I have a new home health client I've taken on that has written 10 children's books that are so good!! She just needs the editing, illustrations, and production done. She's 90 years old, and really wants to get this done. She has let me read them all, and she is an excellent storyteller!
My resolution for this year is to get my book going, and juggling an under 1 year old at the same time, try to prioritize it for myself so that when my boy is old enough he will be able to enjoy the story :)
Thanks Jules, really helpful advice, I've been working on my book for around 6 months, mainly painting the illustrations, New Years res is to get it finished...... then ill be looking for property in the Maldives Happy New Year...
This is great! Do you have a video on how to do the computer bit, getting the words onto the pictures? I can’t afford a course rn. But this video and the other one from you I just seen are huge helps. Thank you very much! If I were to do it all by hand then hand it over to a publisher, would they dislike that, or would they just go and put it in a more professional looking book? Ha, cause I don’t think I can make a sample book shelf ready. But drawing and writing I can handle. Thanks to these tips as well. Sorry if that’s a silly question… Side question that might be a weird one… How would you go about making little characters from the book into stickers or things like that? Would it need to go through he publisher for copyright or something, or could the author just make it and put it out there? 😅 just, covering the basis
Great information! I have my book written but the ages can range from 3 - 10 so some pictures are needed but not actually a picture book as the word count is more. This is my first book, what would you suggest? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hello - this age range is too wide - 3 year olds read very differently to 10yo. Have a look at my video on age ranges, it explains everything. Best of luck :) ua-cam.com/video/I8kuQfCkuuo/v-deo.html

I give it to you. You make creating art and writing children's books look so easy. Even videotaping.

Hi Dave! Hope all is ok :)
I have three books done and would love to learn what you charge as an artist for other writers? I love writing~
