Good Morning Laura & Gardening Friends!!! Am I the only one who’s enjoying the voice over in this video? It’s so soothing & makes the “chore” of maintaining the garden, a lot easier to handle.
I’m not a fan of voice over videos... I’m sure it simplifies things things for Laura though.
Me too
I love it too. If Laura wants to do voiceover to make her job go quicker, and we have more videos, I am game!
Loved this format for a video!
Love the voice over this morning!!
This was one of the most satisfying videos, Laura. Maybe because it felt like we were walking along with you through your day( a small part of your day). You usually explain while you work, right when you are doing the work and here you just went about it without talking. Explaining it later. This is different than what you usually do. Maybe that is why it seemed new.
Agree. I like this new format!
Also, I think the regular maintenance jobs is what we all do the most. This seemed so relatable. I have always loved to watch Laura at her maintenance work. She wore the same shirt for 3 videos straight, makes me wonder if she did all that in one day!
It’s weird garden maintenance is satisfying to me. I’m not a fan of cleaning, anything🤷🏻♂️
I also really like this format!
Could garden tours be in this format as well using the drone ?
The way y’all edited this was perfect! More like this would be much appreciated. We get to see the way to cut stuff back, you can take your time with the narration and it probably easier on you when you’re filming alone. Brilliant!!
Agreed! Love, love, love the voiceover, Laura!
I’m sitting here as my nails dry while watching your video ❤️ it’s my wedding day and no better way to spend it this morning watching gardening videos
@ Brianna Young, Hope your marriage is very blessed!
May your future be blessed 👰🤵💞💐
Congratulations- may Almighty God bless your marriage!! 👪💕🙏
It's also my birthday.
Wow! With all you have on your mind and you still found time to watch a gardening video...on pulling weeds. Haha! 😄
Best wishes for your happy marriage.
@@Edu_Kate 🤣🤣 thanks for the good laugh the morning after. Both of him laughed at this.
I liked that you did a different format. Many other UA-camrs do this and for what you were up to it works. I like that you are willing to try new things but what a nice way for you to hopefully get more done as even though you are still moving the camera you aren't talking into it (and maybe doing retakes if needed). Thanks as always for sharing what you are doing!
Good morning fellow gardening slackers, we’ve all got something to do in the garden but watching Laura working in her garden is more important and enjoyable. 😭🤣❤️
Ps.Take it easy in the heat, have a good weekend, all.
😂 just gonna call out me and my unpruned tomatoes like that 😩
@@Rena-ej7vv yup 🤣
@@Rena-ej7vv LOL!
@@Rena-ej7vv Hahaha you're not alone!
Love the voice over video, Laura! Quite refreshing actually. Also love that Benjamin, despite his young age, helps you alot already not only in gardening but also with house chores. He's a really bright kid.
You are so lucky, Laura. Benjamin is so sweet and helpful!
You are doing garden maintanance while I'm doing my houseplant maintanance. I put this video on and just do my chores. It feels like we are hanging out and I am loving it! Good morning everyone! 🙋🏽♂️😊
I do the same thing. I take her out to the garden. I love the long walks about the garden as she discovers something blooming. So satisfying. Maybe because she reminds me of my days with my kids as they discovered things in the garden. Such happy times. Oh who am I kidding, Laura is just special! Her creative spirit is my joy.

This was nice. I like the voice over format.
Really liked this! I am so glad to read comments that others like it too! Hopefully it was easier for her and she was able to get her work done more effortlessly.
I agree. The voice over had to have made her day so much easier and quicker especially with their heat they are having. More voice overs to help ease your day!
I like that Laura weeds with as much zeal as when she plants. 🪚💪🏼
Great job Laura. Very true that we have to weed sometimes when we plant. Due to our large amount of rain in the Midwest I weeded while my husband mowed. I really enjoy your videos and Benjamin is so cute!
Morning all! 🌺🌸
My heart overfilled when Benjamin was helping clean the grill and sidewalk. He is such a sweet child, I love it! Definitely raising the bar for when my husband and I have kids in a few years!
Having you narrate while pruning and clearing was so satisfying to watch, and motivates me to get my own garden cleaned up. Great way to start my weekend--Thanks for inspiring! 💚
OMG, you are such a good girl, wife, daughter, Mother and a Plantwomen! Let nobody ever give you the impression you are not.
We all Love you, no matter how hard you work. You are Amassing, Very Lovable and One of a Kind! Cheers from the Netherlands
This is so refreshing. The voice-over, plus the music choice and of course, Benjamin at the last part. 💚💚💚
Except I really missed the “see you in the next one, bye 👋🏼 “ at the end.. lol
Yes Stacy... I said.. "is this it?" .. What a beautiful video. It makes you forget the awful heat.... I could not do it...
We all know that "tidy" is one of Laura's favorite words. ❤️😊
I like this video. It allowed you to go about tackling jobs with only minimal time spent videoing. I know that has to be easier for you when you have day full of jobs and the threat of severe heat coming. Thanks as always for letting us come along. It always amazes me how much you can accomplish.
I agree! If it means longer gardening time I'm all for it! Love this talk over!
It's always satisfying to clean & weed a spot that's been overgrown.
I really liked this voiceover style of video! And it’s so satisfying seeing a garden get freshened up!
Missing the bloopers you guys used to add at the end of your videos....love from India. Love your content, Thank you for sharing your love of gardening with us...God bless you! 😇❤
I absolutely love watching garden maintenance videos. Seeing everything trimmed back and cleaned up feeds my soul. And the voice over is a nice touch for use to watch you perform activities in real time without slowing you down to explain.
I have so much garden maintenance and insect issues I need to address but it’s just too hot, wet, and humid. I’m in Florida zone 9b and it has been raining every afternoon for about a month. The humidity is so bad, even first thing in the morning. 🤦🏼♀️🥵
It’s so nice to see I’m not the only one that sometimes lets things get away from me in the garden lol! Happy 4th y’all!!
The simple ‘real’ feeling of this video is just wonderful!
Good morning Laura & Aaron! Thanks for opening up your world to all of us. I admire your honesty about gardening! Even in your vulnerability you are a joy to watch & learn from. Have a blessed weekend! Give your sweet babies a hug from me🥰
The voice over was smart and gave her freedom to work without stopping to explain something. That way the voice over can be done inside with the AC on 😅
I like this new style of edit but I missed, “That’s it guys. See y’all in the next one!”
I’d love Garden Answer in any form or fashion.
I would like to see a bit of a blend, where we get to have Laura speaking to us directly for part of it, and saying goodbye at the end. But anything Laura and Aaron do, I will watch it and love it!!
Same!! I loved it, but I just wanted those couple of words at the end. The voice over was great, and the whole thing was relaxing to watch
Yes, I kept waiting and staring at the black screen for her to come back and say goodbye lol
I'm sure they'll read this minor critique and apply in future.
I enjoyed today’s video with the refresher on cutting back salvia, something that is on my list to do, but I too missed Laura’s signature sign off with her smile and wave, which is an upbeat, cheerful way to end the videos.
What a darling boy, helping his Mama clean.❤️
This audio over the video thing... loving it. 😊🌿🌸
The editing on this video was different but I loved it. Benjamin is such a good helped.
Loved the voice over, so much useful info thank you!!!!
Here in Sweden it’s lunch time (1PM) when your videos get out, perfect for a coffee and a break!
Same here in South Africa. I make my coffee and sit on the patio watching Laura. Love it
Are you able to grow similar stuff as Laura in Sweden? I am in the US in zone 7 (Virginia) and surprisingly we overlap with most of what she plants, although she has mentioned some plants she can’t grow that are staples here (like crepe myrtle trees). Interesting that many people come from all parts of the globe on gardening channels. 😀
@@ashdav9980 I live on an island on Sweden’s east coast and we have a really mild climate here with mild winters. There are fig trees here! So yes, I can grow most of the same plants as Laura. And I’m soo grateful I found her channel, really enjoying it. Feels like she’s my friend popping in for coffee almost every day at 1PM with her videos. 😆☕️☕️
@@asaliden4584 Oh, fig trees? Amazing, we don’t grow fig trees where I am but many fruit and nut trees. I will check out some images of east Sweden landscapes! I assumed you would have harsh winters everywhere. Thank you for the reply!
@@ashdav9980 check out Gotland, the beautiful island of roses and limestone where I live. 😍
Ok this has done it!! You’ve shamed into heading out to the garden, sooooo many chores I’ve neglected. Going to tackle them now. 😂😂Loved the voice over.
I don't know that shame is the motivating factor, but thinking of the end result sure is. I've been working on zoning my much smaller yard ever since Laura told us about her way of tackling weeds and maintenance. It doesn't always happen in that order, but I figure by next year I'll have it mastered. Fertilizer Fridays anyone?
Oh, and I break down a section's chores onto a list so I have more entries to cross off when I complete that task. 😄
Weeding: the ugly side of being a gardener. Thanks for the encouragement of getting out there and tackling a task that is so dreaded but is a necessity during the summer months. Thanks for sharing have a great holiday weekend stay cool be safe!!!
So true. I try to be mine in the early Mornings as well cause and pick them while they are small throughout the season.
That Benjamin, he is such a good kid. Aaron and Laura you are so blessed.
Loved this format! Missed the "thank you for watching, see you next time" wave at the end.
Love the voice over format but I missed your sign off!!! Doesn’t seem complete without Laura saying “thanks for watching this video and I’ll see you in the next one”
I felt the same. I was watching and then all of a sudden….”wait, is it over?” I needed her to say goodbye.😂
Me too! At least we did get hey guys how's it going ❤️
Agree
I always wave back 👋
I enjoyed seeing you work on the “chores” of the garden. Very relatable.
I grew Angelica years ago. It has now invaded the borders around my veg garden. Beautiful, but deadly. Thinking about you with the terrible heat. 💗
Loving the voice over.
This is one of my favorite video, I love when you prune and freshen up the garden. It's always an added bonus to see the children.
What a great little helper🙌❤️
Love, love , love the narration approach! Seems like it made it easier on you as well and you were able to get more done?? Thank you, Laura and Aaron for these videos. I don’t know how my day would go if I didn’t start it with you all!
I loved the voice over format!! Thanks for sharing your garden 🪴
How timely!!! My salvia will need a trim soon, the earwigs are in action and that Virginia Creeper…it is insane. I swear I pull it out and it’s back in a day or two. Thanks for showing me how you do my type of yard work!
When I see Laura working in the scorching heat in jeans and long sleeves with her hair down, I almost feel I’m getting a heatstroke myself. And it’s not even hot where I live. Such a tough gal!! 💪🏻 ☀️
Love the voice-over work! Would be fun to see more videos with voice-overs! I did miss your goodbye waive at the end though. 💐🎥👏🏼🥰
Wow this voiceover style was quite different, but I'm all here for it, especially if it makes doing projects easier for you.
Seriously, Am I the only one that talks to Laura about the garden chores I am not doing because I’m watching another fantastic video of Garden Answer?? Thank you for being such a great teacher and inspiration!!
Hey Laura! Could you do a video of common plant problems and how to identify them? I’ve heard you mention how to identify certain issues in certain videos; but, it would be super handy to have one video dedicated to several issues. For example, you can tell whether a plant needs more water, less water, is in too much sun, not enough sun, various bug issues, iron issues, etc! As a young gardener, I can pretty much tell if a plant isn’t happy. But, I’d like to know some tell tale signs to help me help them! Love your videos, thank you so much for all you do!!
I LOVED the voiceover!! This was such a relaxing, enjoyable watch!
Weeding and maintenance can be so relaxing on a cool morning. I look at it as a warm-up before the workout. It sort of gets you ready to tackle bigger tasks. I really enjoyed this video. A break from the normal routine.
No Bye??? That was great summary. I am doing the same here, today. Happy Fourth of July!!🎆✨🇺🇸
Lol I know it went to an ad and then it was done.
This is the most satisfying video, there's something so good about watch you work.
Feathering the nest is what I call it. It's good for soul and makes you feel good like a warm hug!
Operation free the the beech tree from the Virginia creeper. LOL! that cracked me up.
Your videos are the first thing I do every day. And now that you've done your maintenance, I'm off to do mine, deadheading the roses and looking for weeds.
I loved the voice over! Very good technique and effective! I would like to see more of that.😁🌸
You have so much energy and enthusiasm to work in the heat! It's so satisfied to see a nice neat bed in the end. And it's so nice to have your kid willing to help cleaning.
This is so soothing to watch and listen to. Hopefully when I get outside my small garden is all clean and tidy too😂🤗
We tend to dread garden maintenance, but it really is satisfying to see the results!
I really enjoyed the style of this video. I get so much motivation to tackle my garden maintenance from watching this kind of video. The voice over works so well for this type of video. Loved it from beginning to end. PS Can I borrow Benjamin for the afternoon?
LOVE THE VOICE OVER!!!!😁 That was great! Bless Benjamin's heart, he lives to help! He's going to be a big help when he gets older. He's awesome!
The weeding is so satisfying. More of that please. 😄
Please do more voice overs like this. It's nice and efficient...
I’m dealing with a bunch of earwigs too. Good to know, I’m not the only one. I sprinkled some bug and slug stuff down, which will hopefully take care of them. They are eating all my leaves- those little stinkers!
Very satisfying to watch and a great reminder. Just checked our grill…hey Benjamin! 🤣😬
Like the narrated format, must be a great time saver while videoing👍
That frame where your backdrop is the shade loving hostas etc, with the outdoor fireplace. Looks amazing. I wanna just sit on a quiet day and listen to the birds .. I need the tranquility
I’m not usually fond of voice overs, but this was so relaxing! Thank you Laura, for sharing your to-do list projects with us 💕
Really enjoyed these videos of ordinary chores. Laura has such a great attitude toward plants and gardening that she can’t even say anything bad about the garden thugs that take over areas, spread rampantly and engulf a beautiful, purple beech. The very definition of positivity!
Wow you were really busy in your garden today. Its so rewarding when you have done all the weeding and taking out old or dieing plants. And you can take good look at your beautiful garden. So much better. L just love it in my garden to.
Hi Laura I appreciate how great a gardener you are. I enjoy watching your videos. My grandma passed away few years ago. She love flowers and plants. Thank you Laura for teaching me how start garden bed in the front and back yard in memories of my beautiful grandma.
I like this style of video for you, Laura, where you voice over what you’ve done in the garden. I can imagine you found it to be a more productive way to work too, without the distraction of constantly explaining what you’re doing and why, while you’re doing it. Making the most of that cooler early morning time. Enjoyed this!
I so like it when you narrate while showing what you are doing. To see and listen at the same time is so much more education. Thank you
I like the voice-over narration! Good way to bang out several jobs AND make a video without it taking as much time😊
Benjamin is looking like a big boy now - it’s amazing how quickly they change and how fast they grow. He is such a sweet & handsome little guy. It’s so sweet how they want to help at this age. If only they wanted to scrub sidewalks at 16!
This was a fun little video to watch. I liked the way you did this one for a change.
A voice over. Laura is working smarter not harder. Great way to beat the heat. Kudos to you!
This video was so satisfying, if you are looking for feedback, definitely do more in the future!! 💕 It was very informative. I do have a question, how do you get your Lamb’s ear to not spread and take over?
I’m dealing with brown spots on my lambs ear, just planted this spring🤔
Doreen are they dry?
I haven't had that problem when I grew lamb's ear, but with yarrow, I planted it inside a large-size plant can and buried the can.
I loved this video. Oftentimes the everyday maintenance issues in the garden aren't talked about, and it's so helpful to see! Thank you!!
This is my first comment on your channel...I am typically a silent observer, however, I feel I must tell you...I have no family and suffer greatly from depression....I sometimes go for days at a time where I don't feel like getting out of bed....but watching your videos has rekindled my love of the garden. Seeing you , your husband , your mom and BEAUTIFUL children makes me feel like part of a family, or at least it helps me pretend that I am. Please know that I am being as genuine as I can be when I say your videos have made a profound difference in my life....my house is cleaner...my garden has never looked better...and my outlook on life has improved.....with love from central valley California zone 9
First time commenting - loved this video. LOVE all your videos but this one came at the right time for me (first time gardener and lots of maintenance needs in our yard) and I really enjoyed the format. I learned so much with the voiceover. I would love to see more maintenance videos in this style along with your other videos. And I agree with others, I miss the goodbye - I had to "rewind" because I thought I had zoned out for a second and missed it. You are amazing, thank you for teaching us all.
Good Saturday morning everyone. I’ve been sitting here waiting for our daily sunshine of Laura! Coffee ready!☕️☕️
This is truthfully one of my favorite videos! Love seeing your garden areas that are not so ‘perfect’ and the voice over is a nice change of pace!
Oh sweet Benjamin coming out to help Mama clean the grill and then decide to clean the sidewalk too. Such a cutie pie.
Voice over was nice for this type of video however I love the detailed instruction you give from your other videos.
Love how you show how involve your kids in the work of the day. Working moms always got to juggle it all. Love your channel!
Laura’s favorite gardening word,…”TIDY”! Love your motivation Laura
I love this format! The voice-over made me feel like I was walking with a friend through her garden hearing all the fun details of the gardening life we love…and love to share.
Very satisfying to watch. That Virginia creeper… wow.
Really enjoyed this voice over. You moved right along and the explanations were great. I can see from other comments that others liked it, also.
I could watch you garden all day long Laura! So much inspiration to get me out and beautify my yard. Can you guys, pretty please, do a day in the life type vlog? I would love to see more of your family time. I understand that isn’t your focus, but Love Love all your videos!
Laura, you get more done in a day than I do in a week. Would love to have some of your energy.
What a perfect way to start my Saturday morning! Relaxing, enjoying my café latte while listening and watching you tidy up. So inspiring and quite a pleasurable way to start my day.
Starting the day with a GA video motivated me to go tackle my gardening tasks. Oh look, another GA video…gonna have to postpone my work…darn 😀
Anyone else say "Alright " and went out and worked in their garden! LOVED the new voice over format!
I have to weigh in to say that I loved this video! The voice-over was truly enjoyable and watching you tackle so many areas in what, to us, appears to be a short time was very satisfying. Made me smile!
Keep these maintenance videos coming! I love seeing how other people maintain their spaces and how they make spur of the moment decisions, like you pulling out and cutting back all that Virginia creeper.
THANK YOU so much for dead heading for us! I learned so much! Guess what I have been doing for dead heading. I would get in there and cut each little dead flower. Also, I found out by watching you that plants are not needing such gentle care. They can cope with being handled. What a change you've made in my gardening life. I've even got rid of spider-mites that I'd had forever. You rock!
My back yard garden has taken a beating this summer with our abnormally high heat. I’ve got aphids on everything , lots of lost flowers and feeling pretty down about it. Watching Laura just makes me feel better.
I'm glad we're 6 months behind here in Australia. We're in winter so these videos inspire me to get out now and prepare for spring while the weather is cool (our day temps are around 17°C (approx 62°F) .
