9 years of being terrified of Freddy and his crew. It’s amazing to see the franchise grow from a small indie horror game to a household name of gaming.
It’s so funny how the revelation of Mimic being Burntrap somehow made his presence in the previous special age so well. He was literally blending in and no one realized it, allowing him to intact his secret plan, that will be revealed in a year from now.
I still don't think Mimic WAS burntrap considering how Afton is shown in the game's lore. "Trap" being the suffix to every appearance. Springtrap, Scraptrap, Glitchtrap, and Burntrap. Glitchtrap being a fragment of his soul, which as learned in sister location. Every piece of a possessed animatronic contain their soul, so a circuitboard could too. Though considering the mascot outfits lacking endos and being of pure cloth... My theory is the Mimic existed BEFORE the springlocks, possibly even before Fazbear bought Fredbear's from the original owner mentioned in FNAF 2 by phone guy. Possibly built by the OG owner prior to selling out, that resulted in him neglecting his son, said son dies in a car crash as a result, then the owner takes his rage out on the Mimic causing it to learn how to "kill". All this time it was just sitting in the side areas hidden, even Afton not knowing of it existing. It would slowly rebuild itself using parts it finds, last piece being that of Burntrap's left hand. Which probably fell after the blob attacked him in the Princess Quest timeline *No gregory to distract it, Afton would have been the sole target*
Somewhere out on the flipside I can see Scott smiling that even though he has retired, he still should be glad that his series is still staying strong to not just Steel Wool but also for all the fans still making it a cultural phenomenon. Scott if you are reading this thank you for everything on what made FNAF so special in the first hope you have a safe retirement, take care of your family, and I will see you on the flipside.

Multiple sequels and spinoffs, so much merch, so many talented artists (you included), so many books, and now a freaking movie coming in October. Time does really fly… Happy 9th Anniversary to FNAF! Being a fan I realized this isn’t going to last much longer even after the first movie and the two sequels to it are made. At least it won’t have any more games.
Taking last years Special and turning it into a teaser for a continuation with the Mimic is really cool. I'm excited to see where you take this next year! Also I can relate to pulling an all nighter, I think the Special turned out great though so hopefully you feel it was worth it :)
The Mimic will never be Burntrap for the sole reason that you can't just keep The Blob while making the Afton ending non canon via a drawing, NOBODY JUST MAGICALLY DRAWS SOMETHING EXACTLY ACCURATE HAVING NEVER F***ING SEEN IT BEFORE
I’m in love with your rendition of Burntrap. The goofiness of most of the characters (and Burntrap in the 8th anniversary) contrasts beautifully with the menace and threatening aura you gave Burntrap in 3 minutes. Something SB failed to do (though Ruin handled the Mimic nicely). Anyhow, this is just a rant on how I just love how you injected some of the series horror in such an effective villain buildup.
Despite what the FNAF franchise has endured, from the bad eggs, to creators making stupid decisions, and Security Breach being the FNAF game that people somewhat enjoyed, I still love the franchise as a whole. It’s people like TheHottest Dog that bring out the good side, and even theorists like IDs Fantasy, FuhNaff, and RyeToast that are great at theorizing. Overall, I’m amazed that FNAF is still going, and I’ll look back on this day when it’s 10 years old, and still be amazed. I’ll admit there are some moments where FNAF was bleak (Phisnom situation for example), but I know it doesn’t affect THE Fnaf franchise as a whole. I try my best to avoid the issues, because let’s be honest, there are people out there who don’t care about FNAF, and just use it to profit off of it (looking at you TheftKing) In conclusion, Fnaf is still an amazing franchise, and let’s hope the franchise will end on a positive note, and I’m willing to bet the move will be amazing. 🐻🎩🎂🥳🎉9️⃣

Anyways, I honestly just can't believe that it has been 9 whole years (almost a decade) since FNAF 1 came out! Truly an incredible and wild experience being a part of this whole FNAF community/fandom for so long now! And it went from being a failed kickstarter, to a big successful franchise. So excited for any future projects that'll come out for FNAF and everything else, especially with the FNAF Movie coming out very soon.

I can't believe that this series is 9 years old now. We've gotten so many games, and now we're getting a movie in a few months. Five Nights at Freddy's has truly come a long way. I may not be a big fan of FNAF games, but I am greatful that this game turned 9-years-old. It is a good game, that I would play more...
