Best large ball shell competition from 2021 PGI convention. Edited down to just the shells and immediate reactions. These are typically 8 inch single break shells.
All these shells were amazing, I know little to nothing about PGI do you mind telling me everything I need to know like how many days is it, how much is it and how do you sign up to go there
PGI is short for "Pyrotechnics Guild International." It's a membership organization ranging from people like me who love fireworks all the way up to people in the big display companies. The national convention (often simply called PGI) runs from a Saturday through the following Friday night, sometime early to mid August. It rotates around to different places, but usually in the middle of the country, this year was in Fargo, ND. Memberships are annual, $100 for a new member, $75 to renew. The cost for the convention was a little over $200. This was my first year, so I'm still learning as well. As I understand it, there are 3 nights each convention that are open to the public, and the hosting venue sells tickets, so that's also an option if one didn't want to go the membership route. There are all sorts of seminars and classes during the day, and PGI members can buy consumer fireworks from vendors during the convention. Hit up PGI.org and there will be lots more info. Next year it's in Newton, IA.
@@jft1911 i wont be able to travel half way across the country for fireworks though even if i paid for it but its still interesting and fun to learn about.
Competition for 2022 didn't hold to much. Very basic shells this year.
