The town of Takachiho in Miyazaki Prefecture is well known throughout Japan as the hometown of the gods. Many people know that it is introduced as the first place where the gods descended in the Kojiki, which describes the myth of the creation of Japan. Knowing the origins of this country, which enshrines eight million gods, it is said to be the oldest among the Kojiki records. According to the myth of Tenson Kourin in the Kojiki, there is one pillar from Takamagahara, where the gods live, to Ashihara no Nakatsukuni (Japan) on the ground (the unit for counting the gods is 'pillar'). There is a description that the god descended, and after that, a god called Kamuyamatoiwarehiko was born in the third generation of the lineage of that god. It is also known as 'Jinmu,' and is said to be the birth of the first emperor following Emperor Akihito, who is the current 125th emperor. The name of the god who descended from Takamanohara is Ninigi no Mikoto. Since Ninigi-no-Mikoto, the grandson of Amaterasu Omikami, descended, the legend of the advent of Amaterasu's grandson (Ninigi) has been preserved as the Tenson Korin Myth. There are many. It can be said that this is the reason why the world of Takachiho myth is enriched. Takachihomine is the main peak of the Kirishima mountain range that straddles Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures. At the top of the mountain, there is an upside-down halberd that is said to have been used by the gods to create the Japanese archipelago.
Does anyone know if Egawauemon is the filmmaker, or if he simply uploaded the film? This work looks like Yuki Eikawa to me. The images are stunning and I love the way he uses straight cuts, and how he cuts from exterior to interior. It's pretty mind boggling!

Domo, thank you 1000 times. Japan is full of beauty, it's no wonder the culture is closed to the outside and yet, courtesy and its distinct culture is shared when tourists visit. I wished more cultures can retain its original beauty like Japanese culture, rather than try and copy the silly western model (McDonald's Starbuck's skyscrapers everywhere.....)

秀逸な映像に感動。高千穂は宮崎の白眉。「日本のひなた」ー これほど端的に気候風土を表現するとは…。その南国宮崎に、日本最南端のスキー場があるという(五ヶ瀬ハイランド)。道の駅フェニックスから見るの鬼の洗濯板、延岡の愛宕山からのパノラマビュー。仕事で何度か訪れましたが、思い出が蘇って来ました。
