It feels as if I'm walking home from my New York office building, and strolling through central park. I arrive at my apartment and just got in the door. The fireplace is on. I put on comfy cloths and walk over to the kitchen for a cup of coffee. Then I come sit down on the modern couch and look out into Manhattan and see all the cars and people down on the street. The sun is setting and guests are coming. I set the table and lay dinner out. All of a sudden I hear a knock and I let in my company. I greet them and we have dinner. After a relaxing night, I walk into my bedroom, and stare into New York's endless skyscrapers. I think whats in store for me the next day as I slowly drift into a deep sleep. Reality: I am sitting on a laptop procrastinating from doing math homework I don't wanna do, and looking on to a street, with a house right across the street. I hope though one day to be in this fake story I made up. New York.

This here is a slightly modified Godot's theme from the absolutely FANTASTIC Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney video game series. I highly recommend anyone with a 3DS give it a try, the first 3 games are on the eShop in a package deal for only $30.
Godot was the second character in Ace Attorney whose name I ever learned (apart from Phoenix), thanks to this song. I didn't play the games before I heard of this song (from something mentioning the age-old pairing of this song with RainyMood and a crackling fire). I couldn't remember the name of the song, but I remembered Godot's name. His theme is still one of my all-time favourite video game themes. His first case in the game just had some of the best music the franchise has to offer (his theme, Ron's, and Atmey's).

I've learned, after many years of knowing Wright, that he is not a man with any form of skill, but rather dumb luck. Nonetheless, that is sometimes all one needs to succeed in a trial. As for the finer arts, including the art of playing an instrument, I believe it to be obvious as to why he dropped out of art school and why he does not, for everybody's sake, play the violin.

Probably because either no studios want to pick it up because it doesn't sell terribly well, or because it's just so hard to write a story that would hold up to the standards of the game. Also, Ace Attorney games don't tend to sell very well outside of Japan.
yoneda123 There are actually quite a few animes made in the U.S., emulating the style simply through desire to do so. Most of them are independent writers and artists, such as Mark Crilley (who has an excellent channel on youtube, if you're interested). Most of the graphic novels in the U.S. are called "comics" though, and are really quite popular. You might be Wright about Capcom not wanting another company to cash in on Ace attorney, but that is not to say they won't make one. Just look at Professor Layton, which did get a movie in Japan, Europe, Australia, and North America.

Anyway, there could be an anime, it's just a matter of finding the right director, the right studio, the right actors, the right artists, the right writer for Wright (couldn't help myself there), the right deal, and the right audience so that it stands a chance of being commercially viable. Right now, it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Why...why oh why is there not an anime of Ace Attorney yet? Movies, plays, and Manga, but no anime?
Probably because either no studios want to pick it up because it doesn't sell terribly well, or because it's just so hard to write a story that would hold up to the standards of the game.
Also, Ace Attorney games don't tend to sell very well outside of Japan.

yoneda123 There are actually quite a few animes made in the U.S., emulating the style simply through desire to do so. Most of them are independent writers and artists, such as Mark Crilley (who has an excellent channel on youtube, if you're interested). Most of the graphic novels in the U.S. are called "comics" though, and are really quite popular. You might be Wright about Capcom not wanting another company to cash in on Ace attorney, but that is not to say they won't make one. Just look at Professor Layton, which did get a movie in Japan, Europe, Australia, and North America.
yoneda123 They are both made in Japan, and both were commissioned to be localized for foreign audiences.
Anyway, there could be an anime, it's just a matter of finding the right director, the right studio, the right actors, the right artists, the right writer for Wright (couldn't help myself there), the right deal, and the right audience so that it stands a chance of being commercially viable. Right now, it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
