That is very nice decking material. Gasketing the lids would reduce the noise pollution. Need an off/off switch for the batteries in the bow plus a plug and fuses to protect that very valuable trolling motor head unit. Love those rotating rod holders!
Pretty keen to see or read any info on the flow coat on the alloy floor. I pulled the alloy floor out and replaced with ply, glass and flow coat on my old boat as per your video. Need to do something with the new boat in the near future.
I'd be interested in a video that went into the custom process in more depth. How long it took, how many meetings with the builder, cost of custom vs standard etc.
Daniel Lyons it took about 9 months but we stuffed them around and so did the survey process. They knocked out two in the same time. We met about once a month and they gave us a login to the security camera so we could check in anytime. Everyday from our phone. Custom vs standard is an impossible question depending on what you want. Oscar from BME NQ is the best person to call re price if you have a rough idea of what you want. 0415 634 394. They’ve made a few for the NT charter industry lately and can ship anywhere. We may do a more comprehensive vid now we know it’s of interest. Cheers.
Daniel Tolomeo hi mate. GARMIN are leaders in the field at the moment and I wouldn’t recommend anything else. If you complete this inquiry form we can have Paul contact you with a Garmin alternative. Www.ryanmoodyfishing.com/fishfinders/
Paul G yeah mate we stand on the storage lids at the back and is very comfortable. Don’t do much bait fishing anyway. We needed it higher to get to the motor and so we can skip baits for marlin.
Ben Philippi yep it’s just a different surface. I don’t coat with polyester resin first like on the ply - that’s just to help seal the timber. On the aly I just roughed up the surface with a heavy sander, cleaned it with solvent and applied the thickened tinted flow coat over the top. Note : don’t do it on super humid hot days. It took two weeks to fully dry and I was very worried. My suggestion go over a little bit on your catalyst mixture.
Darren Lakotic you’d have to chat with Oscar from BME NQ as it’s cheaper to have a recreational vessel compared to commercial. 0415 634 394. It’s also very variable depending on what you get E.g. we have three sounders which many people wouldn’t get. You can make it cheaper by fitting it out yourself.
Hi Ryan, How has the flow coat held up? I am looking at doing similar in my current boat. Did you apply straight to the deck itself or sheets of alloy that you have placed on top of original floor like you had done in the past with the ply board? Thanks
Because it was custom it’s a bit hard to say coz bits and pieces came from everywhere and I didn’t really keep track but somewhere in the vicinity of $100K. You could do it cheaper of course. We have three fish finders on boat, panoptix transducers etc, water tank, 300 L of fuel. Plus extra foam as we use it remotely. Best bet contact Oscar from BMENQ in Cairns as he makes a lot of them and ships all round the country.
@@RyanMoodyFishing Spose it’s hard to find a dry centre/side/rear console hey I’ve now got a 6m fishseeker in side console and it’s every bit as dry as my old seaswirl striper centre console, if not better actually just not as quiet as the glass boat
Beautiful rig Ryan. BME sure turn out quality work.
Foam decking is called "Eva tread" supplied by Fibrefinish in Townsville for anyone wondering

Love Those Rod Holders!!!!!
Hey guys, do you plan on doing a follow up video on your boat? How its going, anything you would do different etc? Thanks
@@greenwattle will put it on the list. Thanks.
@@RyanMoodyFishing Thank you. Keen to hear how the flow coat on the alloy deck is going.

What happened to the big glass open boat with the tiller steer it was nice boat
Frogz 22 sold it. Bonito 5.6
Hi Ryan. That baitboard looks very high - about chest height (at 5:34). Is it stil useable at that height?
Paul G yeah mate we stand on the storage lids at the back and is very comfortable. Don’t do much bait fishing anyway. We needed it higher to get to the motor and so we can skip baits for marlin.
Very interested on how you did the flowcote on the aly. I've seen your flowcote on ply video is it exactly the same?
Ben Philippi me too and also in-depth product use.

@@RyanMoodyFishing Ryan, yes I like the look of the flow coat also. Would it be very durable with crab pots and cast net crashing into it?
Nice boat Ryan gotta be happy with that how much is something like that to have built

Are you running a 1kw transducer to find fish/rocks at speed?
Hi Mitchell. We don’t find fish at speed. If you take a look at our mini course we explain why. www.ryanmoodyfishing.com/sounder-skills-1-upgrade/
what length Motorguide is it? 60 or 72 inch?
got ame for it yet?
How much did that cost

Is it a dry boat?
Depends on how shit the weather is haha. Most of the time yeah.
