I disagree that they detract from the viewing experience.
"There's so much bad in the world." You Michael Bay, are one of them. Thank you for raping one of my most beloved childhood memories. There's a smaller studio that does a TV show called TransFormers: Prime. And surprise, surprise. It's got character development, good action, a fantastic story, and a lot of seriousness and emotional moments. If a cartoon can outdo a big-budget movie, you KNOW that Hasbro seriously needs to rethink their priorities.
So. You're 17 and you understand how bad this movie is better then alot of my friends who are around 30 years old. There is hope for the future afterall. Except for the part of how us foreigners supposedly don't want good acting and good movies and only care about spectacles. We want good movies as much as anyone else.
Same here, the first one was the best one, two and three were just a meh/10, but 4 and 5, were asstastic. Especially 4, I never thought I could get so bored watching shit blow up so much...and I didn't even see 5, trailers were all I needed and My God, DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE DIALOGUE.
Oh fuck yeah. I remember watching the 4th on an illegal stream thing, fuck like I'm gonna pay money for that shitshow, and just being bored out of my fucking mind at even the explosions... Which... You gotta hand it to Michael Bay... It is quite an accomplishment to make explosions boring. Credit where it's due.
And now we are getting Transformers 5 in summer of 2017. Same director. Same bullshit and more. Age of Extinction gave me brain cancer. I feared I might not make it.
I wouldn't set them too high, granted those writers aren't ehren kruger but still except for akiva goldsman none of the writers mentioned have made a significant mark in the film industry, except for the ones involved with the first iron man movie
When he said that foreigners want to see things explode with a guy explaining the plot points, I cringed! I was like; seriously? movies are dubbed over..(I tough it was a common fact.) and if it has no translation, people just don't watch it. is like watching a good anime without subtitles is impossible. > also the reason why those movies are popular is because teens and kids go to cinema to see things explode.
But he said some countries don't have dubs or subtitles. Anyway even if he was wrong there it doesn't take much away from what he's actually saying. Most people don't care about story. They care about spectacle.
yes! most people care about the explosions, but I was cringing cuz the idea of a guy holding a microfone in a theater is just ridiculos, c'mon I'm a foreigner, not a alien! also he said not eveything has subtitles, I tougth he didnt know people dub over.(I'm dumb)
As a guy from a non English speaking country, I can tell you that actually Ralph was quite wrong and that the reason movies are the way they are is because the general audience will flock to silly action, not because foreigners don't understand English.
Thing is, he was talking about China specifically. Apparently it's a unique situation over there. I'll just copy and paste another comment that describes it better than I can: "The Chinese marketing is much more sinister than this video describes. Beijing is intentionally manipulating Hollywood film studios to add in Chinese propaganda in order to appease the strict approval system for foreign films to be shown in China. For studios, it's all about money. For the government in Beijing, it's about influencing international public opinion about China and the US. They want to make China look like the hero, as depicted in the scene where Hong Kong naval officers call the "central government" for help. They also want the US government and military look like the bad guys, as you see here, where the main supporting villains are CIA agents and people associated with them. China won't allow any film to show in China that makes the Chinese government look bad, or that makes the US government look good." I can't say I have evidence to back this guy up, or even Ralph for that matter, but it does explain a lot.
michael megson no ,the problem with bvs was that it had not enough character development and you have to think if you want to understand the movie ,bvs is really good ,just don't turn your brain off ,but there's nothing to understand in bayformers ,this piece of shit doesn't make any sense and it's only purpose is to show us robots fighting each other and that's it ! they don't even try to make something good ,this is one of the worst franchises of all time...but never say that bvs sucks ever again or i make you watch the entire twilight franchise

Thinking back, it was a shame they handled it like this because Lockdown and the Dinobots are some of the coolest shit to come from Transformers. Instead, they had to squander the original concept of Lockdown as a villain so they could set up a sequel immediately.
Transformers Doesn’t Need to be 3hrs Long. Bumblebee was and hour and a half and it has good pacing, great action, fantastic effects, and is essentially the blueprint for how Transformers movies should be in the future and seems like the next one is following that blueprint.
I just saw the trailer for the fourth movie, and I gotta say I was NOT impressed, especially when you consider what little continuity the series had left. Like holy shit, we did dinosaurs, why not dragon transformers? In fact, why don't we make a transformer that uses the pixl effect to turn into a 2 ton bottle of bleach? Because I think at this point that's what the audience REALLY wants.
8:44 I actually thought the word was gonna be 'suspense'. Because of the way you held the drum roll a bit longer than normal. I thought it was a clever way of setting up the concept of the final thing needed, by demonstrating it. I just read too much into it...

It's funny how you think foreign people might find it hard to follow North American blockbusters. English's gotta be the most basic, easiest second language someone can master. I'm Brazilian and I became fluent by playing video games... And of course, dubbing is a thing that exists, y'know. But I see your point about the box office.
I get your point but I think the China thing is bigger than that. Unlike South America or Europe or Latin America or Africa there is a huge fetish for all things American in China regardless of its content. In South Korea they sell shirts everywhere that have English words that make no sense. People where them because it says "coca cola is I drink my hand." Chinese cinema is fucking amazing so this isn't saying they're stupid movie watchers. But it's a big fad to consume American culture no matter how shitty it is
If your country doesn't speak a predominant Romance language (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German) it'd probably be very hard to learn the language since your language has no root ties to English (Catanese, for instance)
I honestly want a reboot of the transformers films. But not live action, make it animated (it can still be for adults if you wish) and make it in the g1 universe, or a universe that makes fucking sense.
Fun Fact: Micheal Bay actually didn't want to do ANY of these Transformers movies, Paramount made him do them. Maybe that's why they're so bad, he was trying to get fired.
I live with two boys who worship, yes, defend the Michel Bay movies with every fiber of their being even when something wrong is brought up in the movies. One will threaten in detail what he would do to those who disagree in the praise of their Michel Bay. He's a big kid, and has resorted to violent outbursts before with nasty results. The other simply shuts out any verbal reasoning and ignores you with loud babble and praise to the "genius" of Michel Bay. I'm really scared.
11:55-12:09 What's even funnier and more insulting is that the age of consent is 17 in the state ofTexas (which is where this portion of the film takes place). So Michael Bay is just being a complete piece of shit.
I think the reason that American movies have gotten dumber has more to do with American audience's getting dumber as opposed to foreign audience's. Most Europeans are brought up being exposed to foreign language cinema so they're used to viewing subtitled movies and viewing movies from all over the world. American audience's on average refuse to watch foreign or subtitled films resulting in foreign films being remade for American audience's and they're usually a dumbed down version of the original film. A few examples being the American Old boy, Martyrs, Godzilla, any Japanese horror movie, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (which is not terrible but the original was better), Solaris, Let Me In and so on. That's not to say that European and Asian audience's don't have their own dumb masses but the dumbing down of American films (primarily BlockBusters) has more to do with the American audience's becoming dumber more than anything else. If anything audience's outside of America are far less forgiving and accepting of these dumb movies than American's seem to be.
The first Transformers film was okay. And yet, compared to the million sequels it looks like fucking gold. I never loved that movie, but I'm nostalgic for it now. We've really hit rock bottom, and somehow we're still digging
We have so many talented Directors such as Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, David Lean, Stanley Kubrick, William Wyler, Orson Welles, Charlie Chaplin, Preston Sturges, etc dropping like flies yet Micheal Bay is still out there making "movies", why do we lose talented people and gain untalented bastards like Micheal Bay and Adam Sandlers?
As a person in "Foreign Countries", I totally agree. I live in Korea and I used to watch movies in subtitles just like most of people here until I hit 21 years old when I could understand English just by hearing it. Subtitles does makes you care less about the context imo. People's focuses are automatically fixed to that bright white text so generally you can gloss over the bad acting, incoherent storytelling, bad effects, etc. You don't have to focus on lines because subtitles will feed you almost forcifully. It's most likely automatic acceptance of what they are talking about, and why is never needed. It kinda feels like I'm watching a film without missing anything because I read every line flawlessly, but in fact I might be bored the hell out of the movie and just reading it out, watching things blow up. Sometimes subtitles themselves are so bad as 50 years old publisher executives want to be "hip" with their younger audiences by cramping memes as much as possible, or just translation is shit. But I found a lot of people didn't mind because most of them can't compare it with actual lines and there's not much of difference when it's all just text. People can find bad Korean movie(which doesn't need subtitles) and shit over it. But I don't think a lot of people found movies such as Star Wars prequels, AVP, Transformers, etc bad in any way.
I have fallen asleep 3 times at exactly the same point in this movie (after Optimus got taken into the Alien Space Ship). I just gave up trying to watch it. Also, I have watched this review series of yours twice and still watched all 3 episodes to completion. Food for thought. Good job.
Oh Ralph. The majority of world's population speaks some kind of major language. And it's really not that difficult to subtitle a movie. People do it for fun on their own. A distribution company as large as whoever distributes Transformers can surely handle that. More than that, a lot of languages such as Spanish, Portuguese and other European languages, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and so on get a full-on dub. In fact, they often get local celebrities to do a part in dub to promote the movie in that region. So, for a distribution company, even full voiceover is not that much of a moneywaste. The way you put it, it really sounds like "people in foreign countries don't care about the story, they're not in it for the art, they just want dumb popcorn entertainment". And it's kiiiind of offensive.
man, i love your videos. i don't even care for Transformers, not only the movies, but the franchise itself, and i'm watching all of these fucking reviews of yours back to back.
Ralph your point about people not understanding what movies are about in other countries isn't quite valid. I mean, I love this video and I love you, but 99% of the world population can watch hollywood movies in their first language. It's not like people in china are going to the cinema and watching a movie in a language they don't understand. They dub the movie. And most of the time the dubbing is done extremely well by acclaimed actors. What you are right in, is that the wider the target audience is, the more artistic integrity you'll have to sacrifice. It's just that this isn't down to language but more down to cultural differences. A film that does well in India, maybe isn't going to do well in Spain because India and Spain are vastly different cultures. And by trying to appeal to as many different cultures as possible, you'll end up with something bland and boring as this piece of shit you're talking about. Keep the reviews coming.
I'm from Brazil, and the american movies here are subtitled ou dubbed, it's not difficult watching this kind of movie. Actually, it's easier to watch an american movie that a national one.
I'm a huge fan of your videos but you re-won my heart with "Gizoogle". Also, before and after this video there's been an ad for Transformers 5. I really look forward to your review of this next year or whenever.
why is the 2007 transformers movie way better than the future movies ? the cgi in the 1st one is stil amazing till this day I hope they can redeem the movies with last knight
Im late but here the answer, Michael Bay make his movies longer which give less time to make good renders of the robots and since time is money, they had to sacrifice quality to make the movie in time.
16:00 Do you talk about third world countries, right? I live in small foreign country (10 millions people) and belive it or not - people don´t like movies just for spectacle. Most of movies have shitty dubbing in cinema, but later almost every movie get a subtitles by fans.
Every incarnation of Transformers has given the lead Decepticons color to distinguish them from one another. One of the many reasons the action in these movies sucks is because they refused to give the Decepticons color (and they gave many of the Autobots so little color). There was such an obsession with making the movies look gritty and dark that the only characters that stand out are: •Bright red and blue Optimus Prime •The twins (forgot their names and colors) •Highlighter green Ratchet •Green apple Crosshairs •And lemon yellow Bumblebee. The good guys don't have to be the only ones with color, especially when you're gonna have mostly gray/silver creatures fighting other gray/silver creatures. I personally like Transformers Prime, a cartoon from a few years back. They made the lead Decepticons stand out. Just to mention a few, you had: •bulky, gray Megatron with giant spikes on his shoulders and a giant cannon on his arm, •Soundwave with spindly fingers and big angular shapes that made up his body, •bright red Knockout with headlights on his chest and gray to break up the red, •and lanky Starscream with big wings and a hunched back who was the only gray and silver Decepticon that stood out on the warship. And the thing about Starscream being the only silver Decepticon that stood out is that, the movies could have made disposable drone Decepticons that were silver and looked the same like Transformers Prime's vehicons and had lead Decepticons fight the Autobots more. They didn't have names and they looked the same. But the movie should have made the lead Decepticons Megatron and Starscream and maybe a few others have appearances that better matched who they were. •Megatron has spikes in the first movie, that's good, but spindly fingers instead of claws (which they end up doing for a later movie)? Megatron should have been the only Decepticon that was that color gray. •Starscream's inverted triangle shape immediately made him bulky. Even in G1 Transformers where everyone was basically blocks, the characters still managed to look fairly slim. The shards that make up Starscream's feet, arms, and legs look weird and he's just, overall, kinda similar to Megatron. In other incarnations, there was an obvious difference between Starscream and Megatron with Starscream looking inferior. In the movies, it isn't until Megatron's second look that he looks very superior to Starscream. He looks like someone equal to or lesser than Starscream in the first movie.

But where I live it's basically culture that you just grow out of that. I know a ton of people with dyslexia (I actually do for some weird reason) and I don't hear them complaining about it.
@@sir.hopper As someone who spent the majority of his childhood and early teens watching subtitled shows (Japanese anime, foreign language dramas), I don't agree with your argument at all. In fact I am so used to subtitles that I prefer to switch them on even when I'm watching something in my native English language. Even Netflix has subtitles for all of their shows. I disagree that they detract from the viewing experience.
This movie made me hate the colour orange
It wasn't Trump that did that?
Crash made me love orange again

"There's so much bad in the world." You Michael Bay, are one of them. Thank you for raping one of my most beloved childhood memories. There's a smaller studio that does a TV show called TransFormers: Prime. And surprise, surprise. It's got character development, good action, a fantastic story, and a lot of seriousness and emotional moments. If a cartoon can outdo a big-budget movie, you KNOW that Hasbro seriously needs to rethink their priorities.
dude he's reviewing dis movie not prime
I'm just putting it out there.
I know
At least he creates jobs...
Tell that to DC Comics.
He knows statutory rape technicalities by heart. He carries them around with him. That makes it fucking creepier.
So. You're 17 and you understand how bad this movie is better then alot of my friends who are around 30 years old.
There is hope for the future afterall.
Except for the part of how us foreigners supposedly don't want good acting and good movies and only care about spectacles. We want good movies as much as anyone else.
I'm 19 and I hate this series.
Mgen Strange Hmm, I thought the first one was okay, and still is.
I thought the first movie was okay, everything after that went downhill however
These movies are two hour plus headaches.

"My carpet in you"
ew
That is funny.
lmao
And now we are getting Transformers 5 in summer of 2017. Same director. Same bullshit and more. Age of Extinction gave me brain cancer. I feared I might not make it.
Micheal Bay wants you to suffer before you die. I cry for you. ;-;
I'm not watching it. No way. Fuck that movie.
They hired new writers that actually researched he lore of Transformers.
I have high hopes for this film.
I wouldn't set them too high, granted those writers aren't ehren kruger but still except for akiva goldsman none of the writers mentioned have made a significant mark in the film industry, except for the ones involved with the first iron man movie
Don't see it.
11:16 - 11:21 "How bad can a movie get?" *Transformers The Last Knight*
That green "blood" looks ridiculous.
I miss Shia. I miss Megan Fox. I miss the original Transformers. I miss Megatron. I just want to watch the first movie again.
I miss when the transformers gad personality like the first one with the autobots, even though that movie had some flaws
VitorMiguell I lived in South Africa and they had different versions with Xhosa Zulu Afrikaans and English with subtitles on every version
I'll just copy and paste another comment that describes it better than I can:
"The Chinese marketing is much more sinister than this video describes. China won't allow any film to show in China that makes the Chinese government look bad, or that makes the US government look good."
I can't say I have evidence to back this guy up, or even Ralph for that matter, but it does explain a lot.
I think it's obvious Drift got his Japanese mien by surging weeaboo sites.
i watched this movie on netflix with my ex boyfriend. it was almost as terrible as the sex afterward.
leegravy damn
I think it's a woman. But even if it was a gay guy, are you guys still living in Tha Dark Ages? What's the matter with you?

Still a more coherent story than batman vs superman
For a second there i thought you were going to say that Twilight has a fanboy
michael megson no ,the problem with bvs was that it had not enough character development and you have to think if you want to understand the movie ,bvs is really good ,just don't turn your brain off ,but there's nothing to understand in bayformers ,this piece of shit doesn't make any sense and it's only purpose is to show us robots fighting each other and that's it ! they don't even try to make something good ,this is one of the worst franchises of all time...but never say that bvs sucks ever again or i make you watch the entire twilight franchise
Connor Morley and if you hate man of steel you have an alergy to well-made superhero movies
BvS isn't good, it's mediocre.
Dragon 54321 I enjoyed BvS Ultimate Edition. Man of Steel is shit though.
4:02 it's been 7 years and i still cant get over how funny it is that they couldn't even be bothered to use physical props in this shot; just a PNG of the my little pony toy and then a PNG of a gun. but, of course, they used a physical prop for the Beats sponsorship. it's just indescribably funny to me how lazy it is
Huh, I was wondering why the pony looked off
so a new trailer came out and guess what, people convinced it looks good this tome, lol
T-1000 tale as a old time....
They hired new writers that actually researched the lore of Transformers.
I have high hopes for this new film.
A tale as old as time
Fool me once, shame on you.

I AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN'T havin' dat shit.
Thinking back, it was a shame they handled it like this because Lockdown and the Dinobots are some of the coolest shit to come from Transformers.
Instead, they had to squander the original concept of Lockdown as a villain so they could set up a sequel immediately.
Lockdown is a great villain.
Only outside of the movies. Animated forever!
Bonecrusher vs Optimus Prime is the best fight in the whole franchise
Somebody once described Transformers action scenes as "a junkyard rolling down a hill."
I wish you had more subscribers, you're reviews are hilarious
OMG THE INSTAGRAM VIDEO HAHAHAHA
I love seeing random footage from the movie and having no idea if Ralph slowed it down or if it's just in slow motion for no fucking reason
Damn that was an *awesome* video! loved the ending.
Because I think at this point that's what the audience REALLY wants.
shock019 Transformers 15 will have a robot rocket raccoon rip off at this point.
This feels so modern almost ten years later. Like even now it feels like this could’ve come out now
8:44 I actually thought the word was gonna be 'suspense'. Because of the way you held the drum roll a bit longer than normal. I thought it was a clever way of setting up the concept of the final thing needed, by demonstrating it. I just read too much into it...
Thank you for existing im really glad the points you brought up to call out their shit, and turning Michael Bay's and th writers words against them. Probably one of the best movie reviewer I've ever seen. Keep up the good work and good luck with king candy I cant wait to see it
It's funny how you think foreign people might find it hard to follow North American blockbusters.
English's gotta be the most basic, easiest second language someone can master. I'm Brazilian and I became fluent by playing video games... And of course, dubbing is a thing that exists, y'know.
But I see your point about the box office.
It has been proven that English is the hardest language to learn
+6 shooter jajajaja good one
I get your point but I think the China thing is bigger than that. Unlike South America or Europe or Latin America or Africa there is a huge fetish for all things American in China regardless of its content. In South Korea they sell shirts everywhere that have English words that make no sense. People where them because it says "coca cola is I drink my hand." Chinese cinema is fucking amazing so this isn't saying they're stupid movie watchers. But it's a big fad to consume American culture no matter how shitty it is
lol try to learn portuguese or russian
If your country doesn't speak a predominant Romance language (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German) it'd probably be very hard to learn the language since your language has no root ties to English (Catanese, for instance)
I just love how at the end you can tell Ralph and his brother are trying so hard not to laugh. XD
I honestly want a reboot of the transformers films. But not live action, make it animated (it can still be for adults if you wish) and make it in the g1 universe, or a universe that makes fucking sense.
They'll make it set in the G1 universe, but it's actually based on Headmasters' dub and the Allspark is called "Power Pack"
Live action Fall of Cybertron movie. MAKE IT HAPPEN!
@@yuwu585 is Blaster named Billy?
@@wakspacific6928 yes and also Fortess Maximus has come himself
7 years on and you finally got Transformers: One.
Keep pumping out content Ralph this channel is awesome.
To anybody wondering what happened to part 1; Ralph is facing some copyright issues so he made the video private.
Review Bee Movie.
Fun Fact: Micheal Bay actually didn't want to do ANY of these Transformers movies, Paramount made him do them. Maybe that's why they're so bad, he was trying to get fired.
Feels like a lot of big budget Hollywood movies are relying more and more on bad CGI effects. Idk what their excuse is.
Maybe it's because they have different opinion than yours!
That last clip after the review was perfect Brother interaction.
Holy shit! The "Romeo and Julet" Law thing was REALLY weird! I never really thought about it, but yeah...super weird!!
11:55-12:09
What's even funnier and more insulting is that the age of consent is 17 in the state ofTexas (which is where this portion of the film takes place).
You aren't wrong for the most part but Let Me In is a great remake. Hard disagree for that movie being even associated with those other shitty movies.
The first Transformers film was okay. And yet, compared to the million sequels it looks like fucking gold.
I never loved that movie, but I'm nostalgic for it now. We've really hit rock bottom, and somehow we're still digging
Films get 'dubbed' with new dialogue
This makes me appreciate the first movie even more, especially the note about the sound design
What if a transformer arrived on earth in the 90s and it became a fresh prince of bel air transformer

Well, I have my nightmare fuel for the evening. Thanks Ralph!
Part 1 is missing
I agree. I'm from Brazil, and here all the popular movies are subtitled or dubbed.
That animation tho nice work ralph
XD the add I got for this was a transformer action figure set.
loving the look of that cheeky teezer at the end
well Ralph it's 2017 and the 5th film will be out this month.....I can't wait for that review
19:39 the little smile while he says "And you have gay haircut" made me laugh a little too hard
Oh my gosh the product placement in this film was absolutely appalling
Even looking at this video I'm exhausted watching giant lumbering metal falling over like tumbleweeds.
This movie is awful as fuck... but I still kind of enjoy it as a guilty pleasure.
FilmToaster How?
Love that ralph acknowledged the raid 2 being one of the best action movies i loved it too
I fucking love this Ralph. Make a fricken movie soon. Live up to your name lol!!!
Don't worry about that he's going to make a movie later on this year.
the shots in Boogie Nights are astounding.
I think Micheal Bay is just trying to have fun with his movies. Yeah he's doing it cause he's making money. But at the same time, explosions.
If the film was 1 hour and all three hours were put together like how Ralph did it at 7:05 then the movie would probably have been better
Hey, part 1 of this is a private video. Is that uploaded somewhere else?
man, i love your videos. i don't even care for Transformers, not only the movies, but the franchise itself, and i'm watching all of these fucking reviews of yours back to back.
Actually, it's easier to watch an american movie that a national one.
i love your videos and logic so much.
the samurai robot is just a weaboo
We need to get part 1 back up fellow disciples of Ralph
I lost it at Gazoogle.

I'm a huge fan of your videos but you re-won my heart with "Gizoogle". Also, before and after this video there's been an ad for Transformers 5. I really look forward to your review of this next year or whenever.
Hey Ralph , I'm from India where most of us speak English . And we always care about the content and Bay's movies are unbearable.
thank you Ralph. I very much enjoyed the part where you shitted on the ten minute explanation of statutory rape.
why is the 2007 transformers movie way better than the future movies ? the cgi in the 1st one is stil amazing till this day
I hope they can redeem the movies with last knight
Maybe they cared a bit when doing the first one.
BumbleBee takes a piss on John Turturro. They didn't give a flying fuck.
Im late but here the answer, Michael Bay make his movies longer which give less time to make good renders of the robots and since time is money, they had to sacrifice quality to make the movie in time.
"you have gay haircut"
best quote of 2015
That is my favorite quote from him
well in a lot of countries they dub movies does that mean that china doesn't dub movies?
Putting that Tucci moment at 12:40 killed me.

WOW.. you REALLY educated him.

What is the song name
16:00 Do you talk about third world countries, right?
I live in small foreign country (10 millions people) and belive it or not - people don´t like movies just for spectacle. Most of movies have shitty dubbing in cinema, but later almost every movie get a subtitles by fans.
Every incarnation of Transformers has given the lead Decepticons color to distinguish them from one another. One of the many reasons the action in these movies sucks is because they refused to give the Decepticons color (and they gave many of the Autobots so little color). There was such an obsession with making the movies look gritty and dark that the only characters that stand out are:
•Bright red and blue Optimus Prime
•The twins (forgot their names and colors)
•Highlighter green Ratchet
•Green apple Crosshairs
•And lemon yellow Bumblebee.
The good guys don't have to be the only ones with color, especially when you're gonna have mostly gray/silver creatures fighting other gray/silver creatures.
I personally like Transformers Prime, a cartoon from a few years back. They made the lead Decepticons stand out. Just to mention a few, you had:
•bulky, gray Megatron with giant spikes on his shoulders and a giant cannon on his arm,
•Soundwave with spindly fingers and big angular shapes that made up his body,
•bright red Knockout with headlights on his chest and gray to break up the red,
•and lanky Starscream with big wings and a hunched back who was the only gray and silver Decepticon that stood out on the warship.
