And here is my vicarious larch fix for this year! So thrilled to live so close to this mountain splendour. Just wishing to be working part time only…soon, I hope!
I have two more videos coming out with the larches in the weeks ahead. The first one is when I took the Lake Louise Gondola, and hiked around the top. The second is back in Arethusa Cirque, this time I hiked the whole Cirque with about a 1000 other people😁
@@LIVEONALBERTA lotsa fellow hikers “scuse me scuse me scuse me ooops, sorry, blocked your photo op scuse me scuse me”. Definitely no bears on those hikes! Looking forward to more of your videos. 😃
@@LIVEONALBERTA Nope! But I have had hikes like that! Most memorable was a hike to the Plain of Six Glaciers Teahouse where I encountered an English lady paralyzed with fear as she tried to negotiate her descent down the trail through a slippery snow covered section. As my usual hiking clothes/boots were still soaked from hiking the Opabin Plateau the day before, I was dressed in my best 80s chic (jeans, checkered shirt and “gasp” running shoes. I stuck out like sore thumb. Nevertheless, I demonstrated my best “you can do it” technique of pole planting and skittering to poles with the help of a few “friendly firs” along the way. She managed to get moving again (much to the relief of her husband) and my friend and I continued up to the Teahouse. It was stuffed full of hikers but the brownie was delicious as we savoured the views, including a few avalanches cascading off Mt Lefroy. It was glorious despite the hordes of hikers. And I bought a pair of micro spikes after that!
Larch, and hike on a fall day in the Rockies, it simply doesn't get any better.
Thanks!...needed this👍😊🌲
You got that right.😁 And not a lot of people. Thank you for commenting.

Plain of Six Galciers is one of my favorite hikes. I am definately doing it again next year. I just posted my new vid😁
Lovely to see a new video! Hope you're doing well.
I've not heard of this hike before. I'll have to look into it, it looks really beautiful.
I am doing great, thank you. It's a great area to hike and explore with the whole family, and only about 1k to get to the cirque. 😁
@@LIVEONALBERTA I'll add it to my list!
Well worth it.
