Awesome , needed a couple these last week Kamloops . See n a few of these off the weed beds but didn't have any vacancy in he fly-box . Next time I will make more room .
Looks awesome. A little question if I may... How durable is the woven ostrich feather to the toothy critters? Made me wonder if platting in a reinforcement cord of sorts might be useful. Just my 5c worth
I think because the way you tie the bead chain it will swim whith the hook pointing upward, so will need to turn the hook upwards and tie down the legs and the wing case, or tie the bead chain inward the hook if you want the fly swim with the hook downward. Very nice fly, I see that it looks buggy, it might work even for a carp.
Excellent fly. Thanks for the concise instruction too!
Really interesting. I've never seen the braided ostrich technique. I will give it a try. Thanks for sharing!
The voice over with detailed pictures works great for explaining the technical stuff 👍🤟 keep it coming.
Matthew Sharp thanks Matt! More to come for sure!🎣
Thanks for the great video ! Keep up the excellent fly tying videos ,you make me crave more.
Thank you more to come for sure!

Thanks for watching! The fly swims and works quite well during the large damsel migrations. Cheers!
Hi Stanton, could you expand on how you do the hitch knot on the tail? It’s giving me a hard time.
Hi Greg, an easy overhand knot is all you need. Make sure to use the stronger section of the ostrich and not the very tip part. 👍🏼
I didn't see a "hitch" knot, just an overhand knot
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Tight lines 🎣
