    I'm still convinced that Marcus would have been one of the best backs ever. Definitely one of the best I have ever gotten to watch with my own eyes. Man, what I would give to see him carry the ball just one more time...

    Disappointing never got to see him play for my niners for the pick we got him at even tho it didn't work out he was worth the risk he had the talent and character but at the very least he got paid for his time on the team and had insurance so good for him

    Can't wait to see this guy play in a Niners uniform. Hopefully, it will be next season. He's the second best running back on the roster right now. Forget Kendall Hunter, LaMichael James and Anthony Dixon. Both those guy can't carry a full load with Gore is done. A healthy Lattimore could.

    I got to watch Marcus in person when he played in the Swamp. He was incredible. He has always been my single favorite player that was not a Gator. All we need is one cut power backs in our system and thats what Lattimore is. :) So stoked we got him. Cant wait to see he and Carlos Hyde tote the rock for years to come!

    Lattimore is part of the future of the Niners.. earlier than sooner. Salary cap considerations and, the fact, that the Niners will need to shed some salaries to re-sign their young players... Iupati, Aldon Smith, Kaepernick, Hunter, Crabtree, Miller, T.Brown, etc... Cap casualties could possibly include.. Frank Gore. I know Niners fans don't want to hear it but that could be a possibility.

  • @NobbyKNobbs
    @NobbyKNobbs 11 років тому

    I doubt we'll see him play in a game this season. The best for him is to practice for 3 weeks with the team after he comes off the NFI/PUP list and then placing him on season ending IR. Next season is when we'll have a healthy and rested Lattimore and we can see what he has.

    I love Latti just as much as the next guy, but Davis is a hell of a back who deserves all of our respect - I think he's doing a damn fine job replacing Latti's production so far. I don't think his intangibles stack up to Marcus, but his production is outstanding.

    Great guy....I was at the Gamecocks vs Vols game when he went down. That stadium was dead silence you can hear a pin drop. He's an emotional player. That scar on his knee. New start, I know Frank was a great mentor to Marcus. He bounce back from a gruesome injury....Marcus can also. New Stadium and new era, 49ers. They don't call it a comeback!!!

  • @grahamshelton3448

    The way he ran. It was a different type of person. Id also like to add, ehen we were that team( far superior, other than not having cam newton) Kentucky made the games hard as fuck. I love south carolina gamecocks, and have grown to love the wildcats. Just not as much. Well, nowhere near. And fuck Tennessee for that play. They were playing dirty the entire game.

  • @ecesperante
    @ecesperante 10 років тому

    I've loved me some Frank Gore for a LONG TIME, but it's obvious the younger Marcus Lattimore needs to be the primary back next season. He's more talented than his fellow rookie classmen Eddy Lacy, Leveon Bell and Giovani Bernard.
    Frank will still be useful being the Robin to Lattimore's Batman of course, but the torch must be passed.

  • @zeppelin1566
    @zeppelin1566 10 років тому

    This guy will be a first down producing, red zone efficient back for the 49ers. Reminds me of Frank Gore when he was at Miami...Not overly impressive straight line speed, but breaking defenders ankles for 10-20 yards on a regular will not be an issue, especially with how talented the 49er O-Line is.

    Too bad his knee couldn't hold up, looked up that injury and was a nasty as you will ever see. It was a cheap shop to boot, I go low all the time when I play against a larger guy, but would either trip him up, or drive through the thigh/ hip area. That cheap shot went directly into his knee dooming his career. Good he took out that insurance policy with good choices he can still live a comfortable life.

    • @cheekypasta55
      @cheekypasta55 10 років тому +1

      As a Niners fan, the only teams I truly hate are the Seahawks and Cowboys, and I join in on the country hating on the Pats just cuz its fun haha. Ive never been a fan of the Rams but wouldnt hate them, idk why you would hate us, despite us being in the division, just saying. Youre entitled to your opinion. That said, thanks for the respect, and same to you with Quinn, Long, and at one point Jackson, but hes in the Falcons now. Even though Im not a Rams fan, I felt disrespected by him leaving the Rams and joining the falcons just to be on a "good" team. Look how that turned out haha. Im sure if he had stayed with the Rams this year, even with Clemons at QB, every team in the NFC couldve finished with a winning record! Good luck to you guys next year, our matchups dont always look flashy on paper but the NFC West is the best in the NFL and no divisional games can be overlooked. Hawks are champs, Niners will be waiting to slam the door shut on them, Cards are hungrier than ever, and Rams are a QB away from having contending team. Your defense is awesome and I really wish you beat the Hawks that one time when they sacked Wilson like 7 times. They deserved that game. Stacy at RB is a rising star, Austin is looking more promising. Id be pretty excited if I were you!

    For those of you guys who know Lattimore...the highlights just in this vid show some great running, juking, and faking, as well as speed really great stuff but the NFL is a big jump and all the gaps are much tighter and thats what's made Gore so amazing is that he can find the smallest gaps with the right timing and clear through em..even when the line can't make em for him..does Lattimore have this skill as well?

      Supposedly Bowman ran a faster 40 then he recorded prior to his injury

      It doesn't effect speed at all. Maybe slightly but you can retain that easily . It's just the mental aspect, most players can't come back and plant the leg and make cuts like they use too. Very difficult to return and be the same player after injuries like this.

      Al Chino Bowman didn't just tear an ACL either. He tore his MCL and his ligaments.
      He's been working hard his entire life and this is just another obstacle.
