River's literally said in an interview after Pinkerton flopped, he would never write another song based on emotions again, he will sell records making music people think they want to hear instead. He actually has stuck to his word to and people still buy them.

Honestly, they'd get pretty boring if they just made the same type of music on every single album. I liked Green. Hell, the only album of theirs I can seriously say I disliked was Raditude.
People saying this sounds better than the album version have really lost the plot. Not criticizing, just pointing out that it was filmed on a potato in 1992 the potato was probably made in the 80s, not to mention the quality of engineering and equipment at this 'venue'. I can't even tell if the acoustic riff is just way more basic in this version or if the camera audio didn't pick up all the notes being played.
I also love how you can see the crowd get progressively more into it as the song goes on. I wish people would still pit at weezer shows
