Interesting. My chain shorteners are too big for the tiny WOC chain... I could force them into the chain but I don't want to potentially damage the leather... but yeah, it is much easier to twist the chain instead...

Dacob! There is something so elegant about the Classic WOC with the tube running through it. The version I went for is the Trendy CC black Lambskin- I love it but there is still something special about the classic style❤️
Such a practical bag/pouch/to-go wallet! I bought one in 2019 with the mademoiselle lock (reissue) because I know I'd be annoyed fiddling with the press button. Now after watching this I want another one in the timeless classic to fill the "void" uwu ❤️
I have the same one from 2015! twinning 👯♀️ i also have a square woc, it’s not the mini woc, it’s called the archi chic woc from 2018, its the same width but expands more than the classic and taller. I love them both! no lies though the seasonal one already went to the spa for fixing and my 2015 one stand the test of time.
I asked my SA for a chain shortener last month for my WOC and he gave me two, so yes they do still offer them. My favorite WOC is the trendy, with the larger turn lock. It looks much more like a mini bag rather than a WOC IMO

I watched it again although I had seen it live ❤️❤️❤️ I was reluctant to get a WOC in the past, because of the price, until I saw this strange one in the last F/W collection: Silver hammered leather, silver also hammered shiny hardware, classic cc lock, leather in the interior also, the front covers it till the bottom, with “rings” for the chain at the sides (chain is fastened there, it’s not adjustable), two compartments and two pockets, not puffy (I don’t prefer it puffy) - I just couldn’t resist 😇🌺💝
I have new version of WOC without a pipe, however I have heard it is done only on metallic/iridescent WOCs, in order not to wear out metallic coating. I do not know, if it is true or not. Anyway, for myself I find it more convenient for several reasons: 1. With tube I did not like how chain constantly goes in when you open it, like it does not stay completely outside and getting things in and out bothers me in this case. And I even do not want to use it as a clutch. 2. There is no rubbing of the chain against the flap on the sides, unless you shorten the chain 3. For myself I do not like that chain could slide around, this movement adds additional wear and tear again rubbing against flap and tube itself. And I do not want it could slide being on me worn. 4. I think that actually chain being under flap made this deformation of the top, but only time will tell for sure, here I have lack of physics calculation😀 Well, I think depends on the perspective of people, whether the changes are good or not. So far I like my version. And I do not think they really saved a lot on those changes, because in terms of materials production does not cost that much for the whole thing, like 100 dollars maybe🤔 best case scenario, here the time of workers is more expensive, but have no clue is the decrease of time spent is significant as well… Ah, and btw good thing about this new zipper pull, it does not hang, difficult to explain, but I like you should not constantly manually make sure how this pull sits between flap and the body of the WOC. I looooove WOCs. They work well for me because i dont carry too much with me due to my lifestyle (i dont drive in Shanghai so no car keys, my apartment door opens with code so no house keys, we pay EVERYTHING with our phones here so no need to carry a wallet either, police here accept passport photo in my phone as proof of ID in case of need). I carry tissues, phone, lip balm and one card. I love that freedom 🤣 Loved this video. Thank you Dacob!
@@ThatGirlJD no worries, in every single shopping mall there are vendors and restaurants with small automatic lockers at the entry that rent external power banks. So they open a locker for you, you take the external battery bank and go do your shopping charging your phone, then return it in same shop/restaurant or in any other place with the same locker machine. 😅
I've been considering a WOC for awhile. I've been staying away thus far since I have the mini flap and I already find that on the small side (I actually just started using it much more since I bought the Louis Vuitton Cles in Monogram- you inspired me☺)....but I feel as though the WOC would be nice for quick errand running as I only need a couple things. Perhaps I will get one in grey since I have all black Chanel bags right now.

Hi Dacob, just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this segment. It has always been my dream to own a Chanel WOC. But the price rises, even on good quality pre-loved, keep making it unobtainable. I think it's surprisingly roomy as I can imagine you can put your cards in the pockets and then just put in keys, face compact, lipstick and phone. I am saving up for one. What are your thoughts on: the insert you can buy to make the fold underneath stay down which makes the bag much roomier. And which bag era would you recommend since I will be buying pre-loved. There's a great shop in London that sells high quality and validated Chanel bags. I quite liked the 80s one with the pull through leather tube inside...which is your favourite vintage one?
Hi! I'm not Dacob but I do have a Chanel WOC and I put this insert at the bottom. It doesn't only make the WOC roomier but it also keeps the shape on the bottom so that it won't fold in.
my favorite iteration is the mini WOC! It appears a tad smaller, but actually fits the same if not more (without stuffing) thanks to its double gussets, and the top flap contains the card slots which are more accessible than the classic woc. AND it still has the tubular bit for the chain :)

I LOVE the OG vintage WOC sooo much better made. I must say however my Coach original Hayden WOC is made much better than these newer Chanel WOCS! It comes with a letter strap but you can purchase a chain to use instead.

I do have mini "mini" wallet on chain, and it is actually more substantial, than the classic woc. It has two compartments, rather than one main compartment. Plus it has like 6 CC slots on the flap. It is wider. Thew price was 2300 usd plus tax, back in April 2021. Now they came up with the reissue version ( but they call it clutch) and it is 2800 usd plus tax.
Oh I do not like this at all. It would have been smarter to run that leather from the original all the way to the end to prevent the bending. The new way looks ugly. It’ll still bend, agreed. Your gromets idea is way better. I am not happy with this at all, almost feeling insulted that it also increases price. You can’t clutch it anymore without it showing… I’m so annoyed… I feel they messed up a classic. Also I paid way too much for my 2022 tendy cc WOC in black lambskin with rose gold hardware…. But I love it. I love that I have gromets!

I own the vintage version. The leather quality is fabulous and bigger than the newer wocs.
The WOC fits more than what people would think. It's the perfect bag for running errands.
