to make this work with it?
I have a question . The R.Alt and C buttons are removed everywhere, the mouse symbol is removed and the pilot's head moves with the mouse jerk. I changed this button and after that it didn't work anymore. I had to set the whole setting to the default mode, but it doesn't work again!!! pls help XDDD

Does anyone know where to get the 64bit drivers for the X56 HOTAS? I'm win 7 & when I ran the 32bit download it says I must have the 64bit & I cant find one in the Logitech downloads, any advice please?
Thanks for this Cap. Never knew you could load profiles INDIVIDUALLY for each Hotas device & keyboard. I assumed it was just one file with it ALL in, or at least that is what seems to happen for my Warthog Stick/Throttle/Rudder/Keyboard setup. I only ever load the ONE profile and it brings in everything, All modules, all devices. Never actually understood how the mapping works anyway, since I find EVEN when the Open Beta and Release versions are fully in line I cannot copy my Open Beta profile lua files into the Release version. If I do I just get garbage. I have to set up the profiles individually for each version. Maybe trying distinct profile for each HOTAS device will solve the problem ! Experimentation time .

First want to say thank you but I also want to ask the comment section after you import these to the game do I just plug in my rudder pedals and they work or does that need a programed file or bind as well? Cap, By left do you mean throttle? or are you using a 2 stick setup? I figured that you meant throttle but just making sure because a lot of people are using 2 sticks instead of a true HOTAS.
Not sure if you read these or not as it's been a long time since you made this video. I recently purchased the X56 HOTAS and run windows 11... Do I need some sort of driver or an installation for this? They say there is no update for windows 11 at this point but also doesn't direct me to install using windows 10...

I ordered this hotas after I saw this video. First want to say thank you but I also want to ask the comment section after you import these to the game do I just plug in my rudder pedals and they work or does that need a programed file or bind as well? Brand new to DCS/ flight sims and just looking for some help thanks in advanced

Does anyone have a x-56 key map for the f-35? No matter what i try, it reverts back to the left hotas as roll and pitch as well yaw etc.
I'm having trouble trying to map all the switches on the x56. Mind you, I have zero experience with PC gaming but I would love to fly and learn with you guys.

Cap, By left do you mean throttle? or are you using a 2 stick setup? I figured that you meant throttle but just making sure because a lot of people are using 2 sticks instead of a true HOTAS.

Seems to be something wrong with the CAP'S X-56 HOTAS MAPS for the A10C real left, the throttle settings are duplicating the J'Stk left & right pitch?

Not sure if you read these or not as it's been a long time since you made this video. I recently purchased the X56 HOTAS and run windows 11... Do I need some sort of driver or an installation for this? They say there is no update for windows 11 at this point but also doesn't direct me to install using windows 10...

Way cool and thanks big time! I know it must be something simple but for the life of me I cannot get to the page where your hotas maps are. I watch the video but the list of links with maps at the bottom of the list elude me. I've spent a day and a half trying to get to that link and being new to DCS I don't want to bug folks unnecessarily. Don't know what else to do. Can you help? Thank You!
