TULUM, MEXICO | Mayan Ruins & Street Tacos (Visiting Tulum from a Cruise Ship - Cozumel Port)

- For our first port day, our ship docked in Cozumel! We were more interested in visiting Tulum, so we caught a ferry to the mainland (terrible for those that get seasickness!) From Playa del Carmen, we hired a taxi driver for the day to drive us to all of our destinations. Make sure to subscribe if you're interested in how we planned all of our own excursions from the cruise ship!
We really wanted to visit the Mayan ruins in Tulum, so we made that our first stop. It was SO windy! I would recommend hiring a guide or joining a tour to really learn the history, but we were short of time. After spending the morning in the ruin site, we were craving some Mexican tacos. We asked our driver to take us where he would recommend, and he did not disappoint! We spend the afternoon filling up on authentic tacos, gorditas, and costras.

Yes! But we did it w/ a taxi driver and it may be cheaper? And not as rushed!
