There is a no shine cream you can use on your head to eliminate the shine from sun. Its also a sun screen for when you're out as well. When you rub it in you just honestly stop all shine and its matte. Super cool stuff to use to protect against sunburns etc
I use L'Oreal Men Expert Pure & Matte, but for whatever reason it's jumped in price by around 6 times. So sometimes I buy +Rehab London Back to Matte, which is a lot cheaper, but slightly more oily. No problem mate, I'm just glad it's helped people decide if it's for them or not. It's very difficult when all you can see are mostly videos from the actual companies rather than independent reviews.
Its ok for people to make jokes and embarrass Men who are bald but nobody would never say it to a woman whos losing her hair. I think going bald destroys a lot men and women's lives. I think its an underrated issue. I think it can definitely lead to mental health problems like depression etc. A lot of men will say it doesn't bother them when in reality it bothers them a lot.
I agree, it came during quite a difficult time around 2014 when I was actually suffering from depression at my worst. Thankfully I manage this to a reasonable level these days, but it's still up and down and the hair thing just contributed in a bad way at the time.
Wrong, not everyone thinks like you, who only care about "LOOKS" and fashion, many of us enjoy being bald, never hide our heads with hats, caps or ridiculous hairpieces
I don't think sHoRt FuZe was saying "everyone". Luckily (or not?) I had a major health issue that hit me in 2019. Since then nothing compares, so i now dont worry about anythjng as nothing compares to the health condition i developed.
Nice result! It's crazy the amount of times we hear people say exactly what you said that they can't quite put their finger on what has changed about you. One thing I found was that people didn't (and still dont) know that I've had the treatment unless i tell them, but the hair loss jokes stopped immediately. Since having the treatment, not one person has commented to say I'm balding!
Yeah nobody really makes any comments like that now because they assume I've shaved it all off just by choice and not because of thinning areas. It's really strange how you appear to take control of the situation again after having the treatment. If I had the time and wasn't spending all my money on recording studio equipment I'd consider training to do it for others cos I imagine it's nice to see people happy with their transformation.
As a bald woman (alopecia universalis) I'd considered this to give me the effect of a buzz cut but was put off by someone saying they knew a guy who had it and his had started to merge into one large tattoo. Yours has made me start to reconsider. Thanks

Hi Matt, massive thank you for putting yourself out there really helped me. Can I just ask about how it looks in different lighting. Read stories about smp disappearing in bright sunlight 😮
It certainly looks it's best in ambient lighting. I'd say it looks it's worst under really bright indoor spotlights, but even then it just creates a shine on your head as it would if someone who can grow hair shaved it this short. I don't see it as an issue, despite being a little conscious of this when I first had it done. I do some shows without a hat on under stage lights and it's not really been a problem 😊
Thanks for sharing this. I’m on the verge of pulling the trigger on SMP. All the details of SMP are hard to work through - figuring out who does a good job and what I should expect down the road Is a big part of my resistance. As a forty year old man I’m thrilled to hear that you’re happy! Where did you go and what did you ask for? A faded SMP ?
Hi Selim, I went to Jo Taylor from Follicle Illusion (who is now based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire). When you go, you will have a colour match to the existing hair that grows and you make a joint decision with your artist of what will be best suited 😊
I would say when you look at it yourself in a mirror extremely close up that you can see a difference but that's because I'm looking for it. I'd say to 90% of people it's undetectable, but to the ones who work with hair, skin or ink I'm sure they might notice if very close up in certain lights.
Ive been going back and forth with a local SMP artist in my area over the Past 2yrs, debating on having the Procedure done. He said he will give me his discount rate of $2000 for 2 sessions with a follow up. I THINK IM GOING TO GO FOR IT WITHIN THE NEXT MONTH.
All I can advise is focus on the artist's work over the price. Their work is everything as that's what you'll be walking around with every day 😊 Hope you achieve the results you're looking for 🙌
Hi, I had it done at Follicle Illusion by a lady called Jo. She's based in Wakefield. I have another video from when I went to her previous premises in Castleford here > ua-cam.com/video/D7HX9Btn3j4/v-deo.htmlsi=e2IhM0dFSeeO7jy2
Hi, I had it done with Jo at Follicle Illusion. Which was in Castleford at the time but she's now moved to Wakefield. I made a video on that experience - ua-cam.com/video/D7HX9Btn3j4/v-deo.htmlsi=KEE9HJ4kTESyjc04
Hi, I'd say the same as other areas of your body. I found the crown area strangely relaxing, I was falling asleep. But the temples were a little stingy! 🙂
Yours looks really natural, most of the ones I've seen are too blatant because of the contrast between the pigment and skin being too dark. Plus the hairlines looks to solid, a bit like a Lego head. How long did it take to go from the initial treatment where it was dark until it got to the current stage?
Yeah it's important to go for an artist who staggers the hairline like real hair would grow. Mine was reasonably dark for the first couple of months then settled down and now I'm really pleased with how it blends in 🙂
Depending on the lighting it does look really dark. In more ambient lighting on an evening or in bars etc it looks very dark. When I'm out in the sun or under bright strip lights it appears lighter.
@@MattBlackUK looks great. I in my 50s and am used to the shaved look. I love it but I’ve started getting “lines “ and am thinking about getting them more camouflaged
I have these kind of conversations with myself because I am not as ballsy as this du to speak out of the curse of all men. Good luck, bruv. Good luck for all of us
Thank you 🙏 I wasn't always comfortable speaking out about this, but then I realised it would be helpful to others if I did, as I know the worry and stress it can cause.
It's more down to the individual artist who is doing it. Try to find examples of good work and request the specific SMP artist rather than just anyone from the company 🙂👍
Hi, I'm glad the video was helpful. I was very nervous before my first session too. If you check my video description there are links to the shaver I use on my head and the beard trimmer I use too. If you get chance to watch my original video when I was having it done in 2021 I show them in the video and again there's links in the description ☺️
@@MattBlackUK thanks for the quick response Matt. Luckily I've already got the Remington so pleased to hear that's what you use to get your results. Once again, thanks for sharing your experience, it's reassuring to see real examples and honest opinions.
Yes I found it difficult to make decisions with confidence when all I could find were videos of people giving their opinion but it was edited and uploaded by the SMP companies. Hopefully this has helped people make up their minds either way ☺️
The pigment is matched to whatever colour your hair is when it's shaved. My hair is black, but when I close shave my head it's more of a charcoal colouring like most people. You could let the hair grow out longer and have the pigment darker but that isn't to my own personal taste as I feel like you can see the separation between the SMP and your actual hair, which doesn't blend as well.
You can use both. For immediate perfection and blending, I use clippers. If I'm feeling lazy I can get two/three days of it looking good with blades but the first couple of hours looks a little unmatched due to such a short cut, but if I do all that before I plan to go out that morning, or do it the night before, it's not an issue. It depends on your own personal hair growth speed etc 😊
When did you notice it start to fade to match your native color? I had mine done 2 weeks ago and it’s slightly darker than my native hair hoping it will fade a bit more.
im getting SMP next month. already scheduled and made downpayment. i gotta say, I am extremely nervous about it. in my circles, tattoos are very taboo so I am really scared of people finding out about what it is. idk, did you have any close friends notice that you had SMP?
Hi, I was very open about mine once it was done, but alot of people I'd met for the first time didn't appear to notice. Just make sure you've got a good artist with an impressive portfolio ☺️
Hi everyone, thank you for watching my SMP update videos, I hope they're helpful. I have just posted a 2 year update >> ua-cam.com/video/vCF4aXTuO2U/v-deo.html

The same as before to be honest, factor 50 on my head but I will wear hats if it's getting too hot. I would say the top of the head will always look a little shinier with suncream on but no big deal 🙂
It stings a little in the temple. I found the needle in the crown area strangely enjoyable. But everyone has a different pain barrier. It isn't my first time, I've had regular tattoos around my body for around 19 years.
Smp still going strong bro? I just had an offer from an amazing company to get the procedure done for free so I'm just reaching out to see how yours has been lasting. Recently put a video out on it on my channel if you want to see it. Looking great!
Hi, yes still going strong and settled to look more natural, as any kind of ink/tattoo is really dark on the skin at first. Make sure you check out plenty of examples of the specific artist doing your work. Hope you get great results ☺️👍
I would say, to the trained eye in bright light and close up, it's obvious. But to the untrained eye not as obvious. And in normal room lighting and ambient light absolutely nobody can tell 😊
Yes it seems to be our way of taking control of the situation to get it out of the way. I hope it goes well, I look forward to hearing of your results 🙂
I wash my hair thrice a week.i used minoxidil every night before going to sleep and also used hair oil twice a week ..plus i sweat a lot. Now tell me am i a suitable candidate for SMP ? Please reply
Anyone can have SMP.. if you have slightly thinning hair on top, some people use it to fill it out a little. If you have a shaved head, you can use it to frame your face. If your hair is very patchy it won't look right as you need to maintain a shaved head / light stubble.
I'm not too worried, the ink fades over time and requires a top up every so often so the SMP artist just matches the pigment to your current hair colour. Failing that I'll have to dig out the Just For Men 😆
@@MattBlackUK I just looked it up, Matt. A solution for the white beard is to go for a SMP stubble beard look, which will match your shaved head look. I wonder if some men are willing to go this far.
That sounds like the behaviour of a stalker - However, not a very good one as I wear a hat around 50% of the time. In winter because it's cold, and sometimes in the hot sun so I don't burn my head (quite normal and sensible). I also was an owner of numerous hats long before I lost my hair or it showed any signs of thinning. But thanks for your comment, and erroneous observation of my daily activities 😂

Hi Selim, I went to Jo Taylor from Follicle Illusion (who is now based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire). When you go, you will have a colour match to the existing hair that grows and you make a joint decision with your artist of what will be best suited 😊
It looks really nice brother thanks for sharing video 👍
Thank you 🙏 I will be posting my top-up video in around a week's time 😊👍
Lookin' great man, thinking about doing it
Thank you 😊🙏 As long as you do your research, you'll be pleased with your decision. Best of you to you mate 🤞
Thank u
Hope the video was helpful 🙂
Yours looks great!
Thank you 🙏
Man i need to get this shit done… Jo Taylors place is only 35 mins from my house.
Definitely worth having a consultation to help decide if it's for you :)
What do you think was the giveaway when the two people noticed it? You said both were extremely close. Was it the dot size? Darkness?
I would say when you look at it yourself in a mirror extremely close up that you can see a difference but that's because I'm looking for it. I'd say to 90% of people it's undetectable, but to the ones who work with hair, skin or ink I'm sure they might notice if very close up in certain lights.
Thanks for the vid! 😊
No problem. Hopefully it was helpful 🙂🙏
Their work is everything as that's what you'll be walking around with every day 😊 Hope you achieve the results you're looking for 🙌
Hey bro I would like to know where you did the procedure? I mean the amp company?
Hi, I had it done at Follicle Illusion by a lady called Jo. She's based in Wakefield. I have another video from when I went to her previous premises in Castleford here > ua-cam.com/video/D7HX9Btn3j4/v-deo.htmlsi=e2IhM0dFSeeO7jy2
Hi mate, I think it looks great. Can I ask where you had yours done?
Cheers
Hi, I had it done with Jo at Follicle Illusion. Which was in Castleford at the time but she's now moved to Wakefield. I made a video on that experience - ua-cam.com/video/D7HX9Btn3j4/v-deo.htmlsi=KEE9HJ4kTESyjc04
@@MattBlackUK Great, thanks.✌🏾
I'm considering getting it done this weekend. How was the pain level for you? I have a forearm sleeve and used to pain. Your smp looks amazing bro
Mine was reasonably dark for the first couple of months then settled down and now I'm really pleased with how it blends in 🙂
I wonder if you could get away with it slightly darker
Depending on the lighting it does look really dark. In more ambient lighting on an evening or in bars etc it looks very dark. When I'm out in the sun or under bright strip lights it appears lighter.
@@MattBlackUK looks great. I in my 50s and am used to the shaved look. I love it but I’ve started getting “lines “ and am thinking about getting them more camouflaged
I have these kind of conversations with myself because I am not as ballsy as this du to speak out of the curse of all men. Good luck, bruv. Good luck for all of us
Thank you 🙏
I wasn't always comfortable speaking out about this, but then I realised it would be helpful to others if I did, as I know the worry and stress it can cause.
Background music?
Go to UA-cam studio when you are logged in as a Creater and there are many royalty free tracks you can download ☺️
Is it a big difference on the results where u do it? Cuz i live in sweden and im not very happy with the clinics here
It's more down to the individual artist who is doing it. Try to find examples of good work and request the specific SMP artist rather than just anyone from the company 🙂👍
Come to the UK and have it done with me. You will be very happy with the results, and it's not too far 😉
Thanks for sharing the video. Helped me to commit to doing it after being very nervous. What shaver do you use on your head?
Hopefully this has helped people make up their minds either way ☺️
Just a question why can’t they make it a bit darker like 1/2 mm rather than 0 cut
Looks great mate , can you wet shave it or do you use clippers ?
You can use both. For immediate perfection and blending, I use clippers. If I'm feeling lazy I can get two/three days of it looking good with blades but the first couple of hours looks a little unmatched due to such a short cut, but if I do all that before I plan to go out that morning, or do it the night before, it's not an issue. It depends on your own personal hair growth speed etc 😊
When did you notice it start to fade to match your native color? I had mine done 2 weeks ago and it’s slightly darker than my native hair hoping it will fade a bit more.
I would say around 3 months down the line it started to really blend nicely ☺️
im getting SMP next month. already scheduled and made downpayment. i gotta say, I am extremely nervous about it. in my circles, tattoos are very taboo so I am really scared of people finding out about what it is. idk, did you have any close friends notice that you had SMP?
Hi, I was very open about mine once it was done, but alot of people I'd met for the first time didn't appear to notice. Just make sure you've got a good artist with an impressive portfolio ☺️
What’s up with the spooky background music?
I added accompanying music to suit my mood at the time.
Hi everyone, thank you for watching my SMP update videos, I hope they're helpful. I have just posted a 2 year update >> ua-cam.com/video/vCF4aXTuO2U/v-deo.html
Hi! Is it would be enough to cut hair using shaver? Will it look ok, or you have to shave with blades it every time?
Shaver blends nicer, razor just lasts longer between shaves but it doesn't blend as nice for the first few hours until you get abit of stubble growth.
Hi do you still like your SMP? Has changed any overtime???
Hi, yes I'm very pleased with it and will be having a top up in the near future. I recently posted a 2 year update video and will be filming my top up experience too ☺️👍

How do you manage in the sun? Do you just wear hats and sun creams? How does it affect getting a tan?
The same as before to be honest, factor 50 on my head but I will wear hats if it's getting too hot. I would say the top of the head will always look a little shinier with suncream on but no big deal 🙂
Zero Shine SPF 50 can help in the sun. ...does for me.
did it hurt, is this the first time you got a tattoo?
On a scale of 1 to 10 how obvious is it to people when someone get’s an SMP? PS thanks for the video update & sharing your insight
I would say, to the trained eye in bright light and close up, it's obvious. But to the untrained eye not as obvious. And in normal room lighting and ambient light absolutely nobody can tell 😊
@@MattBlackUK good lad! Have a look at Van Barneveld’s (famous darts player’s) SMP & tell me what you think. Looks quite bad imo
Dudes got a hot wife
Hi all, I've now uploaded my first Top up experience video 😊

I just got an SMP bro
I hope it went well 🙂🙏
I do the same thing making the jokes before people can. My SMP is coming up on Oct 8 2022
Yes it seems to be our way of taking control of the situation to get it out of the way. I hope it goes well, I look forward to hearing of your results 🙂
@@MattBlackUK Thanks I will try to report back =D
@@NewYears1978 how did it go?
music too loud. please consider that for next video.
You look so young like you’re in late 20s!
I'm nearly 37 but thank you 🙏
I wash my hair thrice a week.i used minoxidil every night before going to sleep and also used hair oil twice a week ..plus i sweat a lot.
The next bummer is when the beard grows white.
Before you get SMP, please know this guy still wears a hat everywhere he goes.
So because a guy wears a hat after Smp, it means what exactly?? When people get tattoos all over their bodies, why do they STILL wear clothes???
