It's funny how society can judge you according to their standards, can you imagine if Alex Boye didn't believe in himself after AGT found him not worthy of their stage. This man is creative and can sing his heart out.
AGT is a made up TV show... just like all TV shows. The judges and producers decide how things play out and the single best thing they could do for Alex was introduce him to a worldwide audience and then cut him free to be signed up internationally by agents who can get him the best performing opportunities, hopefully! Or, that’s the way it should work, unfortunately, many artists get chewed up before they find the right “agent.” Don’t think that will happen to Alex, though.

+Devin J. Bowden LOL First of all, how is my opinion racist? Hate to burst your social justice bubble snowflake, but Mr. Boye's skin color was the last reason I thought would make him a fitting role for Rafiki. It was his VOICE. Secondly, it's common sense that to pull off any character in film or tv, most notably in animation, that you need to find a person with a voice that would fit well with the character they are portraying. For example, James Earl Jones as Mufasa. I and many others would agree that his voice was more than fitting for the role of Mufasa, not because he was black, but because with his bass-like voice, he was able to embody everything Mufasa was in the film. As long as the voice fits and the actor/actress is able to emote, connect and be credible, their racial backgrounds shouldn't even be an issue and shouldn't even be thought of when choosing voice actors. Thirdly, that "damn monkey" is fricken awesome! Especially how he single-handedly whooped six of the hyenas in the last third of the film. In my opinion, he's one of the best characters in the entire film. I think Boye is a good choice for the role of Rafiki, he definitely has a voice that fits the character and when choosing a voice actor, that is the most important thing.

We are all brothers and sisters, not black or white or any other race. We must all join together to fight the evil of this planet and restore the world to it's glory. Makes me want to move to Africa and help animals and people as well.
From the day we arrive on the planet And blinking, step into the sun There's more to be seen than can ever be seen More to do than can ever be done Some say eat or be eaten Some say live and let live But all are agreed as they join the stampede You should never take more than you give In the circle of life, it's the wheel of fortune It's the leap of faith, it's the band of hope Till we find our place on the path unwinding In the circle, the circle of life Some of us fall by the wayside And some of us soar to the stars And some of us sail through our troubles And some have to live with the scars There's far too much to take in here More to find than can ever be found But the sun rolling high through the sapphire sky Keeps great and small on the endless round

Have you ever thought of doing "he lives in you" as a separate music video all together
I like it together
Timothy Balch I agree, I love it all but I keep relaying that part the most. This version is 100x better than the original.
I was also hoping that they would have this song on itunes
Rest In Peace Suni. What a beautiful song
Great song, TANZANIA is a country of peace! Land of Mt. Kilimanjaro & Serengeti national park. The land of beautiful Swahili language, beautiful Maasai people and so many others.
