Is there a trick to using the timer? I preheat 10 minutes and the timer goes off fine. But when I set the timer to bake at whatever minutes, the timer doesn't move or make a ticking sound. We ended up buying a portable timer to use.
Nola U usaly these top timer you have to turn past 20 and back to time you want and if more time cooking then past and back to your time if don't fix timer probably broken
Nola U this seems to be a problem with alot black and Decker toaster ovens as ive look at two old school non digital model's at Wal-Mart ive looking at a oster convection toaster oven model tssttvdfl 2. At Wal-Mart has a 5years warranty looks very well made and knobs don't stick
Hello. I recently bought this toaster oven and I have no idea. I bought to eat a little more healthi and seems like a good idea. But I don't understant how to bake for example. Instructions are a little confusing. The other day I wanted to make chicken parmesan, so I did all the process, went to bake it but I guess I did not do it correctly. How do I bake something in thia oven? You mention baking cycle and it kind of open my eyes to something but can you explain a little more how to use the functions?

I know this video is almost 3 years old...but I still want to express my gratitude for your review. It's helping me choose an oven from an overwhelming list of options and prices on the market. This will be a great Christmas present. Thank YOU!!!
I'm late seeing this video but I just received this model as a Father's Day gift from my wife. I read the limited directions several times then said to myself, go to youtube (as usual) and find some practical information. Thanks...your video is helpful. Be well.
LOL, cute "I'm a messy person". You've shielded yourself from the internet trolls! All stainless steel when used throughout time starts to look ugly no matter how much you clean it. I LOVE the simple clean lines of this oven and that it looks like a toaster oven not the wacky designs out there. I just bought it on Amazon since my current toaster oven's digital display is malfunctioning. Thanks for a closer look, loving it already!
Thank you for the video. My gas ranges oven died and can't afford the repairs right now. So wanted something cheap to last me until I get the oven repaired or a whole new range. I wanted something that he a 9x13 casserole dish. But every model they had in my local store couldn't handle the casserole dish I grabbed from the dish aisle. Going to order this model online asap.
Thank you for your review. I got one. It lacked a user's manual and I couldn't figure out one piece that turned out to be the drip pan at mark 3:05. Good review and good idea about the foil. Thanks
Thank you, I have the TO3210SSD, 6 slice version. The three knobs (top down) oven function, oven timer, toast timer. This unit and the one I have does have convection (fan) and turns on in oven setting. I suggest use lowest rack, reduce oven temp and time for cooking AND keep watch to avoid burning food! If you set top knob to toast, use bottom knob to control how dark you want your toast. If you set top knob to broil or cooking temp, use second knob for timer. Yes, there are two knobs for timer for two different tasks.
Thank you so much I had my toaster oven for two weeks and I couldn’t figure out how to turn it on, your a life savor. I’m literally 19 😂😂 in my college dorm and trying to cook my pizza rolls and couldn’t turn it on thank you thank you thank you thank you
You are Awesome! I could not figure out how the crumb tray fit in. Thank-you!!! I just bought mine and I think it looks rich looking I love it! Thank-you again!!! 💕
I too am confused about the bottom rack. Does it go upward or downward? The groves seem to used either way. I like your usage instructions. I have the six slicer. A very good toaster oven and air fryer. I highly recommend it.
I've had mine for 6 years (all black nobs) and still works great! The numbers for the timer have rubbed off a bit but after 6 years you know where the 5 minute intervals are anyway. I never pre heat I just add another 5 or 10 mins and check food at the minimal time.. Not even thinking about buying an extra gadget (airfryer) This does the same thing being convection oven. Don't jump on the band wagon and use up counterspace for an AIRFRYER! You already have an AIR FRYER!!
I hope the reviewer still monitors this thread because I have a question about the convection feature I just bought the newer version of this oven but the knobs look the same on it. I don't understand how to use the convection feature. I see the convection setting and I see 2 different sets of temperatures. I'm assuming that the set of temperatures that go up to 450 are for regular baking but how does the convection part work? Sorry to seem so stupid but I couldn't find the answer in the very limited set of instructions.
thanks for the review .. I just got mine a couple days ago....one thing I noticed in the manual is the warning not to cover the rack or tray with foil as this can cause overheating.. just wanted to let others know , maybe you can add a disclaimer to the review. it may be ok .. but better safe than sorry
Yes, I just ordered this same toaster oven (I'm still waiting for it to arrive) and I have also read NOT to cover the racks, expecially the drip tray, with tin foil as this will cause overheating and heat malfunction with the unit. However, it IS okay to line a baking pan or cover what you are cooking with tin foil as long as the foil does not touch the walls of the oven. HAS ANYONE ELSE COME ACROSS THIS ISSUE WITH THE TIN FOIL??? Lare
Now I know how to make mine come on and stay on . I do not need the timer . I do really like the oven . I was afraid to turn knobs backwards till I saw you do it . Thanks for the help .
I just got one exactly like this frm Amazon. Thanks for the video, I too was trying to figure out where to put the drip tray. The manual says not to cover trays with foil BUT I covered the trays and even used foil with food with my previous toaster oven(De Longhi) that I had for 15 years..since 2004 and I never had any problems so I am planning to continue the practice, it helps with cleaning. Good job with the video!
But is it safe to use a pyrex or ceramic type of baking dish or pieplate in it, what about a sil-pad? I have the Black&Decker TO3265XSSD on the way this Friday 04.08.2022.
Does this bake bread, cookies, pies, etc., well and thoroughly, without burning the tops and bottoms...?...i don't know if the regular size of this oven would be better for that, as their shelves seem a little different...i would prefer the extra wide though...Thank you...
Thank you! Good review. Just ordered one from Walmart Canada. Not sure if I paid a lot but am willing to pay $80 + tax Canadian because it takes 15" tray.
Good on YOU for this information...Just now setting up my new one, & could not figure out what you called "the tabs" on the rack were for... NOW, thanks to you, I understand...Thanks so much.😊
Thanks for a great informative video. My only concern is when it comes to making actual toast. In my experience the larger toaster ovens tend to make crisp dry toast that you can almost snap in half. Is that the case with this model?
Great review thanks - BTW this should come with an air fry basket (ideal to also do the toast in)..AND a negative is that you can't set the temp on the air fry (I think?) - cheers
Have you had eney problems with timer and other nobs sticking on over our under heating were food don't cook or door handle melting off or glass door shattering or convention fan very loud or the unit just stop working please respond now thanks
Product Reviewer how long have you had your oven I've looked up on Wal-Mart and they only have a newer or different model to3250xsb similar to yours but a black background around nobs ps will a full size digiorno pizza fit and door close and it not touch door glass as heat can cause glass door shattering and using aluminum foil all over inside as usaly in the front were warned about safety as this will cause overheating and door shattering there's a video on UA-cam just look up black and Decker glass door shattering you'll see as for full size frozen digiorno pizza what rack level have you found work's best some have sead burn toppings but leaves pizza raw ps is your model well constructed and very cheap light wait and cheep all over construction as some have sead thanks for letting me know your model nobs don't stick exspehsly in the stay on were would be a fire hazard I've seen two black and Decker model to3250xsb and the 6slice toaster convection oven pictured with two pizza in it and black and Decker has had lawsuits from the government about issues with their toaster ovens be careful ps always unplug incase when not in use as most toaster ovens manual recommend take care be careful God bless
What does the middle knob actually do? I mean, the temp & time are covered by the other two knobs. Do they change the ratio of heat from above and below or something? I honestly don't know the difference between baking and broiling.
If your using the lower rack chances are you will have something very large and heavy, it is a very good safety feature so the consumer does not have to pick it up on the floor and worse yet burn the operator on its way to the floor.
I would like to add the temperature guide on the oven isn't accurate to the actual temp in the oven. I bought a four dollar oven thermometer at Walmart and now I am very pleased with the baking results. Cookies excepted.
Interesting. I've not had any issues, and cleanup is a breeze. I will never not be without foil! :) But if you don't feel safe doing it I certainly think you should do what makes sense to you.
I have made a pizza in this before but recently the top is done but the bottom is kinda soggy yet anyone know if it's the heating lamps on the bottom bc it doesn't light up just heats it and anyone know if that's a replacement part
Why not get the biggest one? Because you have other small appliances or kitchen widgets that you use often enough to need counter space for them too. Plus, so close to the stove, you will tend to get splatter on the left side of the oven while cooking with the stove, and have worse access to the right side rear burner. I would have moved it a few inches to the right, with just enough clearance to access the wall socket. Their 6 slice narrower version with pretty much the same design otherwise, does come in a stainless outer shell version, TO3210SSD. It's the same depth, just around 4" narrower (as expected, one slice of toast narrower), still fits a large pizza due to the hump in the back.
Ps all toaster ovens heat faster so adjust time to 10-15less as she did beware of cooking to long lick a hour or longer may course glass door to brake ps always remove food after bell rings as the toaster still hot and will burn food or open to allow to cool after bell rings don't tap or hit glass as wile hot may cause to brake ps look in owner's manual under safety usaly in front thy say don't use aluminum foil as will cause overheating and fire or door shattering there are video on UA-cam proving that
Foil shiny side down/dull side up unless you want to burn out your oven faster. You'll shorten its lifespan reflecting the heat and causing it to get hotter than it is designed for. (advice from the manufacturer says don't use any in the oven but that didn't make any sense to me.
Hola, estoy igual, me acabo de comprar uno. No entiendo cómo es la función hornear, si hay que poner la perilla en hornear o solo seleccionar la temperatura
Covering any part of the inside of the oven with metal (including aluminum foil) is a NO NO, as it can cause the oven to overheat and possibly start a fire. This information is listed under the important safeguards instructions.
You're not supposed to use foil according to the manual because it gets too hot and the notch is because, they want you to slide the tray to get the food out instead of reaching inside to get the food out. lmao. This is a video on all the things NOT TO DO with your toaster oven. Also, never put anything on top of the oven, ever. Good times. Read the manual!
I just ordered this same toaster oven (I'm still waiting for it to arrive) and I have also read NOT to cover the racks, expecially the drip tray, with tin foil as this will cause overheating and heat malfunction with the unit. Getting bad reviews on walmart, I wish there was a LAW no 5 star reviews allowed until you have owned the product for 90 days. The longer a new great product like this is out, the more likely we learn it isn't so great after all.
My daughter and I have owned this model for over a year. I wouldn't want to be without it. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my B&D Convection Toaster Oven. I have had nothing go wrong with it. I would give it 5 Stars.
I'm kind of lazy too. I tried reading the instructions but kept falling asleep.............hold on............the bell just went off. Crap, I burnt my pot pie. Ok, back to the video.
I don't understand the Convection feature. If you turn the knob to Convection you simultaneously cannot select the temperature you want for it. Have you used the convection function (for baking, roasting)? If so, how did it turn out?
Black and Decker warranty warning don't cover glass door and if your toaster is defective you have to pay to return cord and pay for black and Decker to send a replacement that's like buying a new car and warranty not covering the engine no warranty at all always look at every part of items and reviews and do your homework before buying and look at warranty before buying
I've been using this daily since February of 2017. Do you have any specific questions about how it cooks? We use it primarily for reheating leftovers, making frozen pizzas and chicken nuggets and we also make grilled cheese sandwiches in it.
I have this oven. It has it good and bad. Whenever I bake meats in it , it’s Seems to take longer than my old regular toaster oven with the Rotisserie. The air fryer take a while too but this was my first time using a air fryer.
Warring to all countering black and Decker toaster ovens you get no warranty if defective you have to pay to return cord and send a$799 check for them to return replacement that's not a warranty plus black and Decker warranty don't cover glass door by oster thy cover everything
Beware black and Decker has poor customer service and if need warranty repair you have go to nearest black and Decker repair shop or ship at your cost return oster will send you a return label and replace with new same model or better seas so in 1-5warranty pluse look at this model door no protective frame around just glass there is a black and Decker 6slice toaster oven on Wal-Mart that dose have a frame around glass some people say door after cooking brakes i pray this don't have to eney body
What is up with the timer it does not make that ticking sound and because of this I dont like this product. I want to cook my chicken and relax with having to watch my clock.
Is there a trick to using the timer? I preheat 10 minutes and the timer goes off fine. But when I set the timer to bake at whatever minutes, the timer doesn't move or make a ticking sound. We ended up buying a portable timer to use.
Hmm, sounds like you might have gotten a defective unit. I do not have that same issue.

Just don't put a cast iron pan in it.
Girl! You are not alone. I’m the same way. I use foil every time I use my toaster oven. Easy clean up. And no burnt on mess. 😜

Thank you for making this review. After watching your review, I have ordered one online. I look forward to using it!
Got this for christmas and i love it.
watching reviews to learn all about it as well
Very informative. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

there are many videos on this model but none showing actual cooking results ?
Just it for Christmas thanks for video, did toast this morning was really fast can't wait to try cc's a 12 inch pizza

and also, I often used the top to keep food warm or warm up dishes while the toaster oven was being used. Never had problems with that either
Just bought one today. So is this a air fryer ? Does convection the same thing?
But is it safe to use a pyrex or ceramic type of baking dish or pieplate in it, what about a sil-pad? I have the Black&Decker TO3265XSSD on the way this Friday 04.08.2022.
Does this oven make a lot of noise? Saw some reviews and they said it was loud .. Thanks!
the small pan is a crumb/drip catcher, and can is fitted to slide under the grill rack! Just got mine yesterday and read that!
I recently my 8 slice oven a week ago and it came with a broken bulb at the back. How can I source a new bulb?
Okay the small tray is a drip pad that goes underneath the rack you'll see the tabs that slides into
Good on YOU for this information...Just now setting up my new one, & could not figure out what you called "the tabs" on the rack were for... NOW, thanks to you, I understand...Thanks so much.😊
How do you use the convection feature?
when you use bake it automatically uses the convection
i have the same one and this makes a real bad smell... does yours smell bad when its on?
No, not had those problems.

Hi, love it, quick question what the specific set up to make the top and bottom side heating?
I was reading the instruction manual and it stated not to use foil and may cause overheating? any problems with foil so far?
What does the middle knob actually do? I mean, the temp & time are covered by the other two knobs. Do they change the ratio of heat from above and below or something? I honestly don't know the difference between baking and broiling.
Middle knob is the time set for the oven. Bottom knob is for the toasting doneness features. The top knob is for temperature setting for the oven.
I have the same problem.
OMG, want some cheese with that wine?
If your using the lower rack chances are you will have something very large and heavy, it is a very good safety feature so the consumer does not have to pick it up on the floor and worse yet burn the operator on its way to the floor.
I would like to add the temperature guide on the oven isn't accurate to the actual temp in the oven. I bought a four dollar oven thermometer at Walmart and now I am very pleased with the baking results. Cookies excepted.
This is due to the advanced heating elements. Check your manual. It is explained right above toasting instruction.
Wow I just got my mom one for 50 bucks this year it’s this same one and it comes with 2 racks I’m glad. I just don’t know what’s good to cook in it
Anything really. Frozen meals, especially pizzas, are what we use it for primarily.
How do I turn it off for I just unplug it ?
BLACK+DECKER Have you updated PAN SIZE since this video?
The instructions with mine says NOT to cover tray with foil as iit make the oven too hot.
Can u fit a frozen pizza in it???

Can I bake pizza n lasagne in it
yes provided your pizza is not larger than a "tombstone" and your lasagne pan fits.
Mine is incredibly noisy. Does everyone else have the same problem?
I have a Willsence 4 slice that is a Breville clone. It's fan is extremely quiet.
nope
I'm Looking to buy this product can you Tell me if you have made bread in it? Would a loaf pan fit it?
I just bought one of these for my new place, what is the largest pizza size you can do in this oven. My 12 inch pizza tray won’t fit
You must have a different version. I use mine weekly for 12" pizzas.
Foil shiny side down/dull side up unless you want to burn out your oven faster. You'll shorten its lifespan reflecting the heat and causing it to get hotter than it is designed for. (advice from the manufacturer says don't use any in the oven but that didn't make any sense to me.
Si pueden poner subtitulos y por favor
I have this toaster oven but it is not heating at the bottom.
Hi! Did you solve the problem?

This is a video on all the things NOT TO DO with your toaster oven. Also, never put anything on top of the oven, ever. Good times. Read the manual!
Everyone uses foil with these ALL of them because of the cleaning
The instructions say to not use aluminum foil 😐😑
Maybe the foil is fine if it's cut exactly to the inside of the drip pan rather than wrapped around the edges.
instructions for convection use?
This model discontinued replacement to3250xsb
I just ordered this same toaster oven (I'm still waiting for it to arrive) and I have also read NOT to cover the racks, expecially the drip tray, with tin foil as this will cause overheating and heat malfunction with the unit. However, it IS okay to line a baking pan or cover what you are cooking with tin foil as long as the foil does not touch the walls of the oven.
HAS ANYONE ELSE COME ACROSS THIS ISSUE WITH THE TIN FOIL???
Lare
I have never had an issue. I have always used tin foil in this and every other one I've owned! :)
hows the unit treating you?
Can u cover your food with foil or cook in an foil pan?
Yes
The directions clearly state ur is a fire hazard to cover the drip pan with foil?
Getting bad reviews on walmart, I wish there was a LAW no 5 star reviews allowed until you have owned the product for 90 days. The longer a new great product like this is out, the more likely we learn it isn't so great after all.
I still have this toaster oven, and I still love it. It still works as great as day one.
My daughter and I have owned this model for over a year. I wouldn't want to be without it. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my B&D Convection Toaster Oven. I have had nothing go wrong with it. I would give it 5 Stars.
it is 6 Slice Portable Oven. And, WHY Do Some People Believe Anything That Person in Position Of Authority Says is True, is Sometimes NOT True.
Hi I think you are missing a rack. I bought this 3 weeks ago at Walmart and it came with 2 racks. That would be how 8 slices of bred would fit in.
you may have a different model... 8 slices will easily fit on one rack with room to spare
I bought one tonight and it only came with one rack but I see in the parts list I can order another.
I'm kind of lazy too. I tried reading the instructions but kept falling asleep.............hold on............the bell just went off. Crap, I burnt my pot pie. Ok, back to the video.
First of all having things covered up with foil will produce more heat and may cause a fire Please read the instructions.
Ok but how do you turn it on???
Plug it in, then set the timer knob and it starts.
Is it broken
I don't understand the Convection feature. If you turn the knob to Convection you simultaneously cannot select the temperature you want for it. Have you used the convection function (for baking, roasting)? If so, how did it turn out?
There is no convection feature on this model that I have. You are referring to a different toaster oven than the one I reviewed here.
It says "convection" in your video title.
It would have been good, to have seen you cooking in it
I've been using this daily since February of 2017. Do you have any specific questions about how it cooks? We use it primarily for reheating leftovers, making frozen pizzas and chicken nuggets and we also make grilled cheese sandwiches in it.
I know you can cook chicken, chicken nuggets, hamburgers etc
I have this oven. It has it good and bad. Whenever I bake meats in it , it’s Seems to take longer than my old regular toaster oven with the Rotisserie. The air fryer take a while too but this was my first time using a air fryer.
This isn't an air fryer model !
HI again I have a different model. T03000
That's the Terminator new series
What is up with the timer it does not make that ticking sound and because of this I dont like this product. I want to cook my chicken and relax with having to watch my clock.
That is just a part of this oven. Sounds like this one is not right for you.
video sucks, nothing on convection use
