Hi,I was born in Rufford, its nice to see people visiting which has quite a history to it ,The heskeths family moved out of the the old hall and moved to the new hall, which was later transformed it to a Hospital and treated patients for Tuberculosis which then closed in the 80's.The Hesketh arms was a coaching in sadly the barns where knocked down to make way for a bigger car park, The old hall, church, and Hospital all lead to one another via tunnels or so i was told ,just down the road used to oasis used tobe a supermarket sadly knocked down in the 80's Fidillers crisps down brick kiln lane used to be a pigery, used to play there when i was younger. Its a great little village steeped in history, there are lots of old pictures online.
Oh wow thank you for all that information 😊. I've been to the hall many times and of course...the pub lol. Never actually taken time to walk around the village though. I will do a bit of research online and see if I can find a walk pointing out all the historic bits. Thanks again 😊
Hi Carol that looked a nice afternoon out, definitely take Molly next time she would love it 🐶 enjoyed that video a bit of everything see you on the next one 👍😀
Thank you Liz, it's funny how much I miss her when I'm at places like that. Bought her some new balls on my way home so I eased the guilt a bit 🤣. Enjoy your Sunday ❤️
@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment it's might have a jaunt up there once my car is fixed. Not sure i could go into the church though. Holy water might burn my heathen hide.
Looks like you had a really nice, chilled and relaxing day Carol... probably well-deserved recharge after a busy spell for you with one thing and another 🙏 Rufford Old Hall looks like a nice place to visit, especially at this time of year 🍁...and being close by, it's a nice trip to do at different times of year, with Moll too next time 🙌 We have several NT estates around here - I don't tend to go around the houses/halls souch, but when I do I find it intriguing to see all the portraits on the walls and makes me wonder what their life was like back then, 400-500+ years ago 🤔😍 Have a lovely new week Carol 🤗 🤗
Well now that I've realised how much I'm paying for membership I'll be visiting as many as possible lol. There's quite a few all within about an hours drive from me. Weather depending, im hoping to get out a bit more this week 🤞😊
@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment 🙏 that sounds great Carol, look forward to seeing some visits to those 🙌 turned very much colder here, but hopefully some dry, sunny days for you this week 🤞🤗🤗
So happy and cheerful always makes my day..lovely video on the church and surrounding areas..I always found old churches a lovely place to sit and think..very calming..have a lovely weekend best wishes to you and family..James& cathy
I do always have a sit if I'm.on my own, like you say there's something very calming about them. Obviously can't sit down if I've got my 4 legged friend lol as the peace would be shattered 🤣 Enjoy your weekend too 😊
Hi again Carol , it's all about the balls lol, no comment on the scary dolls!! Rufford Old Hall looks like a nice place to visit, yes there are a few boats there well i have to say looks as though you had a good time very enjoyable vid
What No Click Bait , No Bikini, Why did I bother , Oh yeah I still enjoy the video LOL. Glad to hear there still will be Christmas for the kids (They are always kids , even if they are grown up adults too LOL) You definitely gave the dogs a good bit of exercise always good. That will be good return on those dolls, I'm not into dolls LOL, but some neat looking ones there for sure. Rufford Old Hall looks was very interesting , I agree there's always something unique about each location, too bad you didn't know Molly would be permitted . That church reminds me of the little one in the community I grew up in in some ways although that one was much bigger ,Love seeing boats again takes me back to the little fishing village I grew up in Thanks for taking us along my friend , Hope you have an awesome weekend.
All the shops are now playing the Xmas songs now and I'm kinda getting into the Xmas spirit a bit. Which is kinda early for me as I'm usually a strictly 1st December person. This is our first Xmas in.our new home too. Do you get snow over the festive season? I wish we did ❤️
@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment we usually have snow by Christmas we've actually had a few dustings but it's quite mild again this week temps in the mid teens with lots and lots of rain for past couple of weeks
Another great vlog Carol, thanks. I do think those dolls are creepy and couldn't imagine having so many in one room, although your daughters collection doesn't look as bad as I had imagined! Rufford Old Hall looked great. You'll have to get yourself a boat now to add to your collection of transport modes. Looking forward to seeing Netty back on the road and your videos with her ♥
I did look at a boat in the summer lol. I'd absolutely love one but it's how practical are they. As you know I love my exploring and walking, you're quite limited on a boat. We had a boat growing up on the Leeds &Liverpool canal that my dad rebuilt inside, so I think that's where my love of them comes from ❤️
@@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment If you buy a boat I'll help you crew it. My parents had boats on the Medway and then the Thames when I was younger and I always enjoyed my time on them 🛥♥
Hi Carol. . wow fabulous bikini free video 😅 what a beautiful place you visited and the historical buildings were amazing to see . Definitely one of my favorites. Thank you for posting it
I would love to be able to live on a canal barge or in caravan, because I find them more cosy and more comfortable and relaxing and more laid back sort of life, than living in a house, even if I won the euro lottery my thoughts wouldn't change for me ❤👍
Fancy that, I got divorced aged 25 too (in 1979 tho.) Second marriage to a Kiwi lass 5 years later and along came the kids ... gorgeous souls 🥰 ... Off to New Zealand then in 1984!! None of that planned alas - What am I like? A cork on the ocean of life 🙄! - don't rock the boat lol! Was that St Mary's Marina (on the Liverpool to Leeds canal) ?? Talking of narrowboats - Recommended viewing, just 16 minutes: search 'The Narrowboat Lad (Canalboat Life Short Film)' with our old friend Dan Mark Brown on "Tilley" (Ostwestry/Llangollen.)
@marklyons3003 Yes it was St Mary's. Nice little spot for mooring your boot, got talking to a lovely couple who live full time on theirs. I do love the idea of a boat but it's the moving it every 2 weeks or so if you haven't got a paid mooring that puts me off. It would then restrict me a bit with my caravan trips away etc. I'll have a look at that, thanks 😊
@@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment Sorry Carol, I wasn't advocating a change of direction/lifestyle for you at all, not in the slightest. What you currently do and what you have planned for the future, for your TY Channel etc. is amazing and exciting and I totally respect and support that. Your passion for caravanning and the great outdoors is patently clear. It's in your dna, it lights your fire and you blossom as a result of it.
@@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment Haha well fancy that. He's an interesting chap ay. I've enjoyed following his journey intermittently over the years. I bought his book "My Narrowboat Life - From Beginning to End" last year from Amazon. A great read.
Hi , can you remind me again what was the sealant stuff you used paint on the roof not tape I had it in my Amazon but it seems to have vanished chroma something? 🙈😁😊
I find some historic buildings a bit creepy to be honest more than doll's,but i don't know if doll's are creepy or not because I've never had one, even a blow up one now thats what i would call really creepy 😂😂👍
Well that was a pleasant Half-Hour 🤠 ... And your lack of Trolls on the Clickbait Video?? .. It's probably down to the fact that You've become the 'Linda Lusardi' of UA-cam ... 'Saucey-But-Classy' ... 👍😎

Boss vid. I didn't realise this was so close. Well, I knew Rufford was there, but I've always bypassed it.
It's a lovely place to have a little wander. The car park and gardens are free, you just pay for the house. 😊
