Praise the Lord ! I finally repented from drinking alcohol. I could never control how much I drank. After seeing so many episodes of Cops the tv series I realized that I wasn't the only one that shouldn't drink or smoke anything. God bless any that's having problems with drinking and smoking. With God you can finally quit those wicked habits. Hallelujah and Amen in the mighty name of the Lord.
Cold turkey? Slowly over time? How?

I’m trying to listen to the entire Bible thanks to David Suchet but the Deaths of all these poor animals isn’t sitting well with me
Don’t let this prevent you from a relationship with our Lord … God is sovereign, he is able to do what he wants , and the reason this sacrifice was set up was for us to atone for sin , so we could be washed .. the killing of the animals was because man couldn’t stop sinning … blood is the sacrifice , also the enemy does rituals , killing animals and also people , also children … which camp do you want to be in
Remember, nearly all of the sacrifices were eaten by the Levites. It seems to me that only the red heifer was completely burned up. Also, keep in mind that these sacrifices were to atone for sin. Every big and every little thing wrong with this world is a result of sin. Without the sacrifices, the whole human race is doomed to destruction. (By the way, the law makes clear that the animals were to be humanely killed.) Finally, do not overlook the fact that God himself in the person of Jesus Christ was tortured and brutally (i.e. NOT humanely) murdered as the final sacrifice for our sins. As such, no animal was ever subjected to any passion that God himself wasn't willing to endure.
Thanks for your kind reply’s Guys I could understand a Human sacrifice although I wouldn’t support that but why did God require that innocent animals be killed on our behalf I don’t see how killing anything including poor Jesus is necessary
Also I had a thought , if Adam and Eve were created in our creators image and they were perfect why would they go against the rules even if they were tricked into it by a Fallen Angel ?
It's not for us to presume why God does what He does.
My take is He wants us to see that our sin causes innocents to suffer. That eventually we stop sinning because our compassion for others demands it.
Jesus died to atone for our sin. That is why there is no need for sacrifices after His death.
But we do need to repent of our sin too if we want to enter Heaven.
I Think the msg is clear if you don't want to have to make innocent sacrifices don't sin

Jesus seems to be really different from this God in Numbers.
thought it was genuinely sad that Moses didnt question or try and beg god to at least spare his brother Aaron. like he asked for his grace in every other situation. and all Aaron did was slightly doubt the water would come out of the rock as god claimed it would, and god even says Moses doubted him too...? sooooo. Its chill if Aaron dies for the mistake they both made? Honestly not surprising at this point like, okay then.

It is really linked with the book of Leviticus and it’s interesting to see how the rules were instructed and planned out. Being scared of Holy God is a natural response I think.

For God so loved the world that He gave His son to die for us,and take everyone of our sins upon the cross.
Why?so we could all be able to enter heaven and reconcile a relationship with Almighty God.

Don't forget that the laws are a method of teaching God's truth . They are preparing the world for the birth, death and supply of innocent blood as payment for sinful, disobedient people.
I believe all living creatures suffer because of sin and Jesus died to pay the debt for that sin.
BUT JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD PROVING HE IS GOD'S SON!
THOSE sacrificial animals must be given souls as well. Certainly they are GOD'S creatures.

They were older than Moses, stayed in Egypt during his 40-year desert trek and were raised trained to know about God from their family and Moses was raised by pagan Egyptians. They were more likely thinking that they knew more or better than little brother.

You are correct, but bear in mind the time this took place. We're talking BC times, and we all know women weren't treated the same back then.
Numbers along with the rest of the Torah was given to Moses by the Creator about 3600 years ago just after the Exodus out of Egypt as law for the Israelites, later Judaism, but ultimately as light to the rest of the world. It may appear harsh out of context like this, especially after being translated over and over through multiple languages and versions, but the entire Hebrew Bible should be read in its context and one should also be aware Numbers is said to contain 4 levels of interpretation. But most importantly for you, the most divine person in all of the Hebrew Bible is Ruth, not a man, it is said it was her soul which God consulted with on creation of man in Gen 1:26 "Let us make man in our image". - the woman reared the children
