This may not work for everyone but for me I grew my 3b high porosity hair from bra strap length to tailbone length in 1 year and a half by drying my hair under a hooded dryer with rollers every 10-14 days. My natural hair gets frizzy very easily which creates a lot of tangles = more breakage. I find I retain more length when I dry my hair in rollers it basically gives me a blow out look, keeps my hair moisturized, frizz free, and tangle free, losing way less hair than when it’s curly. I’ll only pass a flat iron on my roots never my ends. I also have no heat damage at all.

I 100% agree. I have 3C/4a hair and keeping it stretched has it to my ass. curly hair causes too much breakage and shedding.
I do the same with the hair rollers… and the hair is pretty straight. My ends still be a little ratchet but I will do a light pass with the flat iron from the roots to the ends. I typically have to bun it up or braid it down into a bun to “smooth” the ends and provide a wave to my hair!

Waist length hair is generally where your waist naturally goes in or beneath your rib cage. Where most people wear their pants is hip length. Basically, CLAIM IT!

I had 1in of hair in 2018 and hair to my ass now lol it will get there. i think iron, collagen and not wearing it curly (sad but true for us 3c+ girls) and getting it trimmed every 3 months (& cutting split ends regularly) has my hair this long. my goal is hip length by EOY!!

Oils do not penetrate anyone’s hair. The purpose is to seal the moisture in your hair and keep the hair lubricated to prevent breakage
