I just discovered this channel the other day and I absolutely love it. I'm going to tell everyone I know about it, because I know at least one person who'll love it.
@@beetlecast ^_^ I'll try to remember. I think it's still got a ways to go. And I'm worried about the winter. Our house doesn't do so well in cold weather, no insulation and no central heat.
This was really well documented, and had enough energy that it kept my ADHD brain engaged, without becoming overwhelmed. Good pacing, not a bombardment of information and good camera footage. Well done mate. I'm subscribing
Yup, that's pretty normal, these beetles are naturally elusive in the wild and will hide. Have they begun eating yet? If so, then they're ready to mate but if not then should be soon!
They're normally like the ones in the thumbnail (Green with the streaks of red) but selective breeding has produced solid blue, purple, red, and green ones. They all have that amazing sheen!
@@rcuzumaki3482 Ayyy that's awesome, Kabutomushi are an amazing beetle! Also really appreciate that you commented on that video :) Glad to see other people loving beetles as much as I do!
That’s awesome! They’re a great beetle to raise. If you’re in the US, there’s several online sellers such as David’s beetles or jamjamexotic. If UK, there’s Richard’s inverts. The hardest part is probably getting them but if they arrive safe and healthy, then we’re good to go! Make sure there’s food (beetle jelly/fruit) in the cage, occasionally spritz water so it’s not dry, and keep them around 68-74 Fahrenheit. Those are the bare-bone basics so be sure to also check out some guides online. Wish you and your son the best!
@@beetlecast hayyyy thank youuu so much for your tips, my beetles already eat now and started mating they look so healthy even sometimes i see a little smol white insect at their body
@@genkakuyume9655 Ayyy that's great to hear! I wish the best for breeding :D If there's ever too many of those little white mites on their body then you can give a quick rinse under water but you should be fine.

Hay I need suggestion, why my rainbow stag not eating the banana or jelly i give
I have them about 2 week and im worry so much
If it’s two weeks after emerging as an adult then it’s perfectly normal! Give them a little bit more time and they’ll start eating soon :)
