and I love that you said different colors for nudes for different skin tones thanks
Yes you can;) The crayon are your pigment/wax combo so you can add all types of color form to make your colors. I used orange and white oil pastel crayons today mixed with pink blush and concealer for a semi-matte creme finish nude shade that is similar to my favorite Nars shade in belle de jour:)
I put the mixture into the empty lipstick tube and had hard time to twist the lipstick bullet up the last time I tried to made a lipstick, just wonder if you got the same problem, Lisa? Many thanks :-)
This beyond beyond amazing!! I love how you've applied your pharmacy knowledge onto make-up. You so can start your own make-up line :D
That wasn't a crayon those were oil pastels😂😂LOL!
I KNOW😂
I SEE YOU AGAIN JAMILA
iKONICS FOREVER OMFG! LMAOOO! *ROFL*
Omds ARMY ✌🏻️ we legit are everywhere 😂😂😂

Aww that is so sweet of you to say:) I am so honored.... one day will make my dreams come true because of you and everyone on here that let me be creative.
I did the crayon one... It's more of a stain than a lipstick, but still good
Use more pieces of crayon. Hers was very pigmented. She mentioned options to make it opaque.
Was it at all moisturizing because did it (I eyeballed the olive oil) and it turned out perfect
I made different finishes from matte and glaze too. This is just a basic tutorial so it's up to you to expand my recipe like you did. I use them as a base for blush and my eyes =)
Can u do the same vid but with some simpler ingredients I don't have most of these things

If u look closely on the mica packet it says not used in lip products
Omg ur right
Jacqueline Hope be careful kids
Eri Hussain she already mentioned to not use that
NisaLavigne93 but she still used it!!!!!
Eri hussain she use the mac pigment
Do you realize how PERFECT you and your diy videos are?!?!?!?
You are always so supportive! Thanks for everything Starbucks Queen!
I mentioned it in my haul video recently. I got it done at a salon. Thank you!
You can mix butters. Cocoa would be more solid than the rest because of the high melting point. Coconut oil is sensitive to heat so it will turn into a gloss in humid hot weather if used alone.
I love that you took the time to show how to create different types of lipstick by using different ingredients. I also love your recipe because they come out very vibrant :)
Yes, it's the same thing but in a capsules form. Just pierce the capsule for a drop or to in your batch.
just finished the crayon lipstick- it was so quick to make and I could not be happier with the result! its gorgeous and unbelievably easy and cheap!!!!! thank you SO SO much I will do this forever :) it saves so much money especially for like halloween where you would want like a green lipstick for a costume but dont want to spend 8 dollars on a on time thing! :)
You must be so much fun to spend the day hanging out in the kitchen. This looks amazing. I want to totally make my own stuff now
Thanks hun! I gotta use that knowledge for something and still paying that school ofttimes. I like to use the basic info and grow from it:)
I have tried this with the crayons and made beautiful lipsticks. Amazing!!!
For cool undertone, use a tiny bit a blue and build up until your desire lipstick shade. To warm it up, use red, yellow, and/or brown.
Yay!!!! Thanks and surprised to finally reach 100k lovely subbies :)
thank you SOOOO much for taking the time and creativity to make all of these DIY videos!!
You can find vitamin e oil at any drugstore and grocery store that carry vitamins in the supplement aisle. They are usually alphabetized and they can come in capsules to so you can pierce them to get the oil out. You don't have to use vitamin e oil because it's an option to extend the storage life of your lipstick. Lipstick without a natural preservative is probably good for 3 months.
You can also use grape seed oil which are available in the skin care and vitamin section of a drugstore. You want the lipstick to be in a semi-solid state. Extending the shelf life is an option so if you don't have it then your lipsticks may be good for 3-5 months to use because we are using vegetable oil that will spoil.
Yey for twistables! and since I am in the Philippines, I have tons of coconut oil.good job, Lisa. I love, love, love your very scientific approach to make-up.
i love you diys!!! im gonna do all of them! i really appreciate how well filmed and edited your videos are . thankyou!!!
hands DOWN most creative video on the YT. crazyyyyyyyyy
oh.my.god. you are totally amazing. also inspirational, crafty, fun, very pretty, and just soooo creative with makeup! hope you read this because you are again, TRULY AMAZING GURL!
You can use either one and/or both since the both are pigments with wax. The oil pastel crayons melts quicker and you can use less oil. Make sure it is non-toxic for it to be lip safe to use.
i love how you can make all of these amazing lip sticks
Out of EVERY video I've searched up. I've finally found the perfect one. THANK YOU !!!(:
I am SO making this. The crayon one was SO bright!
You are REALLY talented. I add ALL of your DIY videos to my favorites playlist!

this is the best diy lipstick video I have seen, thank you so much I will DEFINATELY be using this method from now on!!!!!!
Omg you just did this and made this look so easy and I love how you just did this all with a candle and a metal spoon .
You are so amazing and I subscribed too
You can also use grape seed oil which are available on the skin care and vitamin section of a drugstore. You want the lipstick to be in a semi-solid state.
that is so creative!! so going to try this
I had a few lately that watch this tutorial and used the same method to fix their lipstick . You can melt all of the lipstick and let it cool down enough that it thickens as you pour it back into the tube. Just make sure that the lipstick cool down before pouring it back in the tube and refrigerate until it harden just like this video.
Really loving that red crayon turned lipstick!
Leave the castor oil out and use some titanium dioxide. Try to use less oils since you want it to glide on matte and you can reheat it if you need a tad bit of oil for moisture. Thank you♥
This is my fav DIY from you because other vids on youtube uses vaseline with pigments.i never knew you could use oil pastels on ur lips.but before i saw this vid i just used some soft pastels mixed with my mac fix+
i could watch this video 1 million times and would never get bored of it :) x
I am going to try out your recipes, they look great. I can't wear store bought make up, they put something in it that I am allergic to, so I have to make my own. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Bye for now,
Lori
GIRL! that red lipstick just gave me LIFE!!!
wow....you're so creative! i've never thought crayon can be used as a lipstick!
I love how you use what you learned in pharmacy school with makeup :)
Really awesome, easy to follow and so helpful!!!!!!! Definitely doing this!!!!! Keep making tutorials!!!!!!
Your so creative I have been looking for a good recipe for lip stick that's perfect!
It's on my list to do =) Thanks for asking!
LOL That would be awesome! Your family will be thrilled on your beauty making skills:)
THANK YOU for making this tutorial! C: I needed blue lipstick for a costume and couldn't find any anywhere, but now I can just make some.
I am obsessed with your DIYs!
I tried it out and it works ! Thank you for this tutorial!
such an amazing idea :) i went out today and got the things and made a really nice nude pink lipstick its amazing its the one colour i've been looking for but i've never found :) thank you! xx i love your DIYs please do more! :) x
That's a really cool idea! You can make yourself a lipstick for every day, and for costumes and stuff like that and it's really chip!
I'm a makeup artist so they will get a lot of uses;) To make the basic lipstick recipe, you need coconut oil, a carrier oil, color, and wax or crayons/oil pastels. You will have a lot left over with your supplies to make so many and use them in your beauty care so it's cheap and cost you less than a dollar to make a few lipsticks.
Love it no wonder they call you the queen of DIY thanks so much for sharing
You can use cocoa butter or any base. Its really up to you to have fun with the recipe but make sure it a semi-solid base to work with.
this is awesome! I went to watch one of your videos, and all of the sudden I realize I'm on video 6! haha. Keep up the good work, you're very creative and smart, and you're beautiful!

woah best DIY vid ever!! you seriously have the brain and mind for creating these kind of things! love your ideas cant wait to try this out thaaaaankyouuuu ^^
I absolutely adore these diy makeup videos. Please continute to make more! :)
I'll get the wax, but even the non toxic crayons are bad if ingested. As usual, your videos are wonderful and I look forward to trying this diy also
You are the DIY QUEEN for sure!
I tried this out and instead of using Castor Oil or Vitamin e oil I used extra virgin olive oil and it came out really good.
You can try any skin base butter like shea or cocoa butter.
Ugh pressed done on my ipad on accident ! But you have by far the BEST DIYs ! Totally subbed !
What!!! Holy cow!!! I can make whatever color I need using crayons, coconut oil, a few other oils depending on preference, and/or eyeshadows, of which I have tons of...TO THE KITCHEN STAT!
Love love loooove this tutorial. Gonna make tons of lipsticks!
Dunno if this helps but I played around with the recipe and used coconut oil. I think something that doesn't turn solid (olive oil or canola or vegetable) is best to avoid unless you want a liquidy consistency. If you do use a liquid oil, perhaps add more wax, that way it turns out more solid :)
Biggest key to this project is to experiment and have fun until you find exactly what works for you
Exactly. Some people act like creativity is foreign. Substitute what you have. No you don't have to use every single thing that she used. People asking "do I have to use a flavored oil?". You don't have to do anything.
I hope it's as easy as looking at the video... Love the idea save tons of money
I used to rewatch this video all the time when I was a kid. Cant believe I’m watching this in 2020
Aww 🥰 So long ago. I miss making videos.
Wow I wanna make a bright purple one now!
i did it! i love it nude pink is definitely my color! thanks so much
Wow. And that's from a crayon. I might just do this and use like the darkest red crayon I can find, instead of trying to search for an actual lip stain or something that dark. I haven't found anything so far and I've been searching forever so what do I have to lose by trying this? Thanks Lisa!
The red one is gorgeous!!!
In love with the crayon idea made 5 tonight the coconut oil makes it so creamy. Best DIY ever!(:
What great ideas for xmas gifts!!! You are awesome!! xoxo
You are the queen of DIY!
I'm literally going to ask for a bunch of the ingredients from you're DIY videos for christmas, so thanks to you, my christmas/birthday list is going to make my family think I'm crazy xD
Hi Lisa , for crayon lipstick , do you use crayola or oil pastel kind ?( are they safe to use on lip , especially when your lip is dry and tend to lick it )
And can I use Vaseline hydrating jelly instead of coconut oil ?
Thank you very much for this informative video and for showing us so many different ingredient options; it's very much appreciated!
Best wishes to you
You are such a doll, thank you for all the Amazing tips! I can't wait to try it out
Gahhh this is amazing! Can't wait to do this! QUICK QUESTION: Can I use Cod Fish oil instead of Castor oil for shine? Do you know if it will work the same?
NIIIIIIIICE. I'M TOTALLY DOING THIS. Great video.
Then add more crayon by remelting your batch. Each crayon quality and brand will be different. My favorite are oil pastels because they are opaque and don't require a lot of oil.
Thank you
Thanks!
I love your creativities..will make my own lipsticks!! thank you
omg this works really pretty thnx so much i needed a new lipstick and got the color i wanted!!!!
i loveee the red one
I just cried when she scraped the new concealer!!
I already try the lipstick with crayon, olive oil. And it kinda works! Thank you :) I live in Indonesia. I don't know if in my country they sell stuff like that.
can you please do a tutorial on fix a broken lipstick....love your creative way !
