    As an uneducated wanna be applique applier, I find your tutorials immensely easy to follow and helpful. I love your teaching abilities! Thank you so much.

    I didn’t even realize that she had a UA-cam channel. I am new to the embroidery industry, but started shopping on Etsy, and 8/10 times I chose her designs. They stitch out beautifully.

    The best video I've seen to explain this, thank you! :) I also did not know to iron it down before the satin stitching.

    Thank You very much for this. I just started to applique awhile ago and have been using SprayNBond but I cant get it here as its out of stock. Your instructions are easy to follow, so now I will get this HeatNBond. .

      There are several different types of Heat n Bond. Make sure you get the purple package that says LITE on it. Thanks for watching!

    Is it okay to do this on direct to garment embroidery after the placement stitching step? (meaning, not an applique, but just another layer to go under the embroidery along with the stabilizer? Then just iron it on after the stitching is finished?
    or is all of that likely to damage the machine

      The Heat N Bond lite has paper on one side of it. Once you iron it onto the fabric, then you peel off the paper and adhere it to your item. I am not sure how you would do this directly on the garment without attaching it to something else first since there is paper on one side. If you are referring to an embroidery design without any fabric, just stitching, there is no way to know what the outline of the entire design would be and how to cut the HNBL to that exact shape. HNBL does not damage machines, at least in all my years of experience. Thanks for watching!

    What’s your opinion on HNB Lite Stretch?

    • @CreativeAppliques
      @CreativeAppliques  9 місяців тому

      I have not tried it yet. My concern would be using it with a cotton quilting fabric that does not stretch. I would love to know what you think of it :) Thanks for watching

    Using dry setting on iron?

    • @CreativeAppliques
      @CreativeAppliques  4 роки тому

      Yes. Dry iron setting. NO STEAM! For best results, follow manufacturer instructions on the item packaging.

    Can I sew an embroidered image on top of heat n bond lite? Because I tried on heat n bond ultra hold and it was messing up.

    • @CreativeAppliques
      @CreativeAppliques  2 роки тому +1

      Heat N Bond Ultra is for no sew projects. I think they recommend that it is not to be used with sewing. Heat N Bond Lite is made so that you can sew over it.

    Thanks for the video. Do i have to apply that on an applique for a towel?

    Do you iron the appliqué while the project is still in the hoop?

    • @CreativeAppliques
      @CreativeAppliques  3 роки тому

      Yes. After the tack down stitching is done and the fabric is trimmed close to the stitching, I use a tiny iron to press down the fabric before sewing the finishing decorative stitching. Here is the iron I use: amzn.to/3qtOX3d

    Question-should you wash the fabric before you use it for embroidery? Or anything

    • @dmchace
      @dmchace 4 роки тому

      @Delia Castro Short it depends. If you are sewing it for personal/family, then you can wash before sewing. If you are selling the item you have sewed, then it is not recommended to wash before since it can be viewed as selling a "used" item since it was washed.

      I too had this question. If we prewash it to make sure of shrinkage would it also then be used??? I'm just worried it will shrink when the customer washes and the applique or embroidery not shrink and it being poofy even with the heat bond. So just curious as to what to do. Thank you for your response.

      @@crystal3565 if an item is not brand new from off the shelf/store, then it is considered used. With all the allergies out there, I would not risk washing before selling to a customer. You can add a note to the customer to only wash in cold water inside out and then hang to dry.
