A gentile is not a ethnic Jew, so how do they expect a gentile to go to back to their hebrew roots if they are not even Jews.
    And they say that Jesus name is pagan. No pagans ever worshipped Jesus, the Son of God.😂

    Here is what a person in Hebrew Roots told me. " Jesus died for grace, grace from our sins, past present and future. Sin is known as 'missing the mark', and the laws and books of Moses, the Torah, are generally considered to be 'the mark'. It was said that those things would never ever change until heaven and Earth were gone, so that's the mark I think everyone should be aiming for. If you aren't aiming for the mark, keeping the words of God, then how do you sin? Why do you need grace if there are no laws to break?"

    Yeah, it's a disater for the church. People are reading the Bible on their own. They're seeing what they're being told on Sunday isn't the same as what's in the Bible, and are leaving. When people leave, so does their money.

      Pretty broad statement. Plus you don't join a cult (Hebrew roots movement) and return to the Law as the Judaizers did as one's "remedy". I would think the true solution if you are truly part of a church which denies Scripture is to find one that does not. To instead join a group where you are basically a physical Jew following the Old Covenant at Mount Sinai and ignoring the New Testament (except a few select passages) is not the solution.

    "And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles." Zechariah 14:16‭-‬19 NKJV
    The Law was NEVER salvific.
    If people in the Old Testament could have been saved by following the Law and things like animal sacrifice, they never would have needed a Savior, and Christ would be irrelevant. Therefore it is NOT an offense to the cross when it is resumed under Christ's direction during His millennial reign.
    There is a FOURTH temple, priests and Levites, and ANIMAL SACRIFICE continually being practiced because it was never an alternative to the work of saving grace, and Christ being the Word in the flesh literally embodies the very laws you hate.

    Under the new covenant the ceremonial and dietary laws of the Mosaic law are not applicable, see Gal 4. In fact, it is part of the new covenant commandments to NOT judge people for food, drink, holidays or sabbaths, see Col 2:16. Thus, ironically, the Hebrews roots guys are the ones who transgress the new covenant law. They are the lawless ones.

  • @andyYoutubeEmail

    So what was the purpose of the Old Covenant and the Law which was given to the physical Nation of Israel at Mount Sinai? It was given 1) to define sin Romans 3:20 2) to make sin worse by increasing it Romans 5:20 and 3) to be a tutor to lead us to Messiah Galatians 3:23-25. Once Messiah came what happened to this "tutor" called the Law... it ended. Does this mean that we are Lawless... no... now that we fall under a different covenant (called the New Covenant which is NOTHING like the old one made at Mount Sinai) we have different laws (the Law of Christ) as well as we have a different Priesthood (no longer under the Levitical priesthood and it's physical killing of animals in a physical temple (again a shadow of the real Temple in heave). The Old Covenant was a "shadow" or "type" of the true sacrifice (Christ who actually did remove sin), a lesser priesthood (Levitical vs Christ), a lesser glory, etc. The only way animal sacrifices and it's subsequent levitical priesthood would return with all it's types and shadows of what truly occurred with Messiah is if the Old Covenant were to return which the NT Scriptures strongly rejects. Basically read the book of Hebrews, the book of Romans, the book of Galatians, 2 Corinthians, etc.

      @bonkers5640 Місяць тому +1

      No, it is clear that in the book of Ezekiel animal sacrifices will return. For example Ezekiel 45:16-17. If you read the prior two verses in the chapter of Galatians that you quoted you can see that Paul is talking about how the Law confines us and makes us deserving of a punishment, when faith comes we are no longer under that confinement. Still, Paul says in Romans 6:1-4 that we shouldn’t continue to live in sin and sin is transgressing the Law as said in 1 John 3:4. Remember we don’t keep the Law to be saved, neither did the people in the Old Covenant (Hebrews 10 and 11) but instead we keep it to show love to God, 1 John 5:3.

  • @cswisdom
    @cswisdom Місяць тому

    Keeping the laws of Moses, including what most people call the Ten Commandments, is about honoring the laws of the kingdom you belong to. Not all of the laws are for everyone. some are for women, for men, for priests, etc. Keeping the laws is not about salvation. The laws will not save you, but you can still pay a price for it. Modern day example is driving above the speed limit. It's our law. If I speed and get caught. I have to go before a judge, who can give me the full penalty of speeding or pardon me. What Jesus did was pardon us from immediate death for our sins against the Father. He didn't abolish His Father's laws. If he did, then murdering should be okay now. So should dishonoring your parents, stealing, and honoring any god you want. It's irrational to think that the God of the universe doesn't have any rules to follow. That's why the church is in the state that it is in. It's the reason why you can't tell the world from the church. Study the Bible for yourself and ask God to teach you the truth.

    1 John 3:4 says sin is the transgression of the law. So if Jesus abolished the law, then there is no more sin, If there is no more sin, then why preach to people and tell them to stop sinning and be saved? What are they being saved from? Why do they need Jesus? This is why the world, especially USA is in so much chaos. You can live any kind of way and still be "saved" and call yourself a Christian.

      Have you actually read all of 1st John? 1st John 1:8 says "if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." In other words, every one is a sinner, according to the Apostle John. That means every single person.Even after having faith in Jesus Christ, you still are a sinner. But your sins are covered because of what Christ accomplished on the Cross for us. As for the application of the Law, Paul said that the Law was necessary to teach people that they are sinners and need Christ.

    Just some thoughts:
    1. People don't become sinners because they sin;
    They sin because as decendants of Adam they are born sinners.
    We come out of the box that way.
    2. The Pharisees were the best Tora Keepers in history and thought they were keeping it until Jesus axed them with the sermon on the mount: Math 5:20-48. Their outward actions followed the law, but they still had Adams dark fallen motivations in their hearts.
    You can wash a pig; groom it; spray it with perfume, and train it to obey commands from a little stick (kind of like the law) but it is still a pig. Ask any FFA kid showing hogs at a county fair.
    3. We are broken and we can't fix ourselves, or stay fixed by keeping and working the Law. It is a delimma that only Jesus could handle and He did. So get off the RACK Jack, and get on His bus Guss!

    "You don't need to follow the Law but follow someone who did". Your words. Why did He follow those laws? The early assembly of believers followed the Law until Constantine in 321ce and the Catholic church (Council of Laodecea 364) changed it which they didn't have the power to do. Jesus said I came to fulfill -pleroo- the law. This didn't mean end it but to make it full. And then continued to say that not one jot or tittle of the Law would end until heaven and earth pass away. They are still here.Paul said we are no longer under the Law of Sin and Death--- not the law of God. He and all of the Apostles observed Torah. Paul even cut one of his trips short to get back to Jerusalem for....Passover. I believe many in the "Hebrew Roots " movement are mislead into following Talmudic teachings which Jesus railed against.
