Excellent video! Thanks! I was just thinking about pulling the bumper off last week to inspect the rear fender for rust. I have spotted the very beginning of paint bubbling where the rear part of the fender meets the bumper. I want to jump on it ahead of time to prevent having issue in the future. This is an area where dirt and gravel builds up on the inner lip of the fender well and collects moisture that eventually causes corrosion.
Rear Bumper Cover For 2005 Honda Crv Ex body shop wanted to charge $95 to do this. I believe that this simple enough to do myself. Especially since you provided these instructions. I may need a few of the bumper clips. There is a screw that secures the little red bumper cover reflectors. The screws on our were rusted to the point where the head was degraded. it took some WD-40 and a pair of needle nose wire clippers to grab the head and slowly unscrew them without damaging reflector frame.
I was really hoping to see you take it off all the way. I wanted to see what's under there. I bought mine salvaged and there is nothing under the rear bumper to cushion a rear impact. No rear bumper reinforcement bar or anything, just a fragile bumper cover which would do nothing in case of an accident! That scares me a bit!
You didn't by any chance make a video about how you got the dent out of the bumper cover did you? I have almost the exact same dent in mine. If not, could you tell me if/how you did it? Thanks! Getting the old one off is a good start. Thanks for that!
Do you have any video with the bumper cover completely removed? Wanting to see how it is designed back there. Can't find anything about bumper rebar or impact rail. Thanks

I heated it up slightly with a heat gun and then gave it one good whack with a rubber mallet from the inside and it popped right out.
@@JackofAllMasterofNone thanks! Will give it a try with a whack
