I have been eye balling those distress oxide inks for a few weeks. This video convinced me to stop eye balling and purchase them. So I did. A whole set. HAHA! Can't wait to us them!!! Very cute layout!

Oh my goodness Vicky, this is amazing! What a fun art journal! You have me so inspired. I want to make an art travel journal for our vacation for this summer. We are taking a road trip and we will be traveling through four provinces so I want to make it specifically for each province, leaving room to write and eventually adding a few photos! Thanks for all of the inspiration!
BTW, my book looks like yours so I am curious if I need to prep my pages with Gesso or anything special before I start? I don't have Oxides but can you just use Distress inks for the background? Thanks in advance!
Love your art journal posts!! This is the first time I've actually LIKED the Hipsters in a project! They didn't appeal to me, but I think they're pretty funny and cute in this layout! Not sure if I'll buy them, but I can appreciate them more now!! 😄

I'm happy that your art journal layouts are back! I have been in withdrawal, anxiously awaiting new ones and even rewatching older posts. I don't think one a month will be enough for me!!! That was great fun, Vicky. I just made a small art journal with the stamps and oxide inks and enjoyed it thoroughly. So glad you're going to post more art journal pages...yours are my favourites.
Yay for more art journal pages! I think your cards are pretty, but I don't make cards any more so I get very few technique ideas from them. In no way do I mean to insult your card-making talent, though! I was glad that you showed that Tim's letter stamps now come unattached from a foam block. I have several of his letter stamp sets, but I never use them because I can't see where the letters will end up. Maybe I'll see if I can remove them from the foam blocks.

I'm not totally sold on the Distressed Oxide inks just yet, even though the craft world seems to love them. (LoL) Thank you for all the tips too as I am a weekend crafter and have limited supplies. The tips help me use what I already have in other ways.

What can I add that has not already been posted, I loved this whole page, the stamps, the distress ink etc and I loved the letters..My stash is growing by leaps and bounds cause each time I see something new from you, just got to have it...Looking forward to anything you do!!!
Happy to see another journal page from you and looking forward to more. I discovered you through Craftsy and learned a lot creating the pages from your class. I just finished creating a second page of my own using the Distress Oxide inks and learned the hard way not to put matte medium on these inks. I covered my stamped images with micro Glaze but to no avail. I applied my inks with a blending tool (the hard way), but your method is so much better. I will use it next time. thanks for the tips and inspiration. Keep it coming!

I'm glad this older video showed up on my Recommended to Watch list today. I forgot about that great stamp set. When I first got it, I made everybody's birthday cards with them. This is a great way to get them out and used again!
