I agree from all the German cars and Lexus there gorgeous the 3 series coupe is just beautiful. The IS is beautiful. The C class is beautiful. But the IS interior imo has held up the best in feel and look

I have the same year as you. 2008 Lexus IS 250. Mine now has 120k miles as of July 2020. I guess that’s not too bad for a 2008. also I use my IS a few days of the week now as I got a 2020 Toyota Corolla as my daily driver. Great car the IS 250 is. Fun to drive too!
What kind of leather conditioner do you use on your seats? How often do you use it? My drivers seat is showing creases and wear. I'm considering changing leather solution.
In reference to the paint scratch on the passenger side that you showed near the beginning of the video, it is hard to tell from a video but I'm pretty sure it looked like a surface scratch that was only in the clearcoat and not into the paint. These are extremely easy to buff out without doing any work to the paint. Any detailing shop should be able to advise you on this and it should be inexpensive. Since your car is already going back in for paint work it doesn't hurt to ask them about that scratch.

Sorry dont mean to disturb, i am in Nigeria and we hardly have good Auto shops to fix well.. catalyst as been changed but for solenoid they seems not to understand well.. The car Jacks once in awhile the car is put in Reverse from Drive.. Thanks for the response

Any carbon buildup issues? My friends 09 250 had that issue but the dealer fixed it under warranty. The black is also annoying, my GS460 is black and it's impossible to keep clean
Its a great car still driving my 2006 is 250 at 92k. One thing i would advice you to inspect the dashboard for any areas melting. Lexus/Toyota are stalling to fix this problem. Im on the wait list to have my dashboard and side panels to be replaced. Its been over 14 months and nothing. If you see any signs of soft areas and cracks you know that car was affected.

Also were you satisfied with the work done? I read through some forums where some other parts of the car was damaged due to replacing the dashboard.
I was on the list perhaps two months max for the front panels and dash. My rear panels are still on order, though. It took the dealer perhaps a day to do the work, but I'm not entirely sure as I just took a loaner car home for the weekend. My dealer did an impeccable job replacing the panels. In fact, my first dash replacement was defective and the dealer happily installed another. Looks good as new.

I was the first out of 10 scheduled appointments for today as the car was only on the market for a day and I will not let it go as it was guaranteed to sell in only a weekend Mine is nearly fully loaded just no Mark Levinson System and 18' wheels. Still has a 13 speaker system thats quite nice and of course everything else

I love my Lexus 2008 IS 250 , the design is understated but elegant . 75k on the clock and these days only does about 300 miles a month :-)

They are WeatherTech FloorLiner's. I've loved mine in the IS, but it's a hit or miss product. They were awful in our 4Runner.

Maintenance is not bad at all! Car is spacious enough for two people very comfortably, three in pretty decent comfort.

Go to a spot that offers monthly plans for unlimited washes. I pay $60 a month for handwash. Go Everytime I have some freetime
