probably would have been better to just make it harder to release the stock while extended. the slide release functionality of that lever is awesome, the fact that it unlocks the stock, not as awesome. they should have made that lever release the stock and release the slide only. then make a new button/lever/ whatever that can unlock the stock. youre never in a rush to unlock it but youre in a rush to release it and drop the slide.
I almost exclusively used the lever for reloads, and plan to use TacDevs front rail which I think the slide dropping lever makes a lot of sense. So glad to see you guys are addressing it.
Same, it doesnt work with every slide though. I have about 10 different Sig and aftermarket slides at my disposal for marketing and it only works with half of them. The slide drop feature has always been very finnicky with external tolarances. The Wilson Combat extended P320 slide release really helps though. The TacDeve charging handles are awesome.

I didn’t see anything on this change with the updates on the fluxdefense website when the raider x released. I have also seen raider x’s with the old lever that came with them. I hope you guys are going to take care of customers who want the old design on the raider x and not make them buy another part on top of the price they already paid for the raider x. Personally I like the feature of the old design. This video should have definitely came out with the raider x hype videos you guys did before the release and not after it was released. nobody but flux defense employees knew of the change until a few days ago.
Exactly. Just received mine and I’m super disappointed that it’s not the one pictured on the website. You’d think they’d publish this revision before listening them for sale. If they make customers have to buy the “Old Updated But Not” version that’ll be very scummy of them.
It was a complete oversight on our part and especially mine on the marketing. I didn’t even think about it when I was taking the website listing photos of the Raider X. I took the listing pictures 2-3 weeks before our new sets of steel came in with the correct release levers. The pictures took a long time to shoot and edit so I have to go back and try to replicate the shots with the new lever sometime soon. Just looking for the time to do that. Any new Raider X’s with the old lever are just an accident and again oversight. We didn’t think anyone even cared about the dual function because nobody ever told us they liked it. We have a ton of emails telling us they didn’t like it though and plenty of people who collapsed the Raider and smacked their face because of it. It only works on half the slides out there and does not work with many aftermarket and OEM slides unless you do some filing to the slide or buy an aftermarket extended slide release. Again, we didn’t think anyone cared about it so we didn’t make a fuss about it beforehand. Up till this point we have only had 5-6 people reach out to us wanting the old lever. Either way we are working on a solution so that everyone gets what they want. This is a mostly easy fix.

Maybe you guys could setup people who have the old lever and want the new one with people who have new and want old to do an exchange program with each other or something. I know once this lever comes off my raider x I won’t use it.
Haha we could setup a lever swap page for people wanting to trade. That being said, it is not exactly a drop in part. If we send new levers out to people it doesn’t guarantee that it will work in their Raider because there still is some hand tuning to them. That’s why whatever fix we come up with will have to take that into account.

Is there anyway to receive the lever advertised on the website though without having to spend additional money and purchase it separately? I emailed prior to this video in regard to this but haven’t received a reply. It’s really misleading to advertise the original lever on 12/13/23 but then come out with a video on 1/2/24 stating that it was suddenly changed weeks after people already made their purchases. It should have at least been an option or you could have provided the original lever for civilians and allowed professional users grind off the notch just like you allow anyone to cut out the manual safety on the frame.

Honestly, I think the whole lever thing could’ve been fixed by making that extended piece taller, only requiring a bit of downward movement to hit it. You can also fix the problem by not pulling the thing into your shoulder like it’s some magnum caliber rifle you’re trying to mitigate recoil on. I train that with mine all the time and it’s never been an issue
I'd rather have the option than not. People who complained could have just not used that lever to do it. I prefer the level because I can very easily ease compression and drop the slide. Just me though
Any plans for a P365 micro Raider? One that has slide mounted red dot instead of a riser and the ability to adjust the frame length for 10, 12, or 17 round mags would be my dream gun.
The raider X I ordered came with the old style lever on it still so I’ll take is as a bonus since I already trained myself to use it with the older gen.
Depends on what you ordered. The more items in your order the longer it takes but we have already shipped out 2/3rds of the orders from the recent restock. The last third will be shipping out in the next 2 weeks. It just takes a bit of time to process this many orders because we are small
After a shakedown with mine for sighting and putting 100 rounds through it. It’s a really great system, I’d only want this to lock the slide back rather than drop the slide. Locking the slide is cumbersome because the brace impedes my wrist. Love the product however!
I'd really like to see someone engineer a BAD lever style system for the 320 FCU that would eliminate the need for something like this that compromises one function for another. Something above the mag storage that could be actuated with a quick thumb press....
Why not just put a catch detent on the rear that would hold the rail when extended and then to collapse the stock you had to push on the detent to collapse the stock?
There already is a detent built into the frame but it doesnt stop it from collapsing because there is enough force to override it. If we go any stronger on the detent the rails would not relieably lock in during brace/stock deployment. If we were to think of a differnt type of detent it most likley would make the Raider wider.

I don't mean to come off rude, but if they are "Professionals" why can't they just not use the lever? Like why remove a function of the chassis that isn't mandatory anyway? Unless this is like the old A2 rear sight post issue? (where GIs were so ADHD that they need to fiddle with the elevation and windage knobs on A2 carry handles) Open for discussion, just think the change is strange.

If we didn’t tune it right it would cause the brace/stock to collapse or it would stop the brace from ejecting fully by not lifting the rail lock enough. It was so sensitive that it only worked for half of customers. The other half would need to file down their slide to make it work or buy an extended release lever to add more area for the release lever to make contact. Either way, it never worked the right way at scale because Sigs tolerances on FCU’s and slides are all over the place and we can’t possible know which ones will work or not. We have also only gotten complaints about it over emails so we were surprised that there were enough people that felt strongly about keeping it.

Any information on what the screw size/thread is for the pic rails? I got the pair of pic rails, yet 2 of the screws are way too short to use. I sent an email to CS a week ago with no response
CS turn around time is like 1-2 weeks right now because we are getting way too many emails for us. I will look up your email and ship you the correct screw. We had one of our new guys kit the pic rail baggies and he didn’t notice that there were different sized screws. What’s the order number just in case?
We are working on a new Glock Flux product since the original Glock one was discontinued around twoish years ago. M&P would be sick but there is no modular fire control unit in the pistol. We are not currently in the business of making serialized firearms, just accessories.

We could but we are not huge fans of how the old Glock brace was. It was not very ergonomic and there were major downsides to the mount up. We will still look at the M&P but it is not a high priority right now.
We are doing a pretty good job at demand right now. We have a restock about once a month and it takes about a week to sell out. Plenty of time for people who want them. Also, we are making them as fast as we can, why would we try to make them slower?

Just curious if those have the updated springs or if there is an eta on when they will have them.

Not yet. Right now people are chopping that part off their Raider if they want to use a slide with an optic mounted onto it.
+P+ collapses my stock on my original raider... is this why? Also I don't run +p+ typically. It was just for S&Gs
I will look into that. The added recoil impulse could be boucning the release lever and unlocking the rails but I will have to check.
