    Hi Babes!
    Girl, this was definitely a vulnerable moment for me to share with you. 🫶🏽
    What do you think are some challenges you have overcome during nursing school or during your nursing career?💡
    I want to hear about your journey thus far! 💕
    Love you babes, see you in the next one! 🤭

    Don’t be sorry for sharing your experience….cry all you want…. You are an inspiration to me and so many other nurses….im a new nurse and the stress is crazyyyyyy! And the work environment is negative and catty/ gossiping/ no help when asked…I had to leave and looking for an outpatient infusion job…God is the center of my life and I thank you for the prayer you do…continue to keep god in everything you do and something special for your husband because he is understanding and pushed you to let go of the toxic work environment with love and support…will continue to watch your videos it is needed…

      🥹🥹🥹 Oh my gosh, thank you for your kind and thoughtful encouragement! This was definitely a vulnerable video for me but I knew it was needed for others like you to feel safe in wanting something different and outside of bedside nursing.
      God has a plan for us all and those early nursing years were meant to help build me but now that my life has changed into marriage and kids one day, God opened another door for me to walk through once he felt I was ready. 🙏🏽💕
      Thank you so much for watching my video, it means the world! Building a community of nurses is so important to me, and you are never alone regardless of how you may feel in those dark times. There is no amount of darkness that God isn’t able to find light in. 🥰🤗 I pray that you’re able to find the right fit for an outpatient opportunity! 🫶🏽

    Bedside nursing wasn’t for me. It was so toxic and took a toll on my mental health I found out that outpatient was for me and now I am happy . I’m a remote case management nurse but I would love to do infusion nurse .

      Hi Darnelle! I’m so happy to hear that you have found the best fit for you! ☺️ It truly is a blessing to be outpatient and out of that toxic bedside environment. I didn’t realize how much it was taking a toll on me until my husband pointed it out honestly. Yes, look into infusion nursing if you ever want to do a PRN or something! 😊

      Thank you so much, I appreciate it! 🥹💕 It’s definitely a vulnerable state to be in but if I can help just one person who may be going through the same thing and feel they have nobody to turn to, I pray that they know they aren’t alone. 💗

    I want to do infusion nursing but first I need to get more experience with ivs. Trying to go back to the hospital to get more experience.

      Okay, super exciting! Yes I would get at least 2 years of IV experience before doing infusion nursing because the patients sometimes don’t have the best veins.
      I found my job on indeed! I typed in infusion nurse to find different openings near me! ☺️ Hopefully that helps!

    Hi, I'm actually about to graduate nursing school, and want to go to ER first, but I'm really interested in IV infusion. I'm planning on doing ER for one or 2 years, and start doing IV infusion or possibly fertility nursing. Hoping it works out! I wish hospitals cared about nurses, because I didn't want to stay for that short, but I already don't have the best back lmao so I don't even want to waste my body on a system that doesn't care about me. And not sure if you mentioned this, but is the pay better?

      Heyy girlie! Thank you for commenting and watching!! 🫶🏽💕 GIRL SAVE your back, the hospital foundation isn’t going to change, it’s too far gone. Use the hospital to your advantage for the skill growth and then leave.
      Yes, so as an infusion nurse I make $50/hr. But I also am married, but even in the hospital, my base rate working as a staff nurse was like $35 at the most not including the night shift diff. But it’s honestly about the same with shift diff that I was making as a staff nurse. I was making $65/hr as a PRN float nurse in the ED before I left to do infusion nursing.
      But truthfully, it wasn’t about the money for me because I have my husband for that financial support, really he just wanted me to mentally be okay. And the hospital was deteriorating me drastically. So something had to change. ☺️

      @@iamnursechelsea awww I’m glad you met someone that cares about your well being! Hoping I can meet someone like that one day 🤞🏾 lol. And that’s honestly really good. I live in Florida and pay is truly trash here. Hospitals here pay between 30-34. And for the work I see nurses do needs to be more!

    • @iamnursechelsea
      @iamnursechelsea  4 місяці тому +1

      Thank you so much! And you will, I assure you!💕 Yes I hear Florida and how they pay their nurses is trash, which would probably encourage you even more to leave the hospital sooner. I would look into the infusion nurse jobs on indeed (that’s how I found mine) and just see what their requirements regarding experience are. It wouldn’t hurt to apply to a few! ☺️ I hope you’re able to find a good fit, but in the meantime definitely get at least a year experience doing IVs and working in the hospital. It’s a great foundation to start with and use to your advantage! Let me know if you have any more questions and if I can help in any way! 🥰

      @@iamnursechelsea You’re very welcome! I can resonate with everything you said. I’ve been a Nurse for 7 years with 6 of them being in Med Surg. This past year I’ve been in L&D and it’s terrible and soul sucking. From the gossiping… to the police and not to mention the toxic environment. I’m so over the bedside and have been looking to apply elsewhere. I have been going through physically in my body and not to mention my mental health is in shambles. This video gave me so much hope. I truly appreciate you for sharing your journey! 🤎

      First off, thank you for being the first one to share your story! 🥹💗
      We have been nurses for just about the same amount of time, so you remember how it was before Covid and now after too!
      Listen, trust me I totally understand. The politics, cliques, gossiping, bullying.. its endless. And it won’t stop either. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I encourage you to find a different area of nursing as soon as you can! Do you have any areas you’re interested in at all? Medical spa, infusion nursing, IVF nursing (which is a new one that I’ve heard of), allergy nurse?

    • @iamnursechelsea
      @iamnursechelsea  4 місяці тому

      Definitely look on indeed and search “infusion nurse” or even medical spa nurse because some med spas do Vitamin Infusions and you can gain more experience that way, in case you don’t want to go back to the hospital! 😄
