Great review Luke and also very informative from the standpoint of teaching the proper way to roll urethane compared to resin.
Drilled mine 40x3.5x20 works great for me and I actually match up with it a lot better than true urethane
Very excited for the Rattler NU. It looks like what I wanted a ball like the Tour Dynamix to be.
I'm really excited about this one because i overall like the motion i get from the IQ78, but sometimes it gives the issues you described here. I haven't thrown the Nu Blue because I thought it would react more like a reactive ball for me (too quick and sharp). But this one looks like a good fit for me.
What a really fascinating ball. This NU cover is intriguing, to say the very least. I'm hopeful to grab one eventually, even if it's just to see what the heck it does for me.
Thank you sir! I was looking forward to your thoughts on this one! I hope at some point you do get your hands on it, I like the look of it
Hi Luke, how are you? Normally I don’t comment on non-SPI videos. I will in this case because I literally just got my brand new pitch black as you suggested. I am still not the most consistent with my form/game plus I’m still breaking it in but at least I got a few decent games for still a beginner/intermediate player. The good news is if I execute when I do, it’s doing decent so far as a spare ball. So I threw my friends nu blue a few times it looked good for spares, even straight with the smoothness and control. That’s what inspired me to get your thing and thanks to you and your friend and the live stream the other week you help me make my official decision and I’m glad I picked up the pitch black. I literally got it two days ago and I used it the day. I got it and yesterday and today as I am writing this comment.
Another thing is is the rattler different. It seems a little bit but not by too much.
Just got the hammer NU haven't had a chance to roll it yet picked it up for nationals this year
That looks like just the ball I need. I didn't like urethane so this may be just the ticket!
I just now noticed the Jayhawk... all i have to say... Who's house?! ROO'S HOUSE! 🫡 Awesome ball review! Edit: i really want this ball. Told the pro shop manager at my current house i wish they made a rattler with the nu cover, back in january/February. Kinda laughing that it happened.
love the videos luke! is it possible for this to be a good "benchmark" ball? also, if you had to change the surface to match angel's game, what surface would you put it to?
Probably 2000, just bump it up a touch so it's a little longer and shapes a little more, but I'm pretty sure it got there during filming anyway
Would you say the old storm Fever PItch is similar at all to these NU balls??? Thank as
Nah, the fever was more traditional pearl urethane, this stuff is a lot more predictable and consistent. The fever wanted to be both urethane and reactive at the same time but wasn't successful at either, the NU cover doesn't try to be either one, it fits in its own place between them
@@LukeRosdahl i just picked up a brand new 16# fever pitch hoping to use it for usbc open championships, I was hoping to pair it alongside an actual urethane ball like the fast pitch, pitch black, purple hammer etc. But maybe i should get this rattler NU and an asymmetric short pin solid. I have the fever pitch so I’m gonna drill it no matter what lol
I mean let's be honest. The IQ is for pba use only because as I've seen in league, they're the only people to get it to work properly. A ball is always going to be garbage when you stack early on top of early example Black Widow urethane. That ball was straight trash. I've many guys try to use the IQ in my sport league. They either can't throw it accurately enough or don't have the hand. Yes the blue is too much. I've had good luck with the Motiv desert tank rampage. But I will be pucking the new rattler up to see how much difference there is between it and the tank.
sorry Luke i hit the thumbs down by accident ...
my bad sir!!!
Lol you can always change it, it doesn't lock in eternally or anything haha. All good either way!
