I hope Unbound doesn't disappoint and really, really hope EA doesn't abandon this game like Heat.
Heat was amazing
Nah they won’t. I can already tell they have plans to sell those fancy effects for extra $$$$$$$$$$$
@@ViPER5RT10 nah im pretty sure they wont if youve played heat, no microtransactions in that game except like one dlc for like 5 dollars which i think they gave out completely for free recently. Never thought I was gonna say this but after that EA lawsuit they have not been that greedy as they once used to be, if you compare their monetization schemes vs ubisoft and blizzard they are like 5x times better lol
@@slavi8433 never give them the benefit of the doubt. Heat died exactly because EA couldn’t monetize it further.
@@ViPER5RT10 mostly because ghost games was dissolved, at least criterion is taking lead which tbh are an actual competent team, it took how many years for ghost games to make one good need for speed game
also heat recently got more than 100k players which was never seen before so i wouldnt really say ea couldnt monetize it
When you can't compare the realism with other racing games, you can simply make a completely different style. The coolness away from reality has always been the true meaning of Need for Speed.
perfect description of EA's thinking process
Except for characters and few vehicle effects, the game is still trying to be realistic!
Why Shill? You blind or something?
235 likes in 12 minutes? Are you an EA bot?
They never have went for realism like ever that's never been what need for speed was about lol..
depends on your definition of realism because nothing on games is realism
Chased by 7 cops at one point but you can see the indicators for the cops differ depending on the unit that's chasing
I hope they aren’t the rogue task force
I really wish they didn't show which units are present, it makes any form of challenge too easy - not a fan of it.
Now THIS is what I’m talking about! A sensible hype schedule, no stringing us along for 3 years, and a gameplay video months before release date!
More games gotta start doing this again.
@Bully peter shut up
You shot Overwatch fr
They can do it because they have a release every couple of years. Not all game developers have that luxury
Honestly, games get announced and the devs don't talk about them for a year or more. It's really a drag.
I Hope they but more effort in this one i Hope it comes Out good
It Looks so sketchi and Childish
Lets Hope for the best
If the franchise is gonna introduce pedestrians after almost 30 years, you know it's gonna be a good one
they only found the pedestrian models in the engine today
I actually want to see pedestrians walking round through the city
Pedestrians have been around in the games from Payback.
The devs went outside and realised people walk around.
YES THAT'S IT JUST CONSOOM DON'T BE SCEPTICAL AND QUESTION THE GAME'S QUALITY PUBLISHED BY THE WIDELY KNOWN WORST COMPANY IN AMERICA WITH THEIR RECENT BLUNDER THAT IS 2042
The Intro scene with the torii gate immediately reminded me of Underground 1. I love how this city looks, also the harbor scene got that Prostreet vibe. And the pedestrians aswell... Really like how this looks. If the cops are as tough as they try to portray, this is gonna be one hell of a NFS game!
It is thé dame game as allways a shitty game
I hope to god the police don't get nerfed like heat.
The city is inspired in my hometown, Chicago 🎉
@@somerandomdude2085 yeah, that was awful I miss hard police
@@somerandomdude2085 then y'all shouldn't of complain
The calendar system shown in this trailer looks like it will help keep the gameplay interesting. It's an idea I've thought they should implement into a need for speed game for years
I just hope it will be in-game days and not real time days like it's a f2p game
Yeah, They will abandon it in 5 months.
@@JenGM24 i pissed myself mommy
4 weeks seems short
@@laynehekter7947 i have not made kaka for 4 weeks
This looks amazing! Please don’t let us down need for speed. This game could live on for years!
Bot comment
Modern NFS living on for years? It's EA, do not ever get your hopes up with EA.
"Don't let us down!"
The state of mainstream gaming
@@falcongamer58 Yeah when did we go from basically guaranteed bangers from huge studios to - "Please multi milion studio do not let us down this time :("
EA doesn't have good track records when it comes to live services of games
ok so can i play now pls
Looks like a mobile game, specifically Asphalt and CarX
This game really is looking great. The only thing that worries me now is the controls. I play every racing game with a manual transmission but hate shifting with the shoulder buttons. Unfortunately that is the scheme Need for Speed games have used in recent years and there hasn't been an option for customizable controls in a while. Hope they add that for Unbound.
Dude, they are bringing back (once again and for nobody's surprise) the ugly Brake-2-Drift gameplay, I highly doubt they changed anything but the visuals
@@VanWolf I thought you could turn it off in heat
@@VanWolf source?
@@jayjaygolden5123 this video.
@@VanWolf Yeah that's something I was hoping would go away but the car is sliding around corners in every trailer. I would guess it's safe to say it's back again. Unfortunately that brake/stomp to drift mechanic makes the game impossible to play on wheel/pedals for me personally. Really is a shame but I assume most people liked it so they kept it. Heat was still a fun game imo but I would rather not use a controller if I have a sim rig. Lol
I really wish they showed some gameplay where they’re not transitioning to a new scene every 5 seconds
It’s NFS HEAT 2.0 Look the gameplay and the inmortal cops like heat
finally a car game that is original
Brake to drift again 😢
I'm really impressed with these graphics and gameplay and I loved how this new style of car customizations are very aggressive and unique, I'm totally hyped for this game
For once, the game stands out from the other Ghost NFS games. The art style, the features, it really feels like it got its own identity.
@@intotheverse3363 s3
Uh. Can't say I agree on the graphics tbh. Night lighting looks incredibly flat and dated.
Lets just hope they add content frequently unlike heat
@@RAZINSI I was thinking the same thing. Night graphics a bit underwhelming. Hoping it's just the colorgrading they done on the video footage. The day scene look way better.
honestly , i like seeing people walking , it makes city alive , something that were missing in need for speed
Who cares about people walking around
@@Xander_Park it’s a very subtle difference and it makes sense why wouldn’t a city like chicago not have pedestrians?
@@unclevanessa2838 you cannot kill them
Pedestrians were especially needed in Forza Horizon, but looking forward to Test Drive Solar Crown for extra immersion.
ummm yea? it’s a racing game not gta. if midnight club can do it so can gta
This gives me NFS Underground on GameCube vibes, finally getting back to that classic arcade feel and I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m very excited about a Need For Speed release. My favorite racing series growing up.
For heat being such an apparent failure that ghost games was shuttered, this is looking an awfully lot like heat in some makeup
Midnight Club & Burnout have a kid. Nice.
Every trailer that came out I’ve watched it more than 10 times. I can’t be the only one.
The editing on them is just so slick.
that chinatown spot is probs the closest we gonna get nfs in japan 💀
My man
Carbon had an area that is practically the same thing
@@Chancierbump but im not talking about the past, im talking about if we are ever gonna get a japan nfs game
Aaah, the NFS heat 2
For those that are wondering: That dope soundtrack is Moksi - Shout Like.
HOLY HELL THAT CROWN VICTORIA, i love the customizations already
I was already gonna use the Vic in this game but DAMN does that bodykit reinforce my decision
My jaw dropped when i saw the CrownVic
I couldnt tell but it sounded like a rotary crown vic lol
DUDE that Crown Vic looks so sick I'm getting one as my main cop chase car that's gonna be so fun
Trailer looks good, I'm cautiously optimistic.
Keep at it, a lot of us are really looking forward to a good NFS.
Please don't do something stupid and kill it, like shitty monetization or paywalling. Fingers crossed :)
Settle for anything and you get anything. Seems like heat with visuals.
The atmosphere reminds of a lot of 2015 and UG1-2, the gameplay at day reminds me of pro street especially the dock area which makes me excited asf
I have the Theory that 2015 was a sort of Underground R
And that unbound is actually underground 3
@@rippy4260 UnBound isn’t UG3, didnt they already confirm that they said it isn’t? And 2015 was almost named UnderGround 3 but for obvious reasons it wasn’t, which is most likely why we never got an actual name for NFS 2015
The graphics and special effects give me Pro Street vibes honestly, with an Underground setting.
Atmosphere of 2015? Are you serious?
Criterion has a massive track record with making banger racing games. I hope they can add to that collection here.
Burnout is one. The collection ends there.
@Name You mean Most Wanted 2012? It's not even comparable with the original.
@Name You know that NFS 2012 is titled Most Wanted too right?... That's all it shared with 2005, because it was a flop.
@Name that's what I thought lol.
Looks cool and all, I got high hopes for this since it's a criterion game but if it somehow ends up with Ghost type driving physics it is never going to see my money
They said the physics are like heat lol game is going to be trash..the sheep hype is thru the roof
@@americanmack30 I personally liked Heat a lot.
Subjectivity and different opinions are a thing, y'know?
You guys so far aced the aestetic of the game, the trailers and the game visual. congrats!
If the car customizations for most cars are this crazy we’re in for a good one. I never even thought of customizing a crown Vic and now they got me wanting to drive one lol
Man, I was not expecting it to look as good as it did here. I mean I was always digging the cel shaded look in the characters but the rest of the game looks to be the most visually pleasing out of any of the previous titles in the last four years.
I feel that they have integrated the anime effects very well, so much so that it even seems natural and does not look invasive
@@manuelmxtlm7987 anime? Bro, stfu💀
I love it when people want game companies to innovate, and when they do, they always have something to complain about
I’m not even gonna lie that crown vic body kit is hard asf. I wasn’t expecting that
Forza might have the handling and physics right, but maaaaan, the customization on this series remains unbeaten. Can't wait to experience it.
Froza grahics too
Forza smokes this flashy turd
@@IvanOfficial96 Graphics don't matter.
Customization EXCEPT the Vinyl/Decal/Wrap department. That part has been extremely janky on Frostbite Engine NFS games, at least under Ghost. If Criterion can smoothen that out to Forza or GT7 levels good, then we're talking.
@@americanmack30 exactly
I don't wanna loose immersion looking at people with those effects. They said you can disable them, but nobody knows if you can disable them system-wide or just in your car.
I can't even watch this with all that squiggly art
0:28 Take a good look inside this car, will you be able to modify the cars interior? benches and cage? 👀
So far I really liked the new NFS, looking forward to playing.
parece que sim, igão.
Still waiting for a game thats better than Most Wanted 2005. 17 years going strong.
Already pre ordered let's goooo
Man! can't wait to play this game. Such a beautiful atmosphere and gameplay and the cars. Keep it up EA.
We need another Underground !!
I probably won’t keep effects on for long, but it’s cool that they added them. I hope this plays better than heat, especially in terms of how aggressive the cops are when you’re a low level.
I also hope there’s a beta.
Yeah the effects are gonna be tiring to look at after five sessions
Yeah, I probably won't use all of them, but I will use them.
0:16 Is that 2 HELICOPTERS??
I never thought id see the day. Imagine if they were programmed like in mw 05 where they could actually try to fly into you when the area is clear! I doubt that would happen, but the cops seem promising. I just hope that they are actually Really REALLY hard to escape and put some Fear into you.
Finally some Chicago love 🤟🏾
Ghetto chi raq
Hell yeah this looks phenomenal, brings me back memories from Most Wanted
This game looks so fun man. This was a day-one purchase for me until i found out its $70.
It's free on Xbox tho
@@dandanger5637 it's not tho
@@dandanger5637Can't make a new game free, they gotta profit somehow.
@@SpriteIsSpicyWater ever heard of Gamepass?
@@dandanger5637 It's a subscription, so you don't own the games when it runs out hence why it's not free. You are still in need of paying for something to gain access to the game
One thing people don't seem to be talking about is character customization. NFS Heat's was really barebones, basically just had presets that you could change the clothes and hair on. I'd love to see this go further and let us change body proportions, eye color, skin color, etc. Heck even letting us change the colors on the clothes.
who cares, it's a racing game, not dressing simulator
@@digitalprofile1320 true but if you're going to make customization and expressing yourself a key part of experience, atleast make it more robust?
@@jash274 It seems like the whole part of the game is "expressing yourself", and you know what? that's okay, i'm okay with that, but there's no need to make it really complicated, this is only a racing game, but i agree on the whole part, if there will be multiplayer, and players having different avatars, that would be cool, like garage meetup from fast & furious tokyo drift.
Is this the Sims or Need For Speed?
@@daggerkettenring It is need for speed, and not sims, but you know, i kinda like the tokyo meetups on youtube, they looks so cool, and i wish some sort of multiplayer lobby could be like that too, i think it would add a lot to the game and you could interact with people as well. people could "drive" into the lobby, park their car or swap it on the get go, and people could create their own races, and invite others, and here the whole betting thing comes in, as spectators, you could bet on who will win.
Looks like Heat 2.0
in b4 EA abandons this like everything else.
Now that I can see the gameplay in full quality. I'm even more hyped.
OG need to play game like underground2, next level tuning and car physics
love it!!!
Everything looks good so far! What im worried about will be the handling
can't you see by the video what the handling is like? arcade.
looks so good 👍👍👍
I just noticed upon my 3rd watch that the open world is gonna have people walking around!!
The rain effects on the mustang @ 0:55 is insane!
IKR! Usually rain in nfs games looks good only in the night time but it actually looks really good in the day
Exactly! I thought I was only one of the few that realized that.
0:58 That fitment though
The more I see this art style with the music the lore it grows on me. The soundtrack better be like this
Honestly, the gameplay looks fun and sticks to the mechanics that make NFS great, and the graphics look good. Even the "Street art" actually doesn't look bad and gives it a unique charm that helps set it apart from the crowd, but it was a very smart decision to be able to turn it off (people are too hung up on it, it seems). I think it's promising!
I like that the option is there to turn it off. I personally really like the style of it but I was worried that it may be distracting when racing in 200mph+ races. But I'll have to play it to find out. I loved heat so I'm sure I'll love this too
@@jewljoel431 where is the option to turn it off at?
Nobody talking about the Crown Vic being in this. From a fellow panther driver, THANK YOU 🔥🔥🔥
feels like mw 2005's spiritual successor
bruh
This is cool but yall should have added the car from heat that yellow one
soundtrack + visuals + vibes = dope 💯 this is the needed Need For Speed definitely visited home with this...wild card bonus: house/dance music/edm for the win ✨🏆✨

NFS UNBOUND SHOULD RELEASE OFFICIAL PLAYLIST!!!!
Whoever upgraded that lotus.... Its clean af
Very intriguing trailer! Love the presentation they brought to the table. Looks promising. But if I've learned anything from gaming in this generation... I'll wait and see what people are saying a week after release.
Looks VERY promising! I'm even willing to overlook those fx 😂 Just please don't kill this game within six months of launch.
Say what you will about the Health bar being there again, from the looks of this, it seems like our cars are going to be more durable than they were in Heat.
Please make the vertigo-inducing dynamic camera optional on the settings. Keep it locked and steady ~30 degrees above and behind, set distance, wide FOV..
I like what i see. The map reminds me a lot of NFU map. Love it. Handling seems much better than anything after The Run. Just when i was giving up on NFS. I will give it one more try.
What do you see different in the handling bro
@E E ok special ed
I personally dislike how ridiculously fast police cruisers are in need for speed games. They somehow have the acceleration of a Lambo and the top end speed of a McLaren. Having the catch up system mechanics on them doesn't make the game fun, it makes it a chore.
Please for the love of god fix the physics
Please open the game for Russia . Ordinary citizens of Russia are not to blame for anything . Moreover , you will have more profit . I ask from the entire Russian community to unlock the game on steam. Please
Lol, alot of people loving the fact that they added pedestrians. Im wondering if knocking a cop into them can cause a takedown now :)
NFS 2015 is the best in the franchise (specially the graphics and atmosphere). I hope one day we see dynamic weather in a NFS game.
There was literally a van racing in the mustang cutscene 😂😂
I have never been so excited for a need for speed game in a long time. This looks so dope 😍
Very beautiful city, looks like a ton of customization too and the vibes look good. I think this might be the best NFS in a long while.
Wanna be Chicago it’s gonna be awesome
It’s Chicago. I wonder why they couldn’t name it like that, or name it “Windy City” (Which describes Chicago itself) considering the fact that NFS The Run used real locations with their real names, with Chicago included.
The run + midnight club + the crew 2 +anime
This is for Mobile?
Pink slip? Likes juiced 2 ps2
Reminds me of underground 2 and carbon can't go wrong .
This song is like a remix from carbon, I love it
I like how the Most replayed part of this trailer is the girl doing the lazy dance at 0:51
0:56 mitsubishi eclipse is back! I think i like where its heading
Saudade de quando a era Underground era um verdadeiro Need for speed, hoje virou um Hotwheels disfarçado!
I'm really hoping we could customize our speedometer again
How to destroy the reputation of NFS Heat in 1:26.....
Would be so cool if part of the storyline they do a call back to NFS The Run talking about a police car getting shot at by a heli.
the best part of this video was watching it without music
I’m super hyped for this one, haven’t been for a NFS in a while but this looks sooo fun
