I wish more gamers knew about this game. It really was great... they put a LOT of emphasis on dialogue( one time, fall asleep at the controls by it...), but asides that it was very enjoyable.
i really liked 2. the artwork was certainly different as well as the combat being a bit wonky though in a good way. the music made me not even want to press through the story (which i liked since it had people crossing paths but established that they for the most part were still their own story) sometimes just because it was so good. sadly it's become banged up over the years so i can't really play it anymore sadly. good ole gustave...
I loved the chronological concepts of this game. So much so that I sorta picture my own life going by in time frames like Gustav's did. The music rules too, even though this game is hard as shit.
To me the music in Saga Frontier 2 was sort of a doube-edged sword. The heavy amount of piano makes sense as a style choice for the game, considering it's a sort of historical epic, but the heavy amount of piano also works against it, since you hear it in most of the tracks in the game, where some are piano-only, so it ends up getting repetitive. It is a good soundtrack though, don't remember any bad ones from it. I like the second piece in this video.
So many memories...
The music in this game is breathtaking! One of my favorites simply for the music.
Inspired me to take up piano 6 years ago, did the music of SFII.
Happy to say im still sticking with it. Thank you very much Masashi Hamauzu

I actually emulated the game to finally beat it on my 3rd try. Just do it!
