Thanks very much. "In races people seem to go for a standard jibe or Heineken jibe. The standard jibe is good for a slower, sharper, low-radius turn where you don't want to loose ground downwind and Heineken is good for keeping more speed and doing wider-radius jibe where you travel further downwind mid jibe."
Probably not a race/temp backwind jibe, because the wing is much less efficient while backwinded. It's hard to get much power from the wing while backwinded. I've got pretty good at getting the most from a backwinded wing and it took a long time to learn. So I would simply try a normal jibe in very light wind. Plus try to build extra speed before (pump if needed), plus do a sharper turn (so you spend less time heading downwind without apparent wind). So normal jibe, plus pump before, and turn a little sharper.

Best instructional videos available. Thanks!
You're welcome, cheers, Alex.
Love your tutorials, it's so well explained, helped me a lot with many manouvers.
I'm really enjoy viewing your videos! Thank you for sharing!
Wonderful explanation. Thanks! Like your usual pit falls debrief a lot!
Great tutorial! If that is not the best jibe to maintain power throughout, which one is?

@@kitesurfcollege Thanks for the info! Interesting stuff
@@kitesurfcollege with a large wing in super light wind the race jibe might still be the best to not stall the foil mid-jibe. What do you think?
What is the best jibe for lightwind? I have heard some mention this racing jibe as you get some power with the backwinding sooner than other jibes.

The best instruction video’s on the web. What is the location ?
Hi and thanks very much. This was shot at the Breede river mouth in South Africa. All the best, Alex
what's the fastest manuver to gybe then? Heineken?

@@kitesurfcollege yes that resonates with my experience. thanks!
Switching stance to heel side before jibe is the fastest as you can accelerate on exit
Backwind jibe starts from the backwind position. This is not it. This is either Race or laydown jibe.
