    Hi Cary - so glad I have found you and your videos. I am new to hiking, of mature age, just moved to Canada and only for a year or two and I want to personally experience the beauty of Alberta. Not only do your videos show the beauty of Alberta, but they also help me determine if it is a hike for me. Having watched this video I am excited for September. Thank you, Cary for sharing

      Thank you for this comment as well😁 I am 59 years old so I don't do the craziest hikes out there. I try to do some easier ones and some harder ones, whatever my body will handle🤣 You should wait until about Sept 15 to do this hike. Usually the last 2 weeks in Sept are the best. Not sure about this year as Spring came late in the mountains.

    Beyond words!..Fairview and this in one day would make a great outing.
    Is it pay parking now in Lake Louise parking lot?..heard some talk.

    • @LIVEONALBERTA
      @LIVEONALBERTA  2 роки тому

      Both Fairview and Saddle could easily be done in one trip. Pay parking was in effect just until the fall, I think.

      @@LIVEONALBERTA That's what we heard as well about the parking, although we've been coming and parking there for 30 years and have never paid or have been asked to...possibly just incredibly lucky.
      In 2019 we did 6 Glaciers in July and were escorted and directed to parking spots but never had to get the wallet out.
      In any event, can't put a price tag on those view!
      Cheers

      The Skoki Valley is in behind the Lake Louise Ski Hill. There are numerous hikes in this valley, usually done as backpacking hikes. They can be done as day hikes though.

      It's when the trail will go right for a while, and then left, and then right, at a more gradual incline than going straight up.
